They Are Off to a Good Start

The Loose Change boys have been bragging about the snazzy new computer graphics they are putting into Loose Change v 4.0. They have even put some clips into their new trailer, and made it the background for their forum. (click on pictures to expand them)

So I was looking at this, thinking, something just doesn't look right. It finally occured to me. Look at the engines, they hang down on these ridiculously long pylons so far you would need special landing gear to be able to keep them from hitting the ground. For comparison, here is a picture of a real Boeing 757-223

Undoubtedly they are going to use this CGI to "prove", that the plane could not have crashed like it did, because the engines would have big furrows in the ground.
Update: There is a photo out there of the actual plane, so it is not like they could not have found something to go off.
Update 2: Some insightful readers have pointed out that this is most likely caused by the perspective, and the fact that Hani Hanjour did not have the flaps down. I should have caught this, given the fact that several eyewitnesses to the crash specifically mentioned this.

Richard Benedetto -- driving on the Highway parallel to the Pentagon

I didn't see any flaps, it looked like the plane was just in normal flying mode but heading straight down. It was straight.

Albert Hemphill -- from office in Naval Annex with view toward east

It was "clean", in as much as, there were no flaps applied and no apparent landing gear deployed.

William Lagasse -- from Citgo gas station near Pentagon

The 757's flaps were not deployed and the landing gear was retracted.

Lincoln Liebner -- running toward a Pentagon entrance

"It was wheels up, flaps up, engines full throttle."

Phillip Thompson -- Sitting in traffic in I-395 HOV lane

But, strangely, the landing gear was up and the flaps weren't down.

My mistake. But once again this brings us to the point, why exactly are they going to all the trouble to create snazzy computer graphics which matches all of the eyewitness testimony, only to then claim that none of it every happened? Well, I guess we will find out if it ever hits the theaters.
