More 9/11 Related Evidence Found

Well, obviously it was planted by the ISI, in cooperation with the Mossad, the CIA and the Illuminati.

SHERWANGAI, Pakistan — Pakistani forces pushing toward a lair of hard-core Taliban fighters found documents this week linked to a member of the Hamburg cell of Al Qaeda that is believed to have planned the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

In a small village in the dun-colored hills of South Waziristan, soldiers found a German passport belonging to Said Bahaji, a German citizen and associate of Mohammed Atta, the leader of the 9/11 hijackers.

The passport was issued in Hamburg in August 2, 2001 and was accompanied by a Pakistani visa dated August 3, 2001. The documents indicated that Mr. Bahaji landed in Karachi from Istanbul on Sept. 4, 2001.

The apparent presence of Mr. Bahaji in the tribal areas of Pakistan is a clear indication that members of the Qaeda network — including participants in the 9/11 plot — have taken refuge here, as American officials, like Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton on Thursday, have charged.

There was no indication that Mr. Bahaji had left Pakistan, authorities said.

OKC Troofer Killed In Shootout

Thanks to longtime reader Consdemo for pointing this one out in the comments.

A leader of a radical U.S.-based Islamic group who was killed in a shootout with federal agents near Detroit repeatedly told followers that the government was the enemy and that they must be willing to take on the FBI -- even if it meant death, authorities said.

Not sure if he's a 9-11 nutbar, but it would hardly be shocking:

The 43-page complaint described Abdullah as an extremist who believed the FBI bombed New York's World Trade Center in 1993 and an Oklahoma City federal building two years later. Abdullah beat children with sticks at his Detroit mosque, the complaint alleged, and was trained with his followers in the use of firearms, martial arts and swords.

Sounds like a real prince of a fellow.

The Sounds of Silence

Uhh, anyone remember that new Loose Change movie? Loose Change: Yet Another Rehash, or whatever its name was? Well if you haven't been paying much attention to it, you are not alone. Despite its $100 million budget, or whatever Dylan is claiming this week, it has caused less of a stir than the average cat playing a piano video on YouTube.

9/11 Truth of a Different Sort

I am not sure how I feel about this, since I don't think a memorial is really an appropriate place for a political statement, but I can sympathize with the guy wanting to preserve the reality of what really happened.

KENT, Conn. — Peter Gadiel wants everyone to remember his son, James, who was killed during the September 11 terrorist attacks.

And he also wants people to remember how he died: "Murdered by Muslim terrorists."

For Gadiel, any tribute to his son would be woefully incomplete without those words.

"I think it's important, because I think there's a nationwide effort to suppress the identity of the people who were involved in the attacks," Gadiel told Fox News.

Eight years ago, 23-year-old James Gadiel worked for Cantor Fitzgerald on the 103rd floor of the World Trade Center. He died when a hijacked plane crashed into the North Tower.

What Hit the Pentagon? Misinformation and its Effect on the Credibility of 9/11 Truth

Frank Legge (BSc, PhD)
flegge@iinet.net.au
21 October 2009

Version 6. Calculation errors in the previous version have been corrected. Version 5 included a table showing that a range of flight paths exist which would enable a Boeing 757 to hit the light poles and the Pentagon without experiencing excessive g-force. As some researchers have stated that this is impossible the issue of misinformation arises and is examined. Version 4 added the preface to clarify the purpose of the paper and to answer some unfounded criticisms. I am very grateful for the help provided. All significant alterations have been identified and discussed in footnotes.

I'll give him another week before I expect version 7.

Feith and Perle On Sibel Edmonds

Looks like they share my assessment of Nancy Drew:

Perle, today a fellow at the American Enterprise Institute and board member for or adviser to other think tanks, including the National Institute for Neareast Affairs and the Center for Security Policy, emphatically denied Edmonds’ claims in an interview with Military.com.

“This woman is a nutcase. Certifiable,” Perle said. “She makes wild accusations. She was fired from her job, and has been on a vendetta against … imagined demons ever since.”

Feith, in an email to Military.com, said: “What I’ve read on the Internet about Ms. Edmonds’s claims about me is wildly false and bizarre.”

Pacifica Nuttery Exposed by the Nation

Apparently the fruitcakes at the nuttiest radio network in America are pushing 9-11 crackpottery. The subject is Amy Goodman, who's supposedly gatekeeping the zanies:

No matter, the Governance Committee at Pacifica passed the resolution, a step taken to discover whether you-know-who has been funneling money to Goodman to cover up "the truth" about 9/11. "We'd like to know what kind of 9/11 coverage the Ford Foundation paid for," said Condon. "The whole issue of 9/11 and Amy Goodman has been ongoing for years and years and years."

I like the conclusion:

Instead of serving as a vibrant home for incisive programming that challenges the assumptions of mainstream debate, the network has fallen into the hands of sectarians and crackpots whose control over the Governance Committee may be strong but whose hold on reality appears tenuous.

Great Moments in Social Networking

After resisting for some time, I finally gave in to the protests of a friend of mine and signed up for the social networking site Facebook. Now since most people just send invites to whomever happens to be in their e-mail, I have discovered the awkward moment when you get a "friend" request from an ex, or someone who for one reason or another you no longer associate with, but Kevin Barrett sending me a request is a whole different area indeed. No offense Kev, but if there is someone I don't want following my daily activities, it is someone who promises to put anyone who disagrees with him up on the gallows.

The Conspiracy Expands

Every screenwriter who mentioned 911 (the emergency phone number) is now in on the plot. The radio industry is in on it; look the 9 is right next to the 11 on the AM dial! Jeebus, and I thought Killtown was crazy; Lucus needs to be taken away by the men with the butterfly nets.

Yet Moron Jonathan Elinoff

It becomes more obvious why Elinoff decided to break his "art students" story on Kevin "We should support the Taliban" Barrett's show. Of course, most of what Elinoff has to say has been published before; most notably by Christopher Ketcham in Counterpunch (reprinted here). What Elinoff is laboring mightily to do is to get us to connect the dots. Look, there was an arts project in the World Trade Center! Dot! Look there's an arts student mystery. Dot! Connect the dots! But there is zero indication that the Israeli arts students are connected in anyway to the (remember) Austrian and German artists known as Gelatin staying in the World Trade Center.

There's some good discussion of the claim that Serfati and others were renting an apartment close to where Mohamed Atta lived in Hollywood, Florida here. As it turns out:

As you can read below, the DEA picked up a group of Israelis for questioning on March 1, 2001, including Hanane Sarfati, 24 (also referred to as Hanan Serfaty in the DEA memo; the French report has yet another spelling), Eli Cohen, 23, and Oshirt Zaguri, 23. Cohen and Zaguri gave their addresses as apartments 207 and 4205 respectively in the building at 701 S. 21st Street. Apparently French intelligence has trouble understanding American address nomenclature. Anyway, two and a half months later, on May 13, Atta and Al-Shehi moved into their own rented apartment at 1818 Jackson Street, a half mile south west of the place Cohen and Zaguri had been staying at. (They apparently picked the place after a couple nights at the Bimini Motel Apartments, several kilometres east). There is no evidence the two pairs of Mediterranean tourists were ever renting their respective apartments at the same time: obviously spying on Atta when Atta was actually IN TOWN would have been too easy for these highly trained Mossad SpyKids (23? Come on...), so they decided to do their spying months before he even ARRIVED.

Truther Is the New Nigger

Holy smoke, I cannot believe this one myself, but two of the geese at Gage's Gaggle actually had the stones to write this. Talking about the National Geographic Special that aired in September, Dwain Deets and Gregg Roberts opine:

NGC actually used the term "truthers" to refer to the objectivists, a silly-sounding label used as shorthand within the community of 9/11 skeptics, but not one that they use when speaking to critics. The use of that insider label was one of the many appeals to emotion rather than reason used in the show. To help understand this, compare the use of the "N" word by African-Americans themselves, as opposed to its use by people who are not members of that group and instead are hostile toward its members.

Really, you cannot make up stuff this stupid.

Yet Another Dumb Troofer Idea

A couple of troofers are all excited over on 911 Blogger about an idea to get the braintrust at AE911 involved in a hypothetical court case concerning a building safety study by NIST.

Many of you may not have heard about the collapse of a tent-like structure used as a practice facility by the Dallas Cowboys. It happened earlier this year. Now NIST has assessed the collapse and credits a series of design failures. They have urged retrofit modifications immediately for all similar structures used elsewhere across the country.

Here is a link to the story in the Dallas Morning News:

http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/dn/latestnews/stories/100709...

I assume there will be lawsuits since one person has been paralyzed as a result of the collapse.

Would it be advantageous for AE 911 Truth to offer assistance to the defendants in those lawsuits? You could then speak to the credibility of NIST and illustrate their bogus report on what happened at the WTC. This could get some press and get the facts into the official record. I don't know if this would be advantageous or not, so I am throwing it out there for consideration by the group.

Uhh, OK, think about this. In order for this to be an advantage, they would have to take some sort of stand adversarial to that of NIST. The whole reason for being for AE911 is the belief that modern buildings can't collapse, even after planes crash into them, or they are set on fire for hours at a time. So what are they going to do now, argue that this building could not have collapsed without explosives? That it never could have collapsed in the first place?

Troofers Fret Over Billboard

Lucus points to this:

I wanted to bring this particular billboard back up to the spotlight since the date is just a few weeks away. Most of us know the elites have some sinister twisted way of projecting what they are going to do. The possibility can't be discounted here.

Notice how the billboard is making sure you notice that date because it's ripped off and on top of the ripped out headline.

Is there any war games, terror drills, or military exercises planned for that day that anyone knows of?

Of course he misses the obvious; November 9, 2009 is what, children? That's right 11-9-2009. And if you use Captain Eric May's numerology secrets, you can eliminate the two zeroes, and add the other two numbers together to come up with 11-9-11! 11111111!

Nuttiness aside, it's an advertisement for the website of the Buffalo Red Cross. So now the Red Cross is in on the plot?

Sweet Parody of the Troofers

It's here.

The official government story says there was no boy in that balloon. But a growing number of Americans are demanding the truth about what really happened on 10/15.

Best bit:

But I’ve watched enough Road Runner cartoons to know how a balloon behaves when punctured in flight, especially in the American West. A real balloon would’ve either zig-zagged quickly and crazily around, slamming into various rock outcroppings along the way, or simply fallen straight down like an anvil. So that begs the following question: this so-called “balloon” wasn’t even a balloon at all!

Great job! Hat Tip: JREF Forum member nicepants.

But Remember, They Aren't Blaming the Firefighters

It is offensive how the troofers keep on insisting the firefighters had inside information that World Trade Center 7 was supposedly being blown up, instead of just realizing the logic conclusion that they knew the building was in danger of collapsing as a result of the damage and fire. From the braintrust at 911 Blogger:

FDNY 9/11 Reports: WTC 7 'Collapse' Foreknowledge
These are quotes that reveal foreknowledge of the collapse of WTC 7- from FDNY reports in the 9/11 Commission records, in Box 18 of the Team 9 (aka Team 8)/New York City Series.

Even more disgusting is how they accuse the firefighters of being such cowards that they would cover up the death of over 300 of their brothers, because they might lose their pensions. Nevermind the fact that nobody has ever shown how they could even lose their pensions at all. From the comments on that post:

I know a lot of the firemen know a lot more. I am sure they were threatened with the loss of their jobs and pensions.I can't say as i blame them for keeping quite.

What, Me Worry?

NYC-CAN'T: Now We Must Educate the Sheeple

If there was ever a petition that died with a whimper and not a bang, it's NYC-CAN:

NYC CAN’s campaign was carefully orchestrated to engage voter support by presenting incontrovertible discrepancies to combat skepticism and create reasonable doubt. We countered objection with fact instead of theory, allowing individual deductive reasoning to poke its own holes in the 9/11 Commission’s story. By doing so we persuaded 80,000 New York City voters to listen, think and act.

Let me point out here that NYC-CAN'T, when asked to recheck their petitions came up with about 20,000 uncertified by their own tally out of 53,000 or so, so we can deducted another 10,000 more from the additional 27,000, which puts them at about 50,000 signatures.

Still, this is New York City, where something like 8 million people live. So even if we were generous and granted them the 80,000 valid signatures they don't have, it would still be about 1% of the city's population.

Lessons learned? With the experience gained in persuading 80,000 NYC voters to act, the strategy that will work has become ever more clear: a national public relations campaign to persuade the American public to rethink the bill of goods they were sold and now accept as bible truth. Public relations is a time-tested strategy that has been embraced across the board and through the ages; this proven methodology has been utilized to the advantage of the most progressive elements of society and embedded in the core strategy of every corporation in America. Why?

Yes, no kidding, they think they can sell 9-11 Troof like Madison Avenue sells life insurance. It's completely crackers of course, and it's not like the Troofers haven't tried marketing the nonsense themselves. This movement is a lot like Amway; everybody's convinced they're on the early legs of the pyramid and if they can only convince those doggone slow adopters, the world will be saved and they'll make a lot of money.

As with any marketing or sales effort or any successful social movement, one must engender trust before one seeks to close the sale. The problem inherent in our movement and its passionate base is the desire to close the sale without making the sale. We need to take a step back, recalibrate, redefine and reeducate. We need to employ persuasion, not pressure, with the right strategy and the right voice.

And who decides whose voice that is?

It's a rhetorical question BTW, although I assume the voice is Les Jamieson, but the post just blathers on and on and I lost interest. You know, I could do better than this, with similarly meaningless phrases about "we will build upon this foundation" and "thanks to our committed core of volunteers and donors."

The Next Steve Alten

Yet another Troofer novelist:

Sawyer said, “I absolutely, passionately believe that 9/11 was enabled by forces and interests high up in America-both government and commercial-people who knew it was in work could have prevented it, but decided instead that it offered an excuse for another war. Something upon which our entire economy and incredible prosperity has depended since World War II. Something that, as 2001 neared its end, it was time for once again.”

It's funny, but I don't remember the US being involved in a lot of wars from 1991-2000, a period of very strong economic growth. And give us a clue what you mean by "commercial-people"; Larry Silverstein?

The character of Adam seems to have been drawn from Sawyer's own attitudes in childhood, which he said “invariably caused me to question authority, to regard it with automatic skepticism or outright contempt.”

Most of us outgrow that phase.

He outlined the entire 9/11 scenario: future hijackers known to be taking flight training, supposedly not monitored; the lack of USAF fighter planes in the Northeast Corridor and anywhere near Washington, DC on that day; and the “confusion” in which long-standing, previously followed protocols about what should happen when airplanes are hijacked or even go off course, were ignored.

Sigh. I suppose I'll be hearing that crap about 61 intercepts on my deathbed.

Poker Player Has Nuts Cracked

I'm familiar with some of the top poker players in the country, but Jeff Madsen isn't one of the names I've heard, although apparently he's pretty high up there. And, I would guess, pretty high.

Hmm, what else? Oh yes, September 11th came and went, and people are still blinded to the obvious fact that this was an orchestrated event. This fact is so obvious and clear to so many people in the world that it is astounding to me that there is even still debate about whether it was or not. The only discussions should be about the specifics about how certain powers handled each part of this event, and where this false flag event is leading us as a people. It is scary but TPTB (the powers that be) are slowly working towards a "New World Order" as its been quoted... and it's difficult to know how as an individual to fight against the scary future of a one world oppressive government. The first step is realizing that things are not as they seem. For an interesting look at some history about bloodlines of power and the evolution of evil and those in power, check out this series of videos: Im not saying that everything is definitely true or false, but you have to take in this as a look at what the reality of history could possibly be... because the history told to us is never exact and is often far from the truth:

Yes, 9-11 was orchestrated by KSM and Mohamed Atta, but the rest is basic Alex Jones fruitcakery. And, as usual, if you're a nut about one thing, you're a nut about another:

Another quick philosophical topic, I was dreaming last night and was having a dream about my sister. I haven't seen her or talked to her in a while cause I've been away from Los Angeles for a while. When I woke up I realized I really missed her and went to my phone to text her, where I saw that she had literally just sent me a text message. Most people would look at these kinds of things as coincidences, but I know that they are certainly not... everyone has thoughts that come before a certain event that are eerily connected. Your friend calls you right when you thing of them.

The truth is, these things happen because the "mind's eye" is focused enough on the other person to send them a sort of subconcious message. The two people are in a sense meeting up in a seperate form of conciousness, and this triggers them to connect to each other in our current realm of conciousness.

Sure it does, Jeff. He recommends Bloodlines of Power, this crazy film:

How much dope do you have to smoke before that starts making sense? The girl narrating that is familiar to me; I think she was with Ann Arbor 9-11 Troof a few years ago and did one of the "Zionists did 9-11 films".

In Defense of David Ray Griffin

An interesting little troofer war is going on at 911 Blogger, where Jon Gold is criticizing David Ray Griffin for citing Christopher Bollyn, known anti-Semitic kook, in his writings. Now in this case I have to agree with Gold, and point out that he is one of the few people in the movement who is actually concerned with the fruits and nutcases in it. I just disagree with Gold in that if you remove the fruits and nutcases, you don't have much left.

In one case where I actually have to defend Griffin, in a sort of way, is where Gold states this:

Do you think David Ray Griffin honestly doesn't know what Christopher Bollyn is about? Focusing entirely on Israel and the nasty Zionists, etc...? Do you think DRG honestly doesn't know? I think he's even been approached about sourcing Bollyn before by other people.

Knowing as much as I do about Griffin's writings, and how poorly researched and sourced they are, I think it is entirely possible that Griffin honestly does not know who most of his sources are. This after all is the guy after all who insisted for years that there were multiple people who saw and heard a missile hit the Pentagon, based on sources that he had never actually checked.

Still Moron NYC-CAN'T

LashL, the Goddess of Legaltainment at the JREF forums reveals that the people behind the effort knew it was doomed to failure well before the final decision by the judge:

I guess this would be a good time to add that NYCCANT did actually consult a real election lawyer (an experienced and well respected one) after they submitted their horrifically doomed-to-fail petition, but the real lawyer told them that their petition could not and would not possibly succeed.

So, NYCCANT carried on with its doomed-to-fail petition and its doomed-to-fail non-practicing lawyer, Dennis Whatsisname, instead of retaining the real lawyer, and instead of telling its membership that the petition could not possibly succeed.

NYCCANT chose to fleece as many naive truthers as possible for a few more dollars before it went down in flames, as it knew would happen.

Richard Gage in Boston

JREF forum member Mr Herbert went and shares his (painful) experience:

The Art Students Story

Of course it starts with a tiny morsel of truth, which he surrounds with a gigantic, oozing mass of TROOF. Here's the real story from the New York Times:

In short, the book belies the extravagance of the feat it seems to document: the covert installation, and brief use, of a balcony on the 91st floor of the World Trade Center, 1,100 feet above the earth. Eight photographs -- some grainy, all taken from a great distance -- depict one tower's vast eastern facade, marred by a tiny molelike growth: a lone figure dressed in a white jacket, standing in a lectern-size box.

Elinoff states that they illegally lived in the towers; I don't know whether that's true. The New York Times says that they were legally there:

In the spring of 2000, Gelatin and 14 other artists shared free studio space on the 91st floor, where the group's artmaking appeared to consist of building a clubhouse out of cardboard boxes.

However, most office buildings do not allow people to "live" there 24/7, so in terms of living there he may be right, but Elinoff is definitely concealing the fact that they were in the building legally.

As to the claim that Austrian and German art students were somehow tied to the Mossad, it's laughable. That Elinoff claims he has "exclusive" information is even funnier; exclusive with the exception of the New York Times, I suppose.

At any rate, they were out of the towers by August of 2001, when the story was written in the Times. I suppose the Troofers will push the theory that these were the guys who brought the super-duper nanothermite into the building.

Great! Now just tell me....
where is the hanger with all the parts that they are trying to assemble to find out exactly what happened to the aircraft? Don't they do that with all airliner accidents?

What happened to it? Some terrorists flew it into a f&$*ing building. Do you really need to piece together the aircraft to figure that out?

NYC-CAN'T

Well, Troofers, your pie-in-the-face ending has arrived. Despite the greatest election lawyer in the history of the universe, despite 80,000 signatures, despite that massive march through New York City:

You can see Judge Lerner's order here (PDF file). Key bit:

While petitioner's counsel argues that the severability provision of paragraph 20 of the Petition allows the court to strike any provisions thereof that are unconstitutional or invalid, the extent of the impropriety of the proposal, as correctly set forth by the referee, would result in a substantial evisceration of the Petition, and even if legally permissable, would be inappropriate as inconsistent with the law sought by the signatories to the Petition.

Not surprisingly, the Troofers did not have a backup plan:

The deadline for inclusion on the ballot falls just before the election, making it possible to appeal Judge Lehner’s decision. NYC CAN is weighing all options and will make an announcement early next week on this issue, as well as on how it will be moving forward on other fronts. Regardless of the outcome in court, the quest for answers continues full throttle. This fight is only the beginning.

Translation: Send more money!

Hat Tip to LashL, the Goddess of Legaltainment at the JREF forum.

Update: Jon Gold threatens to throw it all away:

I may be participating in this. It all depends on whether or not I decide to give up my job, my apt, etc... If you don't care about those things, then I recommend you participate.

Under "this" he links to Cindy Sheehan's blog, where she calls for volunteers:

We are calling for 5000 people to commit to come to this Nation’s Capitol to participate in daily civil resistance to stop “business as usual,” because “business as usual” in this town is so corrupt and disordered.

We are not calling for this commitment for a day, a week, or a month. We are not even interested in making symbolic gestures. We are calling for this commitment until our demands of: All troops and para-military mercenaries, are ordered out of Iraq and Afghanistan, the drone bombings in the tribal regions of Af-Pak are discontinued and we get about the business of healing, reconciliation and REPARATIONS.

However, Jon will have to find another way to waste his time, because Cindy's project is not exactly imminent:

Hopefully we can begin Peace of the Action by the 7th anniversary of the invasion of Iraq on March 19th.

Article on Alex Jones

Over at the New Republic.

But it’s really only since Barack Obama’s election, when Jones turned the full force of his apocalyptic imagination toward the new president, that his ideas have found purchase in the conservative mainstream. Several Republican officeholders, from state representatives to congressmen, have appeared on his program to trade wild theories about Obama. Glenn Beck has brought his fear-mongering about the New World Order to network television, and an online Fox News show collaborated with him on a joint broadcast.

To be sure, sundry leftists, as well as some Hollywood types, appear on Jones’s show, as well. Dennis Kucinich and Noam Chomsky have both been on. It’s where actor Charlie Sheen goes to spout his 9/11 Truth theories. But left-wing craziness tends to stay sequestered on the fringes of politics, while the right-wing fringe increasingly is the Republican mainstream. According to a recent Public Policy Polling survey, only 37 percent of Republicans believe that Obama was born in the United States. Jones has become politically salient because much of the right is as unhinged as he is.

I think she's right about how unhinged parts of the right are currently (the Birther nonsense is every bit as stupid as 9-11 nuttery), but I doubt that Alex himself will get much purchase because his past is too well known. Judge Andrew Napolitano deserves to get smacked down for referring to "the great Alex Jones" on the simulcast he did with the Profit of Doom, and any GOP politicos should get the same treatment, although I note that despite the comment about several Republican officeholders appearing on his show, the big name (aside from Ron Paul) that she mentions is Texas GOP congressman Louie Gohmert.

She doesn't mention some of the most offensive stuff that Jones believes; on one show he talked about how all the Mexicans in the US are just waiting for the orders to kill all us gringos.

A Very Exclusive Club

The 9-11 Troofers of San Diego City College:

A new club on campus addresses controversy with hard evidence; and the 9/11 Truth Club of San Diego City College uses science as the weapon of choice.
"The goal of this club is to educate people on campus and to motivate them to spread the word about 9/11," Steve Fahrney, club president said.

How exclusive is it?

Meeting times and places are "to be determined" by Fahrney. At the onset of club rush week, which ended Sept. 11, there were no confirmed members of the new club, aside from Fahrney. A roster of about 25 interested students rounded off the tally of potential club members.

Interesting Article on JREF

Posted by the BBC:

Enter the sceptics with the gathering of The Amazing Meeting (TAM) in London, the first of the conferences outside the US. A fundraising offshoot of the non-profit James Randi Educational Foundation (JREF), TAM London saw scientists, writers and comedians target conspiracy theories - and their close cousins pseudoscience and medical quackery - in front of an audience loosely allied by their desire for more rational, critical thinking.

Interesting article, only mildly related to the 9-11 CTs.

Stockholm Syndrome?

How else to explain this result, as reported by the aptly-named Laurel Bunk at Gage's Gaggle:

Twenty-one people believed fire alone brought down the buildings, and 41 were unsure [before Gage's presentation]. Only two people still believed the fire hypothesis, and 15 remained unsure [after Gage's speech]. While nearly one-third of the audience began the evening skeptical of AE911Truth's conclusion, more than 90% were convinced beyond a doubt that the buildings were brought down by controlled demolition, once they heard and saw even this abbreviated version of the evidence.

Note that 2/3rds of the crowd was nutter even before Gage opened his pie-hole. So you're sitting there amid a bunch of fruitloops who are oooohing and aaaahing at every word Gage disgorges. And let's face it, you've got to be a little on the kook side to even come out to hear him speak. Note also this result from Gage's speech at a mosque:

After the presentation, Mr. Gage reported that audience members came up to him with tears in their eyes, grateful that the unwarranted persecution of Muslims around the world had been revealed, and with fresh hope that this injustice might be at least greatly reduced. It was an emotionally charged, intense experience, unlike any other presentation Mr. Gage has done. He made a second appearance at the Alaman Mosque on Friday, September 11th, in a command repeat presentation to a new audience.

Simply disgusting. Note as well that Gage's presentation is solely on controlled demolition; he says nothing about the 19 hijackers, who were, well, Muslims, right? So how does his spiel get them off the hook?

Welcome to 2009

As Pat mentioned earlier, David Ray Griffin and friends are trying to free Mounir El Motassadeq from prison in Germany. Now they have started a website to support this effort. If the site is any indication, their legal case won't go far. One example is their complete misunderstanding of that whole flow of time thing.

The FBI, itself, declares on its website that "attempts to confirm the true identities of these [hijackers] are still under way".

Of course if you actually look at the FBI website they link to, you will quickly discover:

Press Release
For Immediate Release
September 27, 2001

Washington D.C.
FBI National Press Office
(202) 324-3691

This is like linking to an old White House press release from 1999 and declaring that Bill Clinton is still president.

Richard Gage Grants Moral Absolution

Now I am hardly anti-Muslim by any means, I served in Bosnia where the Muslims were essentially our allies, it was the Orthodox Serbs who annoyed me, but the idea of conspiracy theory liars granting some sort of excuse to Muslims to pretend that their co-religionists did not carry out some rather heinous acts, and therefore absolving them of any association, strikes me as rather offensive. Sort of like the Holocaust deniers who tell the Germans that it wasn't really their fault, or the Civil War revisionists who insist that slavery had nothing to do with it. Here Richard Gage speaks in a New Jersey mosque, and tells them that Muslims had nothing to do with 9/11. A message that they of course wanted to hear.

"The holy Quran tells us that 'God guides us to the truth.' My commitment to you tonight is to speak that truth, and to leave you with extremely valuable science-based information. It's the responsibility of us, the non-Muslim American citizens, to take the greater risks and to counter the lies that we've highlighted tonight in the official conspiracy theory surrounding this major catalyzing event that has led to even greater atrocities in the Muslim world. On behalf of non-Muslim Americans, I would like to personally apologize for not having yet accomplished enough toward these ends. Speaking on behalf of the 5,000 members of AE911Truth, we promise to do our very best to bring out the truth. Muslims of the world deserve an apology from the real 9/11 perpetrators, their supporters, and non-Muslims who refuse to even look at this scientific evidence. We wish that it was safer for Muslims to be publicly active, but we understand that this is an unfair request — given the post 9/11 political environment. If together, we are successful, you and your Muslim brothers and sisters around the world will no longer have to continually look over your shoulders."

And a Liberal Nutter

I'll confess, I didn't know there were liberal conspiracy theorists about Oklahoma City; but there are apparently an infinite variety of nuts in the bowl:

The problem is….our government was involved in both of these attacks in one way or another. Dick Cheney on the morning of 9/11/01 created a Shadow Government and said that they (the Bush Regime) had to go to the ‘dark side’. Well, I believe this very violent Shadow Government has been in force for years behind the scenes. In fact, I believe that al-Qaida is the base (al-Qaida means “The Base”) of the Bush Family & Friends, Inc. and is their personal death squad to use to get whatever they want. It’s very interesting that the Bush Regime did away with the Able Danger investigation/program. Why? To this day, we don’t know a damn new thing about al-Qaida either. Again, why? Is it because the players of both are on the payrolls of very important known individuals? Hey, could be. Until proven otherwise, I will continue to believe we’ve been duped for years now.

I think she will go on being duped for years to come. Looks like she's a Trig Truther as well, which proves my old theory that conspiracy theories are like potato chips; you can't eat just one.

Of course, if anybody wants to learn something new about al Qaeda, I certainly suggest books like The Looming Tower, Perfect Soldiers, etc. You won't find it in a David Ray Griffin book.

Carl Cameron, Troofer?

I've always been a little suspicious of him since his whole bit on the Israeli Art Students. Not that it's not a legit story, but everybody I know that pimps it is pretty much a tinfoil hatter. And to listen to some of the stuff he comes up with here, while he's apparently unaware of being taped is pretty strong confirmation that he's a conspiracy fruitcake.

Unfortunately for the Minnesota WAC crew, the money quote comes when they did not have Cameron in the picture, so I can't be 100% sure that Carl himself said:

"It’s really hard to make the case that the buildings just imploded without some sort of an accelerant..."

An accelerant? Arson investigators would note that there was indeed an accelerant in the WTC; it was called jet fuel.

The Minnesota Changers have their transcript here. More pull quotes:

Cameron: In addition to what I reported, we knew the day after 9/11 that the Russians had warned us. The Russians had warned us of the attacks in September. The French and the British had warned us of hijacking planes. The Israelis and the Germans hadn’t, had warned us of a plane attack on the World Trade Center—all in the preceding eleven months. Now, you know, ninety nine times out of a hundred these warnings mean absolutely nothing. But these were like six, specific, generalized things, and they didn’t check.

I'd like to see some documentation of warning of a plane attack on the WTC, Carl. At a bare minimum he comes off as more Troofer-friendly than Van Jones.
