Jason Bermas Breaks Major National Scoop!
Well, it looks like Bermas has hit the big time, with a huge story that will no doubt rock Washington, D.C., for the next several months.
My co-blogger James pointed to this radio show that Loosers Jason and Korey Rowe hosted the other day. At first they didn't do badly, although Korey let loose with an s-bomb about the laptop which Dylan used to create the first version. Yeah, there are snafus galore, but that's to be expected from newbies.
But Jason gets a little ahead of himself about the 47:10 mark of the first hour:
"People like Dick Cheney still get over 100 million dollars a year from companies like Halliburton, you know, that get all these, you know, no-bid contracts, you know, sole source contracts with Lynne Cheney."
Wow this is really superb research by Bermas. No doubt he will be forthcoming with a little something called evidence? It's funny because Cheney has severed all ties with Halliburton, to the point of donating deferred income from his days as CEO of Halliburton to charity. In fact, people were griping earlier this year that he donated too much money, taking advantage of a law that allowed people to donate extra to charity because of Katrina. But the amount was nowhere near $100 million; as best as I can figure Cheney received $8.8 million in income in 2005 and donated $6.8 million of that to charity.
Here's a post from a liberal blogger claiming that Cheney profited personally from Halliburton's performance. Note the update at the bottom:
UPDATE: I followed the link to FactCheck.org provided below. While their work has not always been flawless, their analysis of Cheney's financial interests regarding Halliburton seems precise and thorough. I am therefore willing to withdraw my statement that Cheney was lying and will benefit personally from Halliburton's financial performance.
But Bermas has found the key--they paid Lynne Cheney off! No wonder nobody caught on before!
BTW, as James indicated this is a rare hour of radio, in that the ads are probably more interesting than the show itself, and that's not a knock on Bermas, but a reflection of how absolutely off the scale the ads are on this show. "If you've got bread, you'll never have to stand in a breadline!" Wow, call it PRN for Paranoia Radio Network.

well for starters, the "weedjuice" add...the background music is an Enya song...are they aloud to play that as part of an add...I mean does this mean Enya supports Weedjuice?

OMG "Rumsfeld disease"...ROFLMAO.
Oh yeah, I remember being a bit surprised by that when I heard it, but forgot about by the time I got around to making a post. Cheney still had a bunch of Halliburton stock options when he became vice president, so he contractually obligated himself to give them all to charity when they vested.
He also had some deferred compensation as CEO, but he bought an insurance policy against it.
Long story short, it made no difference to him financially whether Halliburton cleaned up or went bankrupt.
I guess Bermas flunked highschool economics too.

Are they allowed to play that as part of an ad?
Yes, as long as the station paid for the rights to broadcast the song. If they have -- which most radio stations do via a blanket license with one or more of the music licensing groups -- they can use the song however they want.

PROOF gov will stage an event to go to war with a country, for whatever reason!
People can argue the specifics all day, especially about 911, but bottom line is that our gov is criminal (legitimate gov gone, overrun with private interest/bankers).
I myself don't fully know what happened. All we know is that some of the "terrorist" on the fbi list are aive and the others were trained at us military bases. I live in al and one was trained in Montgomery, maxwell air force base, I drove over myself and talked with the instructor.
Why don't you look at what Rumsfeld did to food market and human health with aspartame. All studies agree it is similar to an electro chemical in your brain and slowly over 25-30 years it will short out your brain giving you alzheimer's. This report sums how aspartame is made ("literally ecoli fecal matter") YUMMMM
These ppl you see are LIARS, PUPPETS, and, FRONT MEN. They are on a different morality level than you and I, do not think these things are impossible. This is high tech tyranny, known as the matrix basically. We are in it, follow the white rabbit out!
