Adri's Back!

The drama major from the University of Minnesota who compared the World Trade Center to Jenga in a memorable article, comes not to bury Rosie O'Donnell, but to praise her.

As if that wasn't provocative enough, "Tehran Rosie" (as she is now known to right-wing talking heads, in reference to Tokyo Rose, the famous Japanese propagandist from World War II) used that very same March 26 broadcast of "The View" to suggest that World Trade Center Building 7 was brought down by controlled demolition on September 11, 2001.

"I do believe that it defies physics … It is impossible for a building to fall the way it fell without explosives being involved," O'Donnell claimed, followed by cheers from the studio audience.

On March 13, O'Donnell used her blog to link and quote excerpts from WhatReallyHappened.com - a popular alternative media news aggregator and Web site.

As I've said before, the idea that Rosie is cribbing information from What Really Happened amuses me to no end; apparently she's unaware that most liberals consider that a Right-Wing Hate site. In fact, the posters over at Democratic Underground are prohibited from linking to articles posted there.

The article is basically factual, but this drew a horselaugh:

The movie, written and directed by 23-year-old film-school reject Dylan Avery of the town of Oneonta, N.Y., presents a comprehensive and painstakingly researched theory that the U.S. government planned and executed the attacks of September 11, 2001.

Painstakingly researched? Dylan cobbled together bits from about seven different conspiracy theories with no apparent independent research. He's already announced that he's throwing out the final 20 minutes or so of Version 2 (or Version 3, depending on who's counting). He acknowledged in a debate in December that his film does contain errors and conclusions which are not backed up by the facts.

Dylan doesn't even claim that Loose Change points the finger at the U.S. government. In fact, he's explicitly denied that it does, if I remember correctly.

He just takes the nebulous "just asking questions" route.

It's a depressing day when Rosie O'Donnell's views on physics and structural engineering are considered more valid than those of the hundreds of scientists who agree with the official story.

But whatever, enjoy your free speech you blockheads.

Can you source that besided DU? Oh, as far as that site goes, what group is the hate projecting itself on?

SD,

I couldn't agree with you more about Pat's reckless comments generalizing what "liberals believe" based on DU.

DU is fairly representative of the US Democrats. Sure, there are some who are more or less extreme, but DU is the median. Ofcourse, I wouldn't expect a bunch of 9/11 deniers to acknowledge that. You probably think that YOU are representative of the average Democrat.

Anyone trapped in the left vs right, Republican vs Democrat is missing vital IQ points. Reject ALL political affiliations; there is only two positions to take, the truth or the lies.

A viewpoint that somehow appears infinitely less persuasive from someone with a picture of Mahmoud Ahmedinejad as his user icon.

Yes, ofcourse, we'll reject reality and listen only to your words. Whatever you say Mr. Nazinyc, Sir.

Man, as a cult leader you'd be an abject failure. Face it, you're a follower, not a leader. You don't have the ability to instigate change, only to follow in the footsteps of more talented men.

You might want to take your own advice one of these days.
