Should We Lay Off The Strawmen?

We often hear gripes that we're attacking strawmen when we take on stuff like the pod people, or the no-planers. But given the poll results yesterday, it is clear that there is another strawman among the 9-11 "Truth" movement; the inside-jobbers aka the MIHOP crowd. It now appears that this group is a minor pimple on the butt of the real "Truthers" who are apparently clustered around the LIHOP theory.

Look at the reaction to the poll from the various "Truther" outlets. Over at 9-11 Blogger they think they're winning. We don't see any weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth over at the Looser forum, either; no mourning for the 84% who turned into 4.6%. Alex Jones is trumpeting this poll as well. Nobody else seems to be noticing the 4.6% MIHOP figure, so we can only assume that they are not really concerned with the "inside job" allegations at all. It's just a slogan.

What do you think? Is focusing on the inside-jobbers just a distraction from the real questions?
