TEHRAN — Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has written to UN chief Ban Ki-moon, asking him to launch an investigation into the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States, news reports said on Monday.
"The minimum expectation from your excellency is to set up an independent and trusted fact-finding group to comprehensively investigate the real factors behind September 11," Ahmadinejad said in the text of the letter carried by official news agencies.
They did not say when the letter was sent.

A cease fire is not the same as articles of surrender or a peace treaty. Technically the United States is still at war with China and North Korea as that war ended not in a peace treaty nor surrender, but a cease-fire agreement.
Every time Iraq fires at coalition aircraft enforcing the No-Fly Zone they were in violation of the cease-fire agreement and we had the option of continuing the war at any point. So technically the war with Iraq was legal.

Remember the building's steel was rated for two hours against fire, but the fires burned for over 7 hours.
Scenario [2]: With debris impact damage from the towers.
On 11 September 2001, WTC 7 suffered extensive damage to the South-side of the building and the fires raged for over 7 hours. An entire 15-story section of the lower-South face of the building was scooped out by debris falling from the North Tower. This caused the building to lean and sway, according to FDNY personnel. In fact, FDNY fire damage experts were convinced by approximately 2:00PM that day the building would collapse.
