Begging the Question
Here's another one of those dopey articles that claims that 9-11 Conspiracy Theorists aren't kooks:
When issues that make people squirm are brought to the fore, debate is hastily labeled conspiracy theorizing and those engaging in that debate are considered foolish fanatics. This is poisonous to the free flow of ideas and, ultimately, the quest for a truthful and complete account of history. For scholars to come to any sound conclusion surrounding important historical events, any reasonable debate should be addressed fairly.
This is not to say that the academic community should labor to dispel the suggestions of outright lunatics. The existence of the holocaust is not an important research topic, but proving that Lee Harvey Oswald killed JFK certainly is.
And of course, we can tell the suggestions of outright lunatics and foolish fanatics from those of legitimate researchers, how? Because the latter have put together grainy videos with a hip-hop soundtrack?

I just saw the movie "Idiocracy" and all I could think of was 911 Truth. If the film is correct then the truther movement will blossom.
What we need to do is go to a 911 Truth rallye and hand out condoms.
No need, it's not like 9/11 Deniers communicate with the opposite sex, unless they have money in their hand.
So markyx, do you think truthers have the skills to make money? I don't think Mickey D's pays much more then minimum.
Some of 'em get others of 'em to buy DVDs, so there's that.
So basically it's perfectly reasonable to question any established historical event so long as it isn't the holocaust. Glad that's cleared up.
The existence of the holocaust is not an important research topic, but proving that Lee Harvey Oswald killed JFK certainly is.
To me thinking anyone but Oswald shot Kennedy is nearly akin to denying the Holocaust. It's been proved time and time again. It doesn't matter how many people question it (somewhere between 40-60 percent of Americans question evolution, including about one third of degreed Americans), that doesn't mean it now becomes a legitimate topic for "research".
