Paranioid Truther John Wright on Tulsa Radio

I had to love this show (6/30/11 episode downloadable in MP3 format at website). The segment with LeftWright starts about 75 minutes in. Wright makes a complete ass of himself, starting with his dedication, in which he manages to mention just about everybody but his dog.

He drones on and on, like the Ever-ready Bunny on crack. It's a classic Truther performance and eventually the two radio guys, who have treated him quite fairly, are reduced to talking about their lunch plans in the background while nutbar Wright filibusters frantically.

But not to worry, Troofers! He's doing it on purpose, because he "realized" that they were not having him on the show to treat him respectfully.

When the "hosts" confirmed my suspicion that they only invited me on the show to ridicule me and the movement, I made a tactical decision to filibuster as much as I could. I realize that my long introduction was a bit over the top, but that was a strategic decision to seize the high ground in three ways.

1) By mentioning that I am a United States Soccer Federation certified referee (going on 5 years now) at the outset, the listeners see a regular guy reffing soccer matches and authorized to do so by a national organization which is affiliated to a world governing body (FIFA). We referees are also trained to be impartial and objective, both qualities one wants from someone analyzing data and expressing informed conclusions.

Yep, he thought that mentioning that he's a soccer ref gave him credibility with the listeners.

Wright is of course a classic conspiracy nutbar, as this excerpt shows:

That said, my working hypothesis regarding the presence of individuals on the planes, who would later be identified as "hijackers", is that 19 men fitting their general description were on the planes under one of the following scenarios:

1) They thought they were part of an operation to hijack planes and fly them into targets.

2) They thought they were part of an operation to hijack planes for some other reason, perhaps to make a demand of some kind.

3) They thought were doing more reconnaissance flights to study airline security, etc.

4) They thought they were part of a red team/ blue team exercise of some kind.

Update: I see that James already covered this, but as our posts are substantially different I will leave this one up.

Gage's New Consultant

Box Boy Richard Gage and Waterboy Kevin Ryan are teaming up to appear on Coast-to-Coast, the show that's usually about alien abductions and lizards ruling us all. They are to appear against some debunkers supposedly from JREF, although of course it's not really a JREF event, just forum members, including Dave Thomas, who has done some excellent debunking.

Gage even picked up a consultant, the brilliant and aptly named Winston Wu.

Hi all,
Richard Gage of AE911Truth.org and a team of scientists are scheduled to debate a team of JREF debunkers on the Coast to Coast program in the next few months. Gage has put me on the mailing list after reading my suggestions to him in how to debate the JREF crowd and which points to emphasize, because he would like me to be a consultant to his team. I am honored of course.

The debate is scheduled for July 31st. Gage is truly fortunate to have a razor-sharp mind like Wu's on his team:

It's too bad ciscop isn't here. He would love the group that Dave Thomas is president of, New Mexicans for Science and Reason (http://www.nmsr.org), since ciscop is mexican too. Why is it "new mexicans" though? Is there referring to Mexico or the state of New Mexico?

No, they're New Mexicans because they just became Mexicans. ;)

Screw Loose Change On Mancow!

I will be on the radio Friday morning with MANCOW to discuss Rosie O'Donnell and her recent "Joe Friday" routine regarding 9-11 and WTC-7. MANCOW is a nationally syndicated morning drive time show that airs in Chicago and 30 other markets around the country. My segment is scheduled to begin at 8:05 Central Time, but it may appear at different times elsewhere due to tape delay. Click here for details on the show; I am not sure if you can listen live over the internet, but I will check on this. Note: I am expecting only a 5-10 minute segment, and we will not be taking calls.

MANCOW had a memorable smackdown with Alex Jones, Dylan Avery and others. This guy goes on Alex Jones and spanks him like a red-headed stepchild.

Screw Loose Change On the Beeb!

I am scheduled to be interviewed on the BBC sometime this afternoon, I assume for later airing. I will put up more details as they become available.

Update: The segment will air on the BBC World Today program which is broadcast over many NPR stations. You can also listen here at 23:00 GMT, which I believe is 6:00 PM on the East Coast, with rebroadcasts at 10:00 PM and 1:00 AM. They had already interviewed the Loose Change boys (all three participated) and asked me a few questions. I have done quite a few radio interviews, but this was the first time I'd actually done one from a studio. Thanks to Bill Shedd and the rest of the folks at KJZZ and the BBC for setting this up!

Update: We may have to wait for the show to be archived at that link; I don't appear to be in the 23:00 GMT show that is up there as of now.

Update II: Others heard the stream of the show at this link. It will be on again at 10:00 Eastern, and eventually the archive will be up.

Update III: The show is now available in the archive under 23:00 GMT. The segment on Loose Change begins about 3/4 of the way through the show. I am very pleased with the results--the Loosers talk too fast and I came across as calm but confident. Shows you what good sound editing can do. ;)
