Dylan Mentioned In Article on Most Annoying Conservatives

Over at Right Wing News:

3) Jerome Corsi: Nobody has worked harder to convince people that the completely moronic North American conspiracy theory is real than the right's version of Dylan Avery, kooky Jerome Corsi.

Indeed, this North American Union crap is a steaming pile of nothing.

And yes, BG, there's not much else to write about this morning.

Update: Moron Corsi and his North American Union fantasy.

I'm not sure how you can call the NA Union a steaming pile of crap, considering the contruction of such a Union is well underway and is sure to be completed within the next 5-10 years, if not sooner.. Examine what has happened to the U.S. manufacturing base as a result of NAFTA and you can see totally why some will be upset with the NA Union deal.

Sponsored by the Council on Foreign Relations in association with the Canadian Council of Chief Executives and the Consejo Mexicano de Asuntos Internacionales.

North America is vulnerable on several fronts: the region faces terrorist and criminal security threats, increased economic competition from abroad, and uneven economic development at home. In response to these challenges, a trinational, Independent Task Force on the Future of North America has developed a roadmap to promote North American security and advance the well-being of citizens of all three countries.

When the leaders of Canada, Mexico, and the United States met in Texas recently they underscored the deep ties and shared principles of the three countries. The Council-sponsored Task Force applauds the announced “Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America,” but proposes a more ambitious vision of a new community by 2010 and specific recommendations on how to achieve it.

So this must be the most official steaming pile of crap North America has ever seen.

Yeah BG can you believe that crap. Someone once said America would never be defeated by an outside enemy, but fall from within.

Time to work until your 100.

Swing, you can take my word for it. In 10 years, if I am still posting on this shit, and if my country, Canada, is no longer in existence, but rather a part of a larger country called the North American Union, than I will give you $100.

If however, by NA union, you simply mean that all of NA has a common currency etc...than that is not that far fetched.

So it is relative. If you really think the USA/Canada/Mexico are going to all become one common country, then that is what I was proposing a wager on.

As for the highway, enlighten me oh wise one.

The currency thing won't happen either. About the only thing that these idiots got right is that a big highway is being built. Ofcourse, they probably think the highway is there for faster transportation of civilians to the Haliburton work camps.

This wager stuff is between you and SD.

For my part, I don't claim to have a crystal ball. However, if I were going to put in a bet, it would be along the lines of the NA Union resembling the EU.

TAM-perhaps there is some confusion. Do I think we will be intergrated into one massive country? No. You stated you think the NAUnion will not take place within 10 years. NAUnion doesn't mean loss of a country's independence.

What I was referring to:

When the Union is signed into law:

1. Individual countries will lose some of their national soverignty through the enactment of laws. At this point this Union push has been done without Congressiional approval. Citizens of the Union, much like the European Union will be subject to the laws and legistlation of the supra-national governing body instead of their national government. You can already see this taking place inregards to UN environmental laws and their impact on the US.

2. The highway, although just a 'road' is sure to increase illegal immigration, increase drug trafficing and crime, an increase in accidents as Mexican drivers are not subject to the same laws and requirements as U.S. drivers. The highway itself will be built and ran by a Spanish company instead of an American company. I wonder how much money that company funneled to the GOP?

3. We have already seen the impact NAFTA has had on the manufacturing base of the United States. This will only make it easier to accomplish and eventually will include all of the America's.

3. As far as my FIAT currency being replaced with something else? I wouldn't be suprised but no predictions as of yet, although it seems like the next step. Of course I'm judging this based upon the progress and development of the European Union.

4. Unrestricted migration of peoples- that is certainly a given. I will let the indiviudal judge the merit of that point.

Ron Paul on the issues: By now many Texans have heard about the proposed 'NAFTA Superhighway,' which is also referred to as the trans-Texas corridor," he said in a statement. "What you may not know is the extent to which plans for such a superhighway are moving forward without congressional oversight or media attention." "The proposed highway is part of a broader plan advanced by a quasi-government organization called the 'Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America,' or SPP," he explains. "The SPP was first launched in 2005 by the heads of state of Canada, Mexico, and the United States at a summit in Waco."

No treaties were involved, and Congress was not included in discussions or plans, he says.

"Instead, the SPP is an unholy alliance of foreign consortiums and officials from several governments," according to Paul. "One principal player is a Spanish construction company, which plans to build the highway and operate it as a toll road. But don't be fooled: The superhighway proposal is not the result of free market demand, but rather an extension of government-managed trade schemes like NAFTA that benefit politically connected interests."

Paul says, however, the real issue raised by the superhighway plan and the SPP is national sovereignty.

"Once again, decisions that affect millions of Americans are not being made by those Americans themselves, or even by their elected representatives in Congress," says Paul. "Instead, a handful of elites use their government connections to bypass national legislatures and ignore our Constitution – which expressly grants Congress the sole authority to regulate international trade." -Source-World Net Daily

So TAM, inconclusion I hope your right.
