Moonbat Congressional Candidate Update

With 73% of the precincts reporting, and Dave Weldon leading 56-44%, CNN has called the race for Weldon. Let the Diebold voting machines conspiracy theories begin.

Yup, I just checked all the local election websites. He's down 56-44, and the untallied votes are in the two counties that went most strongly for Weldon, his opponent. So stick a fork in him.

I'm surprised it was that close. If the GOP is struggling here, they're really in trouble.

Nutjob Bowman was probably getting a generic Democratic vote (Kerry got 43% in this District in '04). Still its a shame that this pathetic lunatic got that many votes, the people who voted for him need thier heads examined.

Bowman benefited from a confluence of anti-GOP sentiment. In addition to the national unpopularity of Bush and Congress, and the sixth-year malaise that historically goes against the sitting president's party, Bowman's district is right next to Mark Foley's district. The Foley backlash has hurt many other Republican candidates in south Florida. Bowman undoubtedly gained a point or two from that.

Remember, folks, don't cyberflirt with underage boys; you might inadvertently get a wackjob elected to Congress.
