Solid Article by a Former CT

(Note: A few commenters pointed out that the writer wasn't a real 9-11 Denier, so I changed the title slightly).

On what happens if the 9-11 Denial Movement is wrong:

The movement’s supporters ask us to think about what it would mean if their claims of a conspiracy were true. This is fair enough, but they rarely ask what it would mean if their claims are wrong. They probably don’t like to think about what the answer would be. If their claims are unfounded, this would mean that a large segment of the Bush administration’s critics, most of them on the left, have wasted a lot of time and energy chasing their own tails instead of really challenging the regime. It would mean that they had severely compromised their own credibility, and, in the eyes of the public, the credibility of the entire anti-war movement for decades to come. It would mean that the 9-11 truth movement has been the anti-war movement’s Trojan Horse.

He notes how easily many of the movements claims have been debunked:

I could go on, but I think you get my point. These are supposedly two of the most damning pieces of evidence the movement can muster, and they blow apart like dandelion fluff in a strong breeze. Maybe I haven’t looked hard enough, but so far I haven’t found any argument put forward by the movement that stands up to sustained scrutiny.

It says it right in the article:

A Pentagon spokesman said the hearings were closed to prevent classified information from leaking.

Evidence that may be brought forth for the US to make its case might be sensitive in nature. If it's open to the public there is no way to prevent that information from getting out. This information could be about security weaknesses or methods terrorists used to operate.

I don't agree that it needs to be classified otherwise how are we supposed to improve security if we don't learn the methods that terrorists use to operate?

Who is "we"? Are you in charge of US security? Do you need access to classified intelligence gathering methods to do your job properly?

One of the conspiracy liars' favorite myths was completely destroyed the other day. Ed Haas showed that the guy who looks exactly like Osama bin Laden on the "confession" video is, in fact, bin Laden.

We should call this episode, The Silence of the Loons.

Sure, why not let the general public know the exact procedures the military uses to track terrorist so a bunch of arm chair experts can check it for effectiveness and accuracy.

OH WAIT!!! That would not work cause the terrorist would know to. Forget it.

DUH!

I have no doubt that if they could significantly advance their goals by staging a false flag operation that would kill 3,000 people on American soil and create massive property damage, they wouldn’t hesitate to do so.

This is a pretty baseless assertion on the author's part. However, he does deserve credit for distinguishing from what he would like to believe is true and what evidence shows to be true. In that sense, he is head and shoulders above the twoofers.

A real denier is some who sees that their claim are wrong but continues to spout them.

Exactly like the deniers on here stating that explosives devices weren't used on 9/11. Thanks CFH, you described virtually everyone who still thinks explosive devices weren't used on 9/11, including denying over 30 people who experienced the result of those devices in the sublevel of the towers.

Please provide a link of your 30 people AND the corroboration of physical evidence of these explosive devices.

well you see the quantum variations in the sub-structure of the steel metaphased when combined with a space-laser causing vibrations to travel up (albeit very slowly) from the basement explosions, terminating with a release of force at the exact spot where the airplanes hit. You Official Storyers are just, like, dumb and stuff coz you think there were no bombs when it's OBVIOES from youtube what happened.

The brain-dead Swing Dumpster is still trying to figure out why ALL demolition experts think that the collapses of WTC 1 and 2 look nothing like controlled demolitions.

When he concocts an explanation, he can explain why those demolition experts contend that conspiracy liars haven't the slightest idea of what thermite does.

And then he can move on to the terribly inconvenient seismic data compiled by the Lamont-Doherty laboratories.
