Yet Moron Ron Paul

Our buddy Curt at Flopping Aces has a good post on some of the Ron Paul quotes you won't hear from anybody other than Nessy:

Stating that lobbying groups who seek special favors and handouts are evil, Paul wrote, "By far the most powerful lobby in Washington of the bad sort is the Israeli government" and that the goal of the Zionist movement is to stifle criticism.

Captain Ed has more:

He added, "We don't think a child of 13 should be held responsible as a man of 23. That's true for most people, but black males age 13 who have been raised on the streets and who have joined criminal gangs are as big, strong, tough, scary and culpable as any adult and should be treated as such."

I believe all the attention being focused on Paul is as a result of a very smartly coordinated campaign to push him to the top of various search engines, possibly coordinated from this site.

To give you an idea of how successful this effort has been, here's a look at polling data on Ron Paul from Gallup:

First Choice for 2008 Republican Nomination
Based on Republicans/Republican leaners

Other 2

Hunter, Gilmore and Hagel had less than 0.5%; obviously Paul did not even register.
