NY Times Blogger Covers Rosie and WTC 7

And actually does a pretty good job of it. He notes the diesel fuel tanks, and quotes PM:

"Steel melts at about 2,750 degrees Fahrenheit—but it loses strength at temperatures as low as 400 F. When temperatures break 1000 degrees F, steel loses nearly 50 percent of its strength."

The 400 degrees figure is not useful, and just represents an attempted rowback for PM on Elisabeth Hasselbeck's claim that it weakened at 270 degrees. The important thing is the 50% loss of strength at 1000 degrees and the 90% loss at 1800 degrees.

Still a solid post. Lots of comments, anybody want to tally up the Truther ratio?
