Moron Bruno Bruhwiler

The folks at the Southern Poverty Law Center have some information about WAC-LA's leader. I know it's nowhere near as fascinating as iron microspheres, but it is amusing nonetheless:

Bruhwiler also appears to be a participant in so-called redemption practices, which are rife in the world of sovereign citizens. Proponents of this bizarre ideology argue that when the U.S. quit the gold standard in 1933, it pledged its citizens as collateral so it could borrow money based on their future earnings. Then, the theory goes, the government funded a secret “Treasury Direct Account” for each individual that it stocks with millions of dollars. Redemptionists have come up with a series of bizarre maneuvers that are meant to liberate this money from the government and have it paid to them personally. For most redemptionists, this involves, among many other incomprehensible steps, filing a “Uniform Commercial Code-1” document.

In February, Bruhwiler filed just such a form with California Secretary of State’s office. His UCC-1 filing says that his “one hundred billion United States silver dollars” have now been transferred to “Bruno Ernst Bruhwiler, a living man, secured party.”

Sounds like he's heading for Leo Wanta territory there. Hey, Bruno, check the flag in the courtroom for your trial. If it's got a gold fringe on it, you can tell the judge that you refuse to be tried in an admiralty court. Also, check to see if your name is in all-caps on the warrant. I hear lots of folks get off that way.

Bruno Update II--L.A.'s Dopest Attorney On the Case

Bruno Bruhwhiler, from the LA branch of the kooks, has an update on his terrorist threat trial:

We have some EXCELLENT NEWS to share!!! One of WeAreChangeLA’s most active and committed members, Laurie Pershall, recommended Harvard Law School graduate Allison Margolin, daughter of famed Bruce Margolin- author of the California Medical Marijuana Laws. Bruno met with Allison and her team and has retained her services. Allison comes from a family of progressive lawyers. She is ready to take this case through trial if necessary. She’s a winner and we are thrilled to have her.

Allison has her own blog here (last updated in 2007), where she bills herself as "LA's Dopest Attorney". It appears evident that she mostly handles pot possession cases.

On the financial front, it certainly appears that Bruno's "involuntary" facial expressions will turn out to be quite expensive:

Thank you for all of your support and for every financial contribution. Every dollar counts! At this point we do not have the donations needed to go to trial. All that has been Chipped In up to date has gone to retain attorneys and to pay filing fees and some of the bail. So far we have spent $19,200 plus, ($9,500 for the bail bonds [non-refundable], $500 for the continuance lawyer, $1,200 for the last Lawyer who didn’t work out, $7,500 to retain the new Defense Attorney, Allison Margolin, for pre trial, and $500 in filing fees and notary charges as well as the several hundred dollars that CHIP IN has taken for their cut). You all have donated over $11 Thousand Dollars through the “CHIP IN”!!! THANK YOU!!! We are still in the red and will need the projected $18,000 plus on the “CHIP IN” if we can avoid trial. If we go to trial the total costs to Free Bruno will be over $27 Thousand dollars.

More Details on Bruno Arrest

No surprise, it turns out there was more to the story than the WAC-jobs wanted us to know. Remember those "involuntary" facial expressions?

Bruno was making various facial expressions of displeasure at the judge and he was admonished that if he did not cease doing this then he would be asked to leave the court. Bruno acknowledged the communication from the judge but continued to show his displeasure with his facial expressions. At which time the judge repeated himself and had Bruno removed.

There were claims that he was tortured, which somehow didn't make it into the 9-11 Blogger post:

As a student of Tim Turner and UCC sovereignty teachings he refused to identify himself.
He was put into a cold room. So cold that he got hyperthermia and passed out! When he came to he was asked his name but he refused to answer. So he got the treatment two other times and then the third time he said that the name on his bracelet was Bruno. (Note, if he answers their question then he has contracted with them and is now subject to their law which does not recognize the sovereignty of the individual so this is why he was refusing to say his name)

Hey, Bruno, don't forget that if your name is in all caps on the indictment, you can have the charges thrown out! And check that flag in the courtroom for a gold fringe!

Bruno is one of the sanest, most active and effective 911 truthers out there and he needs our help.

That says less about Bruno than it does about the rest of the "Truthers".

Bruno Update

Bruno was on the Alex Jones show today to give us an update on his situation. He claims to be facing up to three years in the pokey for his antics in the courtroom. He says he's got a strong case due to all the witnesses, but Alex was not nearly as optimistic. Alex also did his usual routine about how the cops are a bunch of slavering idiots doing the will of their NWO masters. Aside from that, the segment amounted to little more than a "please send money" bit.

Bruno, The Terrorist

This is frigging hilarious:

WeAreChangeLA Organizer Faces Terrorism Charge WeAreChangeLA’s lead organizer Bruno Bruhwiler is being targeted as a terrorist threat.

How could this happen?

It all began when Bruno was sitting in the audience at a civil hearing for another WACLA member. The Judge literally did not like Bruno’s involuntary facial expressions, and ordered him out of the courtroom.

Sounds totally credible to me. Involuntary facial expressions? Make 'em all the time. And it's good that the judge didn't dislike them in some figurative sense.

Two felony resisting arrest charges were then tacked on, which means Bruno is charged with physically resisting the officers – twice? - though witnesses observed that Bruno did not ever resist the officers. The arresting supervising officer claimed that Bruno threatened to assassinate him, then the same officer ordered an underling to back up his claim as a false witness and charged Bruno with making a “terrorist” threat. After 911, legislation was passed making it very easy to charge ordinary citizens as “terrorists” for almost any reason.

And get this:

While in custody, at another location for incarceration, Bruno was asked by an officer if he was the lead organizer of WeAreChangeLA, and the officer asked with a snide tone if Bruno had a website, with other officers looking on. Either they did some quick research on him or they recognized Bruno from some other way, but they knew he was the lead organizer of WeAreChangeLA.

I'm going to guess that a bunch of WAC-jobs were calling the various police stations, giving out this very information.

Bob Kerrey Gets Truth-Squadded

Just keep in mind how long Jeremy goes on before actually getting to a "question". Hell, he's a minute and a half in and he's still rambling on about how JFK was going to deescalate the war in Vietnam. Of course, this is pure fantasyland; in fact, JFK increased the number of US troops from 800 to 16,500 in the final month before his assassination. Correction: This was the increase during the JFK administration.

There are two more parts to the video, and in the end the Troofers think they got him to admit a conspiracy that goes back over 30 years; of course sane people assume he's talking about folks like Zawahiri, not some murky CIA plot. I am pleased to hear the amusement in the crowd as Kerrey blows him off; clearly everybody there knew that a crackpot question was asked and got the kind of response it deserved.

What Must It Be Like to Be a "Truther"

Can you imagine the paranoia these guys have? A couple of rent-a-cops have weapons and he's convinced they're mercenaries who can kill us by (sic) their own discretion? The video also features Jeremy Rothe-Kushel, whom I exchanged a few emails with (and who I probably owe a response to) raging about Jerome Hauer, who was on the board of the company responsible for security at the WTC on 9-11. Of course, in the Troofers world this makes him guilty of being part of the 9-11 plot.
