Is it Just Me...

Or does it seem kind of creepy when a 52 year old man refers to himself as an "Eagle Scout"?

Becker, 52, is the founder of "9/11 Truth Now," an independent grassroots group demanding an independent criminal investigation into 9/11.

"I'm open-minded but I'm also skeptical — I'm not a conspiracy theorist," said the married father of two. "I have a family. I have my own business. I'm an Eagle Scout.

"But 9/11 raised so many questions that have never been answered by our government," he added. "I don't know what happened. But I do know we need to find out."

It's definitely something that no adult should never brag about. It's a childhood accomplishment, and doesn't impress anyone once you get over the age of 17. Any adult who uses it as evidence of their greatness is betraying a lack of real accomplishment in life.

The same applies to IQ and SAT scores, by the way.

I think he's using the "Eagle Scout" claim to establish that he's not a nut. My guess is it's BS, too.

Like what exactly? "Asking questions" is just a euphemism for "I really think the government did it but I need to look skeptical."

Can I still brag about my GMAT score? ;-)

Exactly. For example, I think our government should owe up to the Battle of New Orleans in 1815. That was so a conspiracy to crush the British after WE HAD SIGNED THE TREATY OF GHENT!

Yeah! Who buys that 'slow methods of communication' line the government gives us? Why didn't jackson just check his email?!!!

Haha, it'd be the funniest thing on the planet if they had finally gotten to the stage of faking qualifications like being an eagle scout

They can't explain their whak theories and the the investigation did not go the way they wanted so now they claim all they want is an independent investigation.
I wonder who they could get that is more qualified than those who did the first? They do not have the ability to understand the first so how could they understand another. Maybe AJ and his band of bafoons could give them what they want?
Now it's tempting to sigh and say, okay, let's have another investigation. But you know what the problem is with that? It's that no investigation will be accepted by the Truthers that doesn't conclude that the WTC was brought down by controlled demolition by Bushitler and his cronies.

Who would they get to do the investigations that are more qualified than those who did the first? An economist? A philosopher or perhaps a cell phone engineer? Maybe the HR lady could give us a technical explanation.

If you're still in college, or still applying for something where your GMAT score is relevant, yes. If you've been out of college and running a business for ten years, no.

Hey, you asked. :)

As a policy we do not delete comments based solely on their viewpoint, just looking at previous comments will tell you that, but if you post profane and insulting comments solely for the purpose of getting your comment deleted, then big surprise, you run the risk of getting it deleted.

Our tolerance for your idiocy does not endow you with the right to be offensive and insulting.

My first guess, that the moron who calls himself "political piracy" was a rationalist satirizing the tinfoil-hat brigade, appears wrong. The guy is a genuine loon. Now, can anyone figure out what his obsession with the Foley scandal has to do with 9/11 conspiracy fantasies?

Then you should have tried that fortress of right wing bias, CNN, which mentioned it.

But it does for Alex I guess. It seems you tolerate anything as long as they support the OS on this blog.
