Profiles in 9/11 Denier Courage
Dylan Avery, on the recent news that Holocaust Denier Eric D. Williams had stepped down from the 9/11 Accountability Conference:
We were going to attend anyway, but this certainly makes things alot easier. Now we don't have to release a disclaimer. We've made too many promises to back out of this conference.

We need to make the term "9/11 denier" on par with "holocaust denier".
It seems to turn them off.
Oh I already find them to intellectually be on the level of Holocaust deniers, though they're not as morally repugnant.

I suppose you could say that if you measure repugnancy in terms of lives lost. In truth, I see no distinction, both Holocaust Deniers and 9/11 CTers equally dishonest and ill-intentioned.

I suppose you could say that if you measure repugnancy in terms of lives lost. In truth, I see no distinction, both Holocaust Deniers and 9/11 CTers equally dishonest and ill-intentioned.
While 9/11 was an awful event (probably the single most horrendous event in Amerian history), the Holocaust makes practically every other tragedy pale in comparison.
While both make me sick to my stomach, I'd get much more satisfaction from punching out a Holocaust denier than a 9/11 denier.
Chances are, if you punch a holocaust denier in the teeth, you're also punching a 9-11 denier as well. I don't think there's been a holocaust denier yet who hasn't also had similarly repugnant views on 9-11.
As to wether 9-11 deniers are equivelant to Holocaust deniers, I think for that we need to look no further than OBL's first video taped confession wherein he said "Allah has commanded me to fight until none but muslims are left."
In Al-Queadas world, there are three types of people; muslim, non-muslim and those who aren't muslim enough. OBL wants to kill everyone from columns B and C.
OBL and the rest of the islamo-fascists are every bit as evil as the Nazis. They lack only the means, not the will, to commit evil on the scale of Hitler and his cronies.

I wonder what Dylan believes now, though? A lot of his recent communications seem to suggest he's growing tired of 9/11 denial, yet if we're going by that leaked info on what Loose Change Final Cut contains, he's gone off the deep end and started believing everything Alex Jones tells him. In that context, I suppose his relaxed attitude towards Holocaust deniers doesn't surprise me; but it does make me curious as to what he means when he's going on about how "we were just kids" when they did Loose Change. Does he worry that the Denial Movement is now too cranky, or does he think it's not cranky enough?
