I could make the same but due to our ethics we at "Kong for Truth" get paid in bananas.

What's total revenue for A&E911T?

Plus, where'd you get this from? It's not up at Guidestar yet.

Bolo, total revenues are $434,000. I got it via email from one of my sources. It was an inside job! ;)

OK, so Gage's salary is 18.66% of revenues. Total salaries bump that up over 20% easy, although no one else is making enough to need to report it.

I saw a clip of the expenses over at JREF, so I know that the $434K revenue is over $90K more than 2009. And they kept expense under revenues raised and added $18K to their $12K nest egg, giving them $30K in the bank at the start of 2011.

So what we have here is an advocacy group set up to keep Richard Gage spreading the good word at a nice yearly salary and a nice travel allowance. So far it's successful at covering expenses and it's building a rainy day fund. If this was a subject you thought it vital to get out there and you were cool with Gage making close to 20% of funds raised, then you could look at these numbers and say AE911Truth was being a good steward with the cash. But the salaries are exorbitant when you look at money coming in the door of a non-profit, so you'd have to be a true believer in the cause to justify that salary. And of course, if you find the cause stupid as I and most people here do, it's a shocking waste of money, grifter gotta grift, and all that.

2011 will be the peak of this particular grift, though. It's the big ten-year anniversary of the attacks, and yet I just haven't not seen the attention necessary to have increased these fundraising numbers substanitally. Certainly not another roughly 30% bump like from 2009 to 2010. And 2012 will be the year the rainy day fund gets spent down. If Gage wants to keep this as a great vacation pad, he needs to get back to architecting and give up the salary. He could probably keep the world travel up for another five or six years at this rate.

Maybe. On the other hand, Jim Garrison made a career out of JFK Truth long after he'd been exposed as a fruitcake. This stuff does not follow the standard pattern of declining popularity, it just gets passed down to the next generation of wackos.
