Noam Chomsky Makes Sense

Four words I never thought I'd put together.

30 comments:

  1. Hey look, even Chomsky agrees with us.

Guess he's just part of the massive Zionist globalist conspiracy. His entire career (well, if one can call it that) and writings have all been a front so he could defend the government when they finally enacted their Final Plan.

  2. Funny thing is - the super-kewl CT creators would've no doubt been avowed Chomskybots had they actually been accepted to a film school.

Or perhaps Chomsky doesn't want to be upstaged in the anti-Bush/America fauxmovement, and he's towing the "who you gonna believe - Ivory-tower god or film school rejects?" line. Kind of like a Democrat primary, without the fangs and nails.

Have to say that Chmosky can certainly make what resembles sense when he tries to. The problem is that he never tries to make sense, since leftism doesn't require one to think.

    Lo, the irony.

  3. Sorry - the LC creators, not the CTers. Different things.

Cass - What's the big deal about the political affiliations of people who peddle conspiracy theroies?

It matters, and is an elephant in the room (for many on the left). The difference in this instance between the left/right is that a) the right wing has no investment or any part of the 9-11 denial movement, and b) the kooks on the right wing aren't "going mainstream." For example - almost 40% of Americans (by some polls' esimations) at least find the LC bullsh*t plausible, and many believe it.

Given that LC is a fabricated lie that is on its way to the ashheap of history, I think it can be construed from these kinds of polls which political party has more dupes and CT-consuming lunatics in its ranks. Propagandists, like Michael Moore, for example, are given positions of stature and admiration within the "truth to power" crowd, and that crowd also resides on the left side of the isle.

You can't avoid it. These LC fools are the creations and bastard children that decades of unchecked radicalism and post-modern deconstructionism hath wrought, and it isn't the GOP that they're threatening to destroy.

  4. And what political philosophy supports thoughtless comments like that?

No political philosophy. It is common sense.

  5. "9/11 denail tangetially supports the terrorists who want to kill people. Creationism actively suppresses scientific progress and is complicit in denying medical aid and progress."

So - tangentially supporting the media and propaganda aims of terrorist murderers is less important than the questioning of a controversial scientific theory in a small number of US classrooms and a large number of US homes?

Forgive me, but I'm not convinced.

Any data to suggest that creationism is becoming the norm in science classrooms? That bio classes are throwing out textbooks and are replacing them with Bibles? Didn't think so.

Trying to find "right-winger" nuts to compare these LC disciples to is merely an attempt to divert away from the political affiliations and motivations of the creators and purveyors of the LC "movement."

Who do you think the LCers want to win in November? Answer that, and there's the political party they're attempting to use (hijack) to tell you what to do should the obtain power.

Believe it or not, there is a school of, well, thought is too kind of a word, but a school of something which maintains exactly that. The idea is that people like Chomsky (Amy Goodman is another person prominantly mentioned) are "gatekeepers," people who let out just enough of the "truth" to make it look like there's real debate but who in fact are working for the elites to keep the whole story, whatever that is, from the people or sheeple or whatever we're called these days.

    ReplyDelete
  7. David Manning White didn't know just how prescient his "gatekeeping" research was - we are just now starting to see on a mass level the TV and print media sausage factories unravelling - only partially, at that.

Fortunately for the masses, the 'gates' of information have been basically blown off with the proliferation of the Internet and the keepers aren't as influential or as nearly as powerful as they see themselves.

  8. good lieutenant:

The debunking movement is non partisan. Why encourage a split with pointless partisan insults?

Do you honestly think Alex Jones is left? You obviously want the CT movement to be left, so you look for evidence to support your bias. But in my experience the CT movement is just as much the loony anti-globalist right wing.

  9. I told you guys, the only libs who believe this crap are a small % of liberal sheeple.

They're not even liberals. They're members of the far Left who have donned the once noble title in an attempt to make themselves seem normal.

  10. I often find Chomsky's views a little too far out in Left field for my liking but at least the man uses facts (most of the time) and has the ability think somewhat rationally.

You're giving the man far too much credit.

  11. Chomsky = damage control for "Israel."

  12. Chomsky = damage control for "Israel."

...right, one of the foremost critics of Israel is damage control for the nation. The guy who wanted the dissolution of the state for a binational state, which would have quite an Arab majortiy. (Putting scare quotes around an actual country is by far the stupidest thing you've done, and that's saying a lot. Hey, look - there's that so-called "China".)

Nesnyc, why do you continue to pull these gems out of your ass? It might be nice if you were read on at least one subject before you commented on it.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Oh just realized why nesnyc said that. Chomsky's a Jew.

Guess you can't use your "Zionist" defense now.

  14. Chomsky, meanwhile, will often reach weird conclusions but he'll rarely conjure of an opinion out of absolutely nothing.

Oh, yes he does extrapolate from actual events. He just makes ridiculous claims like the Soviet Union was fighting for freedom of Eastern Europe and the United States was to kill millions in Afghanistan. Oh, and no genocide occurred in Cambodia.

  15. Little known fact, Chomsky is also a cousin of Michael Chertoff...

  16. Sorry LT but you're off base on this one. Being unable to think is hardly limited to the left. There are plenty of people on the right side of the political spectrum who are just as unable to understand simple logic. For the most part, these types of conspiracy theories are the work of extremists. Keep in mind that the KKK, and many other holocaust deniers, are in fact technicaly right wing for the most part, even though they get quoted rather often by far-left whackos like our very own insync. The fact that more people on the left side of the spectrum can beleive that the 9/11 CT's are "plausable" is mainly due to their political leaning. If there were a CT which made the democrats look bad you can bet your ass that there would be more people on the right would say it's "plausable" than there would be on the left.

  17. 9-11 Denial is where the extreme far left and the extreme far right have gone so far out that they end up meeting each other. Both extremes are a minority within their respective wings.

A small percentage of the population, regardless of political orientation, cannot or will not use the usual filtering mechanisms like Occam's Razor, and are prone to falling for conspiracism in varying degrees.

I'd put money on a majority of Americans thinking Occam's Razor is some new Gillette product.

  24. we Provide The following three Services:
So are you looking for cheap WoW gold to buy? That just isn't the answer. The answer really lies in a gold making guide.Honestly, I have to say once you find that right guide, you will start to buy wow gold flowing in. A perfect WoW guide has very great gold making strategies that the average WoW player wouldn't think about.

Recently the guild that I play in was devastated by a hacker. Our Guild Leader was away from home and needed his wow account, so he stopped by an internet gaming shop. You know, one of those shops that specialize in making online game accessible when you have no access to a computer. To make a long story short it was empty. Thousands of World of Warcraft account and all of the material contents of the bank were gone.

Free runescape accounts is a very debatable topic. Many online players believe that searching for them is a waste of time while other think it is the best or easiest way of making runescape account and money. It is really not a way of cheating because the company that founded runescape has no problems with it.jackwalk1985

  25. Having played Nazjatar-Horde wow gold a Druid since the beginning of Burning Crusade and observed it going from the second least-played class at 60 toNer'Zhul-Alliance wow gold the third or fourth most-played class at 80, I have my own theories about what's Ner'Zhul-Horde wow gold influenced Druid population numbers particularly, but I need to do a little more digging before I can be sure. However, I don't know whether Nesingwary-Alliance wow gold any of it really applies to other classes, and the meteoric rise of the Death Knight is a thought-provoking (and somewhat Nesingwary-Horde wow gold troubling) trend.
