The idiot Niels Harrit lost his lawsuit:
Harrit had sued Soren Villemoes and editor Anne Knudsen for libel after the Weekend newspaper had brought a commentary written by Villemoes who said Niels Harrit was "an idiot".
But Niels Harrit has not been upheld. Copenhagen City Court today announces the reporter that Sean Villemoes and Anne Knudsen has been acquitted.
Better still, the idiot Harrit was ordered to pay court costs of 15,000 Kroner. Each Kroner is worth about 18 cents, so that's the equivalent of about $2,700.

Defamation laws in Europe come from a different tradition than ours do. In the UK, for instance, truth is not necessarily a defense.
That's why Der Spiegel was careful to frame their criticism of Willie Rodriguez the way they did. They said that his hero story was kind of like trying to pass off a $1 bill as a $20 bill, but they were careful not to call him a liar or a fraud. Instead they suggested that maybe he was crazy enough to believe his own bullshit.
I don't have to tiptoe around like the Germans do. Since Willie is a public figure, I can express my opinions about him freely. And truth is a defense. Since I have proven that Willie is a liar and a fraud and a con artist, I have nothing to fear.
