Loose Change Inspires Terrorists?
Well, now Cynthia McKinney is no longer the biggest idiot to have watched Loose Change. One of the men arrested in the airplane bombing plot may have seen it as well:
After 9/11 and 7/7 Waheed was sceptical about whether Muslims could have been responsible. He watched conspiracy videos on the internet. He believed them and thought they made sense. Like most people in the world, he was anti-war. But his solution was: fight the enemies of Islam by showing them the real Islam, a religion of peace.
That's a friend of his talking to the reporter; obviously he appears to have intended something quite different.

This is the new CT theory - if these people believe the 9/11 and 7/7 attacks were fakes to frame muslims, they why would these same people plot real attacks?
Of course when cartoons making muslims look violent were published, radical muslims rioted in protest. So it appears that wackos have a tendency not to make sense.
But polls in the middle east show that many people believe america did it to themselves yet they deserved it, and osama didn't do it yet he isa hero for taking on america. Go figure.

It repeats again at midnight EST on the History Channel. I just caught it in the 2nd hour but I'm DVRing the midnight show.
From what I've seen, this show should put a dent in the deniers. Of course, they'll claim it's government propaganda and dismiss it. How convenient.

I'm not 100% surprised that a lot of Arabs in the middle east believe some of the wilder theories. Their entire media is a big orwellion orgy. Each animated show, commercial, and newspaper cartoon has, at one point, been a subject to serve the leader's whim.
When I hear children saying they want to see Bush burn to death or hundreds of Muslims all yelling "Death to America" in unison, then I turn my neck looking at Alex Jones and Dylan Avery, I lose a bit of sanity of just how stupid the world has become.
Ever since I did Screw Loose Change, I've known a little too much about the world and what happened on 9/11, and I can thank for the theorists who emailed me accusing me of being a government shill before I even knew what Loose Change was about.
It's been one interesting year for me, that's for sure.

I am reminded of columnist Thomas Friedman, who was in Israel when 9/11 happened. He visited some contacts at the IDF, and asked them if Al Qaeda could do this, and they said "Sure, Arab terrorists have been conducting sophisticated operations for years."
He then travelled to a couple different Arab countries, where everyone claimed, "There is no way Arabs could have done this, this is way too complicated, they aren't smart enough"
Friedman then pointed out the irony that the only people in the Middle East who thinks that Arabs are smart are the Jews.
