Assessment of 9-11 Troof in Canada

Although the focus is on the Canadian brand, this summation sounds pretty accurate for the US Troofers as well.

Other newly added material included "United We Fall by Press for Truth" (4) , "9/11 Truth info wars rising" by the Alex Jone's (5) of Infowar and for the first time at a 9/11 civil information event a newsletter was introduced and titled "Global Underground News Network" (6) headlining stories such as "Black Bloc=Police Provocateurs", "Media Blackout Usually Not A Good Indicator" and "Judaism is not Zionism."

All these newly added leaflets came to be with no group discussion under the familiar banner of 9/11 Truth. "How did this happen?" I thought to myself when not too long ago this small productive group of 9/11 truth activists would settle issues and make decisions on material over (7) tea, coffee and friendly conversations after a good days work on the 9/11 civil information lines. Somehow the priorities all change as new blood moved in and replaced this small groups democratic decision making with the Infowar- We are here- Get use to it anarchy rules!

I suspect what is happening is that 9-11 Troof has been largely abandoned by the Left. It was appealing when one could argue that exposing the "inside job" would get rid of Bush and Cheney and end the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Of course, nowadays it's harder to make that argument with Obama in power and the wars grinding on with no sign of ending.

I don't think it's so much that right-wingers or libertarians have suddenly signed up en masse. Alex Jones and the Ronulans have been around for years. It's that the rest of the movement has disappeared, leaving only the bitter core. We Are Change and Alex Jones have given the libertarian/survivalist wing a focus, at the same time as Obama's election has sapped the movement of so many of its liberal followers.

It is appropriate that the Troofers are reduced to muttering about microspheres. They are rapidly becoming a micromovement.

I figured this would happen. Most of the left-wing "truthers" are driven by Bush hatred and with him gone, the fire has gone out of them.

As for right-wingers attracted to crackpot conspiracy theories, there are newer ones that fit their views better, like the "birther" conspiracy or the "secret Muslim" one. I don't think the nuttier members of Glenn Beck's audience are going to retroactively decide that Bush did blow up the WTC now that he's not in power.

9-11 Troof was never embraced by the left. You said so yourself. And for those on the left who did embrace it, it was career suicide.

It was appealing when one could argue that exposing the "inside job" would get rid of Bush and Cheney and end the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Well, it wasn't appealing enough for anyone saner than Cindy Sheehan to actually use.

Though, to be fair, the Bush administration gave the anti-war left so many valid reasons to oppose the wars -- Abu Ghraib, Gitmo, no WMDs, that sort of thing -- that they had no need for something as goofy as 9-11 Truth.

Trite, it was not accepted by the organized Left. But a lot of individuals on the Left accepted it anyway. It's the difference (say) between the Huffington Post and their commenters, or DU and their posters, or Kos and his posters.

Who exactly is doing the muttering, Pat? Why have you never sourced this claim?

Your speculation on the "movement's" political orientation is sourceless nonsense, per usual. More "Ice Cream Movement" analysis from PatShit Crazy Chewy Defense.

You talk to Rachel and Sara yet? Or are you still too chickenshit to even face them?

Hey asshole, stop using my screen name "9/11 Chewy Defense" & stop referring me as "Pat Curley". I go by that name on JREF & you think that I'm "Pat"? Listen up dickhead cause I'm only gonna say it once, my name's Wil Clark, not "Pat Curley".

Also stop abusing the comment section of this blog. You don't like what you read on the blog then go somewhere else you idiotic Truther.

I think Pat Curley should ban you from commenting on here. All you do is make trouble for yourself & you've got a loud mouth.

I have to wonder why this isn't bigger news so far, but 9/11 deniers seem to have actively refuted their own worldview by uploading the NIST burn video database, which basically proves that not only did NIST vigorously test multiple hypotheses to explain what happened on 9/11, but some of those hypotheses included bombs, controlled demolition, and the like. Check out our latest post for the details. Did you guys do anything on this yet? I feel like we must be a little late to this story.

The left-wing element best known for 9/11 bafoonery would be Ed Asner, Rosie O'Donnel, Chuckie Sheen, Willie Nelson.

Also, excuse my French, fuque the RJ Lee report and their iron spheres. The RJ Lee scientists didn't have a problem and the Troofers have yet to produce an independant study of their own that points out that there should be a problem.

Salt air causes steel to rust. A structure complex like the entire WTC property had a steel face that would be measured in square miles. All it would take is a thin sheen of rust on the face of the steel to get your "mysterious" micro-fucking-spheres.

Add in all the acetylene torches used during the construction of the WTC, the construction (ongoing) of other buildings in Manhattan, and then their use in the rescue/demolition of the site and those spheres make sense.

In fact if the RJ Lee report DIDN'T find iron microspheres in their survey then there'd be reason to question the official story.

Have a nice day, die in a fire.

Okay, but I don't think that constitutes a large enough faction of leftists to justify a blanket statement like "9-11 Troof has been largely abandoned by the Left."

Furthermore, Kos has stated policies against 9-11 Truth, and the other places you mention were never exactly friendly towards it.

Put it to you this way: any leftist who still embraces 9-11 Truth in 2010 is at least Delusional on the SLC Nutbar-O-Meter. In 2006, merely being Wacky might have been good enough. But I don't think that's a significant number of people.

I disagree with the assessment that twoofity-twoof is 'rapidly becoming a micromovement'. It has been a 'micromovement' for years.

Trite, I mean abandoned by those on the left who embraced it. The result has made the movement look libertarian/survivalist, when really they were there all along, just outnumbered until sometime around the election.
