9-11 Denier Nut Wins Florida-15 Democratic Primary
Robert Bowman, a 9-11 Denier who appeared on the Alex Jones panel that was broadcast on C-Span, will be facing off against incumbent Dave Weldon in November. The good news is that it's a solid Republican seat; Weldon won 65%-35% in 2004, so Bowman is unlikely to get any closer to Washington.

I'm predicting that Weldon, being the status quo, will remain where he is, Bowman really has very little say in the matter although he may indeed believe in his cause. It's really up to who is going to count the votes that matters and those folks work for "them."

I live near FL-15. The area is heavily Republican. In Bowman's district, the GOP primaries for Governor and Senate drew twice as many voters as Bowman's Democratic House primary did.
(In Florida, you have to be registered with a political party to vote in its primaries.)
It'll be interesting to see how hard Bowman runs on 9/11 truth and how well he does.
It'll also be interesting to see how hard Bowman's opponent runs with Bowman's 9/11 truth. Because that act is not going to fly in this town.

Joanbasil, the "9-11 truth" movement consists of people who believe Holocaust deniers' blatant fabrications, misrepresent photos and make falsifiable claims in supposedly scientific papers, and demand to be given a cookie for their "courage" for making up shit. I've read a few Kos diaries referencing Bowman. Someone usually does some fact checking and they find out that he's padded his resume, then he gets dropped like a hot potato. Trust me, the lefty blogs are not gonna let this guy get traction.

Its weird that you'd be outraged about ordinary people trying to get the whole truth about an event that's still surrounded in so much murkiness.
I can't speak for abrashtx, but if it were only that, joanbasil, I don't think there would be outrage at all. It's that, when presented with solid evidence that refutes theories (like Contolled Demolition, for example) people prefer to cling to what's been refuted that my bile starts to rise.
