Sorry Dylan, They Aren't On Your Side
When the South Park episode came out mocking 9/11 conspiracy theorists, Dylan Avery bizarrely thought that the creators of the show were really on their side. Now Penn Jillette, who famously skewered the conspiracy theorists on his own Showtime series, discusses the issue with South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker.
The part on the conspiracy theorists starts about 11 minutes in. Sorry Dylan, they really do think you are retards.

It is a shame really. You have people like Swing and Russ who I would say are far from "retards", yet they lumped into it by SP from the retarded company they keep, and the retarded ideas they spue.

I respectfully disagree, TAM. While Russ is a notch above the rest of his ilk, SD is among the lowest.
No one who denies the holocaust deserves even the slightest respect. "Retard" isn't strong enough for Swing.

TAM, I'm not impressed with Swing at all, but Russ is clearly an intelligent guy. It's not completely about retarded versus bright; there's a correlation there certainly, but there are some very smart truthers. Greg Jenkins, for example.
I think part of it has to do with just a general susceptibility to conspiracy theories in general, and that may vary based on age, intelligence and your personal life history.
TAM, I have to give you a lot of credit, taking the time to rebut each of Swing's incoherent, scramble-brained posts. Russ on the other hand, although I totally disagree with most of his views, I find his posts are clearly stated; he doesn't try to muddy the waters.
Like hey man, I mean they support us in a very unique way to make it look like a rejection that really isn't a rejection. The kind that nobody has seen before. That way they can get away with supporting us.

I think most of what Swing says is crap, from a content and pov perspective, but he is more articulate than alot of the other twoofers, and he provides for a more entertaining arguement.
