Why We Keep Blogging

A couple of commenters have asked this. The main reason is that the lies are still out there, still spreading. Although, as I have noted, very few big liberal blogs have covered Loose Change, when you look at the teeny, tiny blogs there is a steady drumbeat of support for this movie.

Here's a Technorati search for "Loose Change" for blogs with a lot of authority (hundreds of links from other blogs). As you can see by looking at the graph, the term barely registers. A few of the posts have to do with money, several are from my Brainster's blog, and a couple are from good folks like Damien Penny. I believe the only blog with a lot of authority talking about Loose Change positively in the last two weeks is an Italian blog, but even there I'm not positive; Babel Fish didn't settle the matter.

But if we drop the authority to nothing a different picture emerges. There are about 100 references to that term per day and while some still concern coins jingling in one's pocket, there are a startling number of posts on teeny, tiny little blogs recommending this trash film.
