Another Member of the Conspiracy

That's what the commenters at 9-11 Blogger are saying about structural engineer Ron Hamburger, who gave a presentation on the collapse of the WTC buildings.

The guy who introduced Ronald Hamburger appeared to have questions of his own and said that it is their mission to look at all sides of an issue. (Coming up, they will have a talk about whether the story of Jesus preceeded the birth of Jesus) The tone was set, so we all gave the speaker our respectful attention. He said he was glad to be here. Or at least he was for now. He made a point of telling us that he does not work for the government. Yeah right.

Convincing argument there from Randy, who made the post. I'm always swayed by the "Yeah, right" debate technique, although it's a little more persuasive in person when you can roll your eyes at the same time you say it.

Alot of it was pretty technical and dry, and I won't be able to relate that too well. And alot that we have all heard before. I think I'm versed just well enough on the technical issues that, combined with my gut feeling, I can usually tell in which direction the truth lies.

Of course, his gut feeling seems to lead him astray here:

Andrea asked if it was a pancake, why didn't it look like a stack of pancakes. I think a couple times he used the stock answer that the WTC towers were unlike any other buildings. He touched on Bldg. 7 and said that uncontrolled fires had burned all day and that a couple core columns were severely damaged and then gave a detailed analyses, and I thought that was all pretty lame.

Because, you know, unless he says something different than the "official" story, it's going to be lame in Randy's mind.

Hmm,

This "Randy" guy sounds a lot like BG and many other resident nutters.

The only rebuttals they have to any facts is "Yeah, Right" or "I don't think so" or "Uh Uh".

Dont you know the entire "truth" movement is based around a gut feeling of "something is not right here." How can you argue with that...lol

Yeah, TAM, most of the Deniers say they knew right away.

Yup. Conspiracy theory is more of a religion than a science. People start with the desired belief, and tailor their real-world experiences to fit it.

Remember that the liars DID know right away. They knew that an unprovoked attack on the U.S. was a conceptual impossibility for them. They knew immediately that they would move heaven and earth to stand reality on its head. They live in a dream from which no facts can ever awaken them.

Ahh, a confirmation of what we've probably all known to be true: Truthers™ think doing actual work is lame.

I mean, really... Why waste all that time studying, doing research, and thinking, when you can just stare at your navel and wait for your gut to rumble out "Bush did 9/11"?

Can you guys view 911blogger? I got booted for questioning the prevailing view (prevailing idiocy, if you don't accept the conspiracy theory, you are "disappeared"). Have you all avoided the pleasure of posting an dissenting comment or have you found a way around their censors?

Remember, a full camp is a happy camp!

Did I say happy camps? I meant death camps. No wait, I really did mean happy camps.
