Barrett on CNN

I'm not thrilled at the ending, where they claim that the university is "standing up for the right to teach controversial ideas." As I have said elsewhere, 1+1=7 is controversial, too.

Kevin Barrett needs to be beaten to a pulp.

With the exception of those who actually commit horrific acts of violence, I always thought trial lawyers to be the absolute scum of the Earth.

These conspiracy wackos are giving trial lawyers a run for their money in my book.

I do not condone violence, but I would say that Barrett, through losing his position at the school, should be taught a lesson.

If i recall, his course was not placed on this upcoming semesters corriculum (read this somewhere), and so it will not be an issue from now on? Am I miss informed?

In 200 years the history books will have him in stature alongside the founding fathers. Same with alex jones.

Pat:

Could being the optional word. Unlikely I'd say.

PD:

The vast majority of the american public believes the official account of 9/11, so you are calling them terrorist sympathizers as well. Nice to see what you think of the american public.

As for a flame war, that would only happen if I felt the opinion was from someone that meant something (and PD does not), and was derogatory in nature (which his comments were). Since both criteria are not filled, I will not engage in such.

10 years from now, very few people will remember Alex Jones, Kevin Barret, and other nuts. They will still proclaim that the government is taking away your rights, even though they use those same exact rights to preach on government tax dollars, and will be viewed alongside with the Holocaust Deniers and Moon Land hoaxers.

pdo - here is my source for his claim: Ground Zero had less then 1000 people on 9/11/06. If 80% of Americans believed 9/11 was an inside job, it would've been a massive protest not only at GZ, but the White House.

The fact is, you are the minority. A very lazy minority that is afraid to do anything about their so-called "evidence".

I still await the day Alex Jones brings this stuff to court.

At 26 November, 2006 10:37, Blogger The Artistic Macrophage said...

Right now I do not have the desire to show you a reference. Now I am sure you will say my claim is baseless, and that is fine...go ahead.

If you honestly believe that the majority of americans DO NOT believe that 19 Hijackers working for AL-Qaeda committed the 9/11 attacks, than you are a bigger fool than I thought you were (which is significant in itself).

The CTs simultaneously claim that the majority of Americans believe in a government conspiracy, and that the media won't cover it because it is too controversial.

Huh?

Yet, they can only get 25 members of their most prominent group to even vote on an on-line poll.

WTF?!?!

not highly socialized to the mass media ways of talking about things

You seem to be saying that only stupid people would not understand
"ways of talking about things"

i'd like to point out that people are not entirely opposed to the idea that the government might have done 9/11

So only stupid people who cannot understand, ""ways of talking about things" think that, "the government might have done 9/11".

I completely agree with your circular reasoning that those in the Tin Foil Hat Nutbar Douchebag community are dumb as rocks.

I am sure you could trounce me in terms of info on her, but unless she comes forward and admits to being cohersed in to denying a relationship with Atta, i consider all she said on the matter to be untrustworthy.

If you want to debate the issue, JREF has a number of qualified "Keller" experts, as I am sure you are aware.

I would say the only problem I have with this from Markyx is that you give AJ and the gang maybe a little too much credit. When you really think about it, nobody gives a shit about Alex Jones. I doubt even half the people in Austin have even heard of him. And outside of Texas, I'm pretty sure just about nobody has heard of him, because nobody cares about him and the bullshit he spews out. But if P'doh would like to think that he'll be in the history books, I guess we can just let him. The jokes on him anyway.

Hmmm. I'm drawing a blank on the winners.

TAM has no basis whatsoever for his statement. The public do believe the government are lying.

In fact the chairman of the 911 omission has admitted norad lied to them. So now 100 per cent of the population know it isnt all true

because keller is the only source for much information about atta

what is corroborated by others, however, is the main point in dispute

that is, whether keller knew atta in the first place in order to know all this information for which she is the only source

i've also talked elsewhere about how information sourced to keller has been corroborated in court, for example bohringer's green card being obtained in a lottery

Nobody ever said it is all true. You come up with a 600 page report on anything and there will be problems with it. That doesn't mean they think Dick Cheney did it.

At 27 November, 2006 08:47, Blogger ConsDemo said...

Bubbers, depending on how one qualifies the Denier candidates (they claimed some who gave no hint on sharing their beliefs), one, Robert Bowman on Florida got 44% of the vote. The key to his "success" was getting the Democratic nomination in his district, so he got a lot of generic Democratic voters and plus his Republican opponent was radical bible thumper David Weldon, some of the newspapers that endorsed Weldon made it clear they were picking him only because they considered Bowman too ridiculous.

I wrote her off as a complete fraud
...despite all of the contradictory evidence behind Atta and Keller's relationship. That is exactly how the OS community works. If it doesn't fit their theory, IGNORE IT! Besides Keller has already admitted that the FBI has harrased and intimidated her along with other eyewitnesses to their relationship. But nevermind, ignore it.

You just have to love that reasoning. Hell that is the same type of thought process governing our country today.

Great way of minimizing the fact that representatives of a government orgazniation lied in testimony to the 9/11 Commissions. Not just a problem with the report, kid, but the problem of lying about your testimony for whatever reason. Considering the almost complete lack of air cover in America on 9/11, one might be inclined to ask why NORAD lied to the 9/11 commission.

At 27 November, 2006 18:11, Blogger The Artistic Macrophage said...

ah PD;

I agree. I am one of those who believes the USG has lied, IN SOME WAY, about the events of 9/11.

What I said was that the majority of americans believe the official account. I guess I should have been clearer.

THE VAST MAJORITY OF THE AMERICAN PUBLIC BELIEVE THAT THE 9/11 ATTACKS WERE CARRIED OUT BY AL-QAEDA, VIA 19 ARAB HIJACKERS, WHO SMASHED THEIR HIJACKED PLANES INTO THE WTCS, THE PENTAGON, AND CRASHED ONE IN SHANKSVILLE.

Great way to ignore the fact that it was the Commission which uncovered and reported the lies, and that the dishonesty rather doesn't help 9/11 deniers. Ironically this sort of thing is patently grounds for legitimate complaint against NORAD and the Pentagon but you jobbers are part of the problem, aiding the liars and incompetent boobs by gleefully strutting around saying crazy wild things and minimising the importance and relevence of the 9/11 Commission.

Oh really? I would say that it's perfectly reasonable to say that if some 60-80% of Americans believe the CT, that at least one if not all of the denier candidates would win, don't you? That's just common sense. So actually, it has a lot more to do with it than you would like to think. And nice statistic there Condesmo. The fact that all of the papers chose not to endorse Bowman because of his crazy beliefs in favor of some Bible thumper just goes to show that nobody wants to be associated with these clowns.

But you want to twist to justify the importance of 9/11 Commish? Try reading the entire report, Rev, and then you can defend them.
