Can Sheen Come Back from Loose Change?

Since O'Reilly raises the point (over at 9-11 Blogger they're claiming that it was a threat) here's a little topic for discussion. My take? A lot of it depends on Loose Change. If it is retooled (and I don't really believe that they're just going to have Chuckles redo the voice-over for the latest version) significantly, the question is where they will come down on the bigger picture. They've already said they're dropping the morphing of the phone calls and the Cleveland Airport Mystery. But those were the two most forcefully stated parts in the original picture. Are they going to be reduced to a Jack Webb film (just asking questions, Ma'am)? Are they going to conclude "negligence"? If that's the case, Sheen will probably come out of it okay. But the more the film alleges MIHOP, the worse he will be viewed.

At any rate, it gives us all the more reason to root against Mark Cuban's Dallas Mavericks in the NBA this year!

In the end, that's all that matters.

Gooooo Lakers!

James is in China studying how to implement capitalism while crushing human rights.
I might suggest studying facism while saving money on airfare and not financially supporting a communist regime that has a dismal record of human rights abuses.

Conspiracy theorist already hate Posner cause of his book on the JFK assassination called Case Closed.

And what is more disturbing is these 911 kooks give ammunition to a pinhead gasbag like O'Rilley.

You have the "love it or leave it" "Bush said it, I believe it, and that's that" Conservative knuckle draggers, on one side and the "it' all a big plot" " don't repress me with the facts" loony left on the other.

Aw, see, and here I was about to congratulate him for saying something bad about a country other than the United States. ;)

I can't hate on the people who have been suckered into this. Not everyone has the time to research this like we do. But I think people in the public eye have a special responsibility to find out the truth before opening their mouth. Some nutcase like McVeigh will try to kill someone some day because people like Rosie jumped to conclusions.

This gets frustrating. We don't have a radio station and fanatics like they do. We need a group to e-mail or fax these people our web sites like they have. We need someone who knows how to create videos like they do. The thing is people only get motivated by a crisis and they have a manufactured one.

I don't see much a threat, except the hope that Sheen's acting career tanks, although given his career seems limited to comedy (and between comedy and a true documentary, Loose Change comes far closer to the former) I'm not sure it will. However, even if it did, what do Deniers expect for narrating this America-hating tripe, hugs and kisses?

Charlie Sheen...well he was good in...well I liked him in...

Well does it really matter if he does this LC narration...I don't think so.

As for Rosie, well nothing new, nothing unexpected.

I can't wait for LC:FC to come out...The repercussion of its main stream release will be the final blow to the truth lunacy...

remember you heard it here.

TAM:)

These idiots have no idea of the backlash that will occur if LCFC is ever released. I feel it will be a career ender for anyone who puts their fingerprints on it. I have my doubts if it will ever make a major release, because the negative pre-publicity will be so great.

Mark Cuban's excuses to O'Really don't hold much water. Why subsidize this shit if you don't agree with it. The only thing stupider than a twoofer is twoofer who tries to hide his views.

I'd wouldn't be so sure about the demise of fuckface Sheen's career, although it would be deserved. He "exposed" himself last year and it had no discernable effect.

I think Sheen's troofer-allegiance was big news on the interwebs, but not so much in real life. I hadn't seen print news on it until he was linked with narrating the Final Cut. We'll see what it doesto his career; more broadly (and importantly) I can't shake the feeling that LCFC will be a five-minute wonder; easily impressed people will rave about it for a few months, most of the rest of the world will roll their eyes, and then it'll be absorbed into the void of popular culture and life will continue to roll on as normal. I mean, even Avery admits his evidence isn't very good, so why the hell should anyone pay money to see this not-very-good evidence? Especially when it's available for free on the internet...

The press conferences should be a laugh, at least.

Or will it galvanise people to take appropriate action to get a real investigation of 9/11 started without limiting the investigative bodies powers and funds.
Let's hope so.
