"Ben" Lying Again

You can find all sorts of websites where people collect bits of information and try to weave them into conspiracy theories. Sometimes this doesn't sound good enough, so you just make it up. Loose Change claims:

Ben Fountain, a financial analyst who worked in the WTC, told People Magazine that in the weeks before 9-11, there were a number of unannounced and unusual drills where sections of both the Twin Towers and Building 7 were evacuated for security reasons.
They provide a link to a site which claims that. But if you do a simple Internet search for the actual quote, you find, from a conspiracy website no less, that that is not what he said:

Ben Fountain, 42, a financial analyst with Fireman's Fund, was coming out of the Chambers Street Station, headed for his office on the 47th floor of the south tower. "How could they let this happen? They knew this building was a target. Over the past few weeks we'd been evacuated a number of times, which is unusual. I think they had an inkling something was going on." [People]
This is how these theories grow, someone says something relatively innocent like "we had a fire drill in one tower" and all of a sudden it becomes "all three towers were evacuated for security reasons". By version 3 it will grow to "Dick Cheney was seen carrying in several large packages".

Then, as if this wasn't bad enough, their very next statement contradicts their theory.

Daria Coard, a guard in the North Tower, told Newsday that security detail was working 12 hour shifts for two weeks before 9-11. But on Thursday the 6th, bomb sniffing dogs were abruptly removed from the building.

OK, so what this is essentially telling us, is that during the weeks preceding the attacks, when those "unusual" evacuations were taking place, presumably allowing conspirators the opportunity to sneak explosives into the three buildings, extra security, including bomb sniffing dogs was brought in! Yeah, it should have been a piece of cake to bring in thousands of pounds of high explosives and place them all around 3 buildings with extra patrols of bomb sniffing dogs.

Brilliant plan if I do say so myself.

I have always thought that bomb-sniffing dog thing was a little odd. Are they seriously claiming that all the bombs needed to bring down the WTC were planted after September 6? Loose Change has another part where they talk about the power down, but I'm sure that's a month or more before the bomb-sniffing dogs were pulled.

If I remember right, they turned the power off on some of the floors in one tower on the weekend of 8-9 September to do some work. They didn't close off the tower though, they just turned off the power. This of course has morphed in the conspiracy community to "strange men turned off the power in all of both towers and blocked anyone from coming in".

Most of these theories have one little shred of truth that gets stretched into something different.

I guess that discredits all the firemen tapes, eyewitnees reports from ground zero, and the mainstream press reports of the day about explosions going off. Another fine job by the Screw crowd!

Scott Forbes IT DBA for a bank also reported strange activities as well as a power down. Knocking out all security cameras.
If the screw gang did some research they would had found out Stratasec the security company entrusted with Lucky Larry's property was an all inclusive company. Meaning end to end. Humans can be bought, dogs do not know how to lie, makes perfect sense to have them removed.
