There Is Intelligent Teenaged Life Out There

But sometimes it's hard to find the signal through all the noise. Here's a teenager that clearly has his head screwed on:

As for the claims that the government needed a new conflict of interest to garner public support, I say this.

Convienience, and coincidence. As a liberal, and a known Bush basher, I am not fooled by the fact that Bush has, is, and will until 08, manipulate(d) 9/11 for his personal gain. I feel that he uses it to guilt people into thinking that you don't give a shit about all who died on that day unless you are behind him and his agenda, this ideal magnified by his acolytes in the white house, and trailer parks across America. I also think that Bush had knowledge of a possible attack, but didn't fail to act on it, just that he didn't do enough being the incompetant bastard he is (he either can't do anything right, or he is smart enough to manipulate the whole country, can't have it both ways people).

What I don't think, is that A) Bush and friends organized 9/11, and B), that Bush just let it happen.

Great post!

Incorrect assessment right off the bat. Bush can hardly put two sentences together yet he understands manipulation of 911 for "his personal gain?" Throw this in the recycle bin with all the other manure.

All's he has to do is repeat "9/11" over and over, dumbass.

No dumbass, he's finished because of the "war" so there is no personal gain no matter how many time he mentions 911, if he were that smart.

the iraq WMD lies are a tricky bird too.

One minute it's trendy, the next minute it's, "Oh it was just Bush. he's stupid but oh well."

It wasn't just "trendy" for "one minute"; some of those quotes date back to 1998 or earlier. People of all stripes - democrats, republicans, commies and greens - have been saying for years that Sadam Hussein was a problem, and his chemical and biological weapons a cause for concern. Yet, ofcourse, they all seem to have forgotten what they were saying back then. It's just so much easier to blame Bush.

Of course Bush didn't manipulate this. However, all one need to do is wonder why he wasn't taken out of that Florida school ASAP. "Don't want to frighten the kids!" Well BS. The Secret Service allowed Mr. Bush to remain a target of terrorists while staying at that school. If terrorists can find looph holes in radar coverage, skirt through security measures at airports, then thwart the air defense of the country they could easily find out where the President's next speaking engagement is and try to wax him there. No what should have happened is the President upon learning of the attack should have been taken very quickly to Air Force One and shuttled off to some command bunker. Instead he continues to read and then issues a statement about the day's events from the same dam school. Now why didn't the Secret Service remove him from harm's way? Did they know he wasn't a target at all?
