FBI Stalking Jason Bermas!

Over at the Loose Change blog Dylan is claiming that the FBI is stalking Jason Bermas because (wait for it) a forum that discussed Bermas, got a grand total of 4 hits from the DOJ. I wonder if it was the guy in the black hat?

In somewhat of a response to outlandish websites such as these, it has come to our attention that the Department of Justice is possibly stalking Jason Bermas.

Bermas belonged to the fraternity, Iota Tau Kappa, and still hangs out with all his old buddies. In fact, Bermas is a constant topic of discussion over at the ITK Forums.

The ITK forums have recently been visited by the FBI. But don't take my word for it.

I am mostly just surprised that Bermas actually went to college long enough to join a fraternity.

Update: A poster in the comments from the fraternity responds that this was a result of a fraternity brother who worked for the DoJ. One of the rules of conspiracy theories is you have to ignore the obvious explanation. He also denies any association with Loose Change:

I have no affiliation with loose change and never intended for these speculations to be published on public sites.

And points out that Bermas was not a "constant topic of discussion":

I'd also like to clear up the statement that Bermas is a "constant topic of discussion", as it is stated on the loose change blog. This is not accurate. He is a brother of our fraternity and as expected, his name comes up sometimes. 4/320 topics have been started about him and 18 posts contain his name when I ran a search on the forum.

I have removed the link to the forum at his request, however, since we have made clear that this action was done by Dylan, and not the fraternity, I am leaving the name of the fraternity up, since whether they like it or not, they are part of a legitimate news event (within the world of covering nutty conspiracy theorists admittedly). The post has disappeared entirely from the Loose Change blog, with no correction or indication that it was ever there.

ive actually found that more often than not those DoJ hits are just hackers with transparent proxies reporting false IPs, i get alot of spam posts from them on my forums

Jeff, posting it once is sufficient. Spamming will get your comments deleted from any blog or forum on the Internet.

If the FBI was truly stalking Bermas, don't you think they'd use a proxy that was a little less obvious?

That's like trying to stalk someone by walking 3 feet behind them saying, "Hellooooooo. I'm stalking yoooouuuuuuu. Helllloooooooooooo. I'm a stalker and I'm stalking yoooouuuuuuuuuuu."

Not to mention the fact that if anyone actually did work at the DoJ, there's no way they could acknowledge it on a forum and expect to keep their job.

I have a friend who worked for WWE and got canned for a livejournal entry mentioning seeing some wrestler in the hallway. And that was Vince McMahon's company....

Not exactly as strict as one would assume the government to be.

The fact that the URL was directly inputted means very little.

Anyone can do a google search, right click and select "copy hyperlink", then paste it into the address bar to prevent giving away the referral site.

4 hits from the DOJ.

Well it's not a squad of police or a black helicopter but it'll have to suffice, I guess...

Could it be at all possible that an ITK alum now works for the FBI?

Nahh, couldn't be.

Oh, man... here I go again, off topic. Sorry guys.

Inside Higher Ed article: "Are College Students Techno Idiots?"

Money quote:
"Overreliance on Google is only one of many technology problems facing college students. A new report released Tuesday by the Educational Testing Service finds that students lack many basic skills in information literacy, which ETS defines as the ability to use technology to solve information problems.

...The challenge was to see if students could identify trustworthy information, manage that information, and communicate it effectively. The results do not inspire confidence."

How is this relevant to this blog? Well... how many conspiracy fantasists build their entire 9/11 worldview on what they find on Google? And how many manage to truly "identify trustworthy information, and communicate it effectively", as opposed to the numbers that completely blow it?

How is this relevant to the FBI & Jason Bermas? Well, it's not, really. That's what I meant by it being off topic. But anyway... thought this was an interesting read about how students don't seem to be able to research and process info gathered from research well. Which we directly see the effect of in the Conspiracy Fantasy sites we all criticize here.

Done now... back to original topic.

Wait. Four undisguised hits to a website where Bermas isn't even a member is stalking him?

C'mon Dylan, you terrorist piece of garbage. This is the same Justice Department you're accusing of successfully covering up 3,000 murders. They disappeared a whole planeload (oh, and the plane!) of people from right under the nose of the NASA employees in Cleveland but they can't run their web queries through a proxy?

I hope you get stomach cancer, you piece of shit.

As has been said before, the biggest rule of CTs is that the conspirators are simultaneously the smartest and dumbest people around.

Why? Why? Why?

Why on Gods earth would the FBI want to stalk a little dumb asshole like Bermas. He is about as much of a threat to the FBI or national security as my grandmother.

PLEASE, STOP THE INSANITY!!!!

1. Maybe Spermass has a fetish for little boys and farm animals.
2. Conspiratoids see the conspiracy everywhere. I'm surprised he doesn't see them looking at him through his bathroom mirror.
3. He greatly overestimates his own importance.

I'd say probably all of these are reasons, but if I had to pick one, it would probably be the third.

PLEASE DYLAH GO TO THE MIDDLE OF THE DESERT, STRAP ON A BOMB AND DO A "TEST RUN" ASSHOLE.

BTW...
Check out the Pentagon section seems douchebag Lyte Trip and Dylan have a video that will "blow apart" everything about "what really" happened at the pentagon.
It seems they have 10 solid witnesses that saw what really hit the pentagon.
I guess the 100's who saw flight 77 hit the pentagon were covert agents.
You should hear the way Lyte Trip brags about this video.

The only person who should be stalking Bermas is a plastic surgeon to fix that fucked up looking face of his.
He looks like some sort of medical experiment gone wrong.

I'm the admin at this fraternity's forum and the DOJ network location I discovered was what I suspected: a brother of ours, who is a registered member, who works for the Dept of Justice.

Our forum is a private website for brothers and alumni of our fraternity and I am annoyed that screen shots of this forum were leaked for the public to view. I have no affiliation with loose change and never intended for these speculations to be published on public sites. If the owners of this blog could please remove the link to my forum and mention of our fraternity's name, I would appriciate it. It is useless to view our site because the registration is private.

Thanks everyone.

Please email me if there are any questions.

I'd also like to clear up the statement that Bermas is not a "constant topic of discussion", as it is stated on the loose change blog. He is a brother of our fraternity and his name comes up sometimes as would be expected. 4/320 topics have been started about him and 18 posts contain his name when I ran a search.

I'm sure Dylan will promptly remove and edit his blog entry implying this

The blog was removed off of loose change's website this morning, but I'd still like the link to our forum and our fraternity's name removed from THIS site. As I've said, that link leads to a login page where registration is private.

I have updated the story and removed the link. On what basis should I delete your name? I am not aware of any expectations of privacy on the web where people are not allowed to mention the name of an organization. I believe in getting the facts straight, not in revising history.

Thanks for the prompt removal of the link, I appriciate it. Basically as long as it's pointed out that while some active members and alumni may support Loose Change, the fraternity and our alumni assosiation as a whole are not affiliated with, nor do we endorse Loose Change. That's basically all I wanted to straighten out.

Thanks
