Yes, it is key to get at the under infrastructure of a building... that is, unless you are demolishing two 110-story skyscrapers, in which case you don't have to start with the under infrastructure.
UtterFail, chemical engineers are qualified to understand the laws of thermodynamics and Newtonian mechanics. And that's enough for them to point out the holes and the flaws in NIST's analyses and call for a new investigation.

Would you maintain that WTC7 was built in an unconventional way and that caused its collapse? If so, shouldn't its insurers have sued the building's engineers for incompetence?
Arcterus, if you would bother to read the OP you would see the point. Pat was implying that Asner was being irrational when he wasn't. What could a reported say? "That was controlled demolition"? No, they're not qualified. So if they see something that looks just like controlled demolition, and many experts have acknowledged that it did, they're going to say "almost as if" or "it resembles".
Pat--getting at the under infrastructure and starting with the under infrastructure are two different things. In fact, I consider one of the major mysteries of the collapses to be--why did the cores, after surviving the initial collapse of the outer floors, then fall straight down themselves?
They did not fall straight down, they toppled over.
After the first couple of minutes, I was going to start with how funny it was – the grand, uplifting music, or comparing the engineering feat of the pyramids and Eiffel Tower to box boy Gage and his ratbag assortment of pseudo-engineers.
But...the more I watched, the more I realised it was actually well done.
Yes, even if is an assortment of disinformation, misquoting and outright lies, to a newbie, this thing would raise serious concerns, as it seems the people doubtful of the official reports are reasonable, responsible people – 1,300 architects and engineers, fire-fighters, 9/11 family members, etc.
The comments from the people of AE911truth, for example, seem quite believable.

We all know that’s crap, but the important thing is this: it sounds believable to a newbie.
