Idiotic Loose Change Forum Post of the Day

This one reveals the problems that younger people have with understanding Baby Boomer cultural references, and just about had me rolling on the floor.

Huckabee Says, "PAUL IS DEAD"--JUST RELEASED ON CNN WHEN PLAYING HIS CHRISTMAS ADD-- sick bastard !

I viewed the ad brifely, did he actually say: Ron Paul is dead, meaning he's going to be assassinated, like rumors I've been hearing, or was it indirect, or just a figure of speech.

Would like to find out exactly what he meant.

Okay, kiddies, here's the answer. Huckabee was responding to criticism of his "Christmas" ad, in which many people claim that a bookshelf in the background was actually a sneaky, subliminal cross. In a joke that everybody who lived through the 1960s would get, Huckabee said, "If you play the ad backwards, it says "Paul is dead, Paul is dead."

He is not referring to Ron Paul, he's referring to the late 1960s' rumor that Paul McCartney was dead. This was a red-hot item back then, sparked by some over-medicated people listening a tad too closely to the music. The idea was that John Lennon had placed clues to McCartney's death in some Beatles' songs; one song, when played backwards, supposedly said "Paul is dead, miss him, miss him."

Idiotic Loose Change Post of the Day... err Year?

It appears to just be copied from another looney anti-Semitic website, but this post (aside from the really bad Russian) is in Bill Deagle territory for crazy.

Denver International Airport has a 88.3 square mile Deep Underground Military Base underneath it. In other words this base is over 22 miles in diameter. This base goes down over 8 levels. Loose Change: The Final Hour

The final insult didn't get any better after the first hour. It was much more interesting to watch the finally of The Next Iron Chef on the Food Network. As I mentioned previously, Loose Change is so watered down that they refuse to take a stand on anything, it is "Just Asking Questions" taken to extreme.

The second hour basically kicks off with a review of the collapse of the World Trade Centers. Now Dylan actually admits to fires and damage to building 7, after years of denying it. The argument basically comes down the fact that a lot of people heard things go boom, and other than those 3 buildings, no other damaged buildings fell down. This argument is completely idiotic, due to the obvious fact that if one of those buildings, say building 6, had suffered a complete collapse, they would merely add that to the list and continue. "Well except for those 4 buildings, no others collapsed..." Once again no falsification is needed.

They have a huge section on the environmental conditions at Ground Zero, an actual legitimate issue, which I believe they abuse, but it really has nothing to do with the rest of the movie. It is just an attempt to be able to frame themselves as caring for the first responders, and does not advance their thesis, what little there is of it, one bit.

Just like the Pentagon section, the United 93 section is mind-numbing in its contradictions. They show all of the evidence that the plane crashed there, and then act like it didn't. Or more specifically they imply it was shot down, never explaining how that is a more likely event, or why that would somehow prove a goverment conspiracy. Bizarrely they complain about the lack of large bits of plane lying above the ground, and suggest this supports their claim the plane was shot down. They then show a CGI clip showing the plane being blown from the sky, complete with large chunks of plane falling slowly to the ground, a depiction completely contradicting their theory, what little of it there is.

I am sure there is more I could go on about, but this movie was so uneventful, so far from the history changing cinema that it was hyped up to be, that I honestly can't remember much of it, it left so little of an impression on me. Maybe I am just jaded from following this crap for a year and a half?

Stupid Loose Change Forum Post of the Day

I was tempted to call it the stupid post of the month, but these guys never fail to live down below my expectations.

I've had occasional precognitive dreams throughout my life. A few nights ago I dreamed I was about 50-60 miles outside of a big city on the plains, looking at three mushroom clouds over that city. It could have been Dallas. I am not sure what city it was, but it was where you can see a long ways off because there are no forests and it's mostly flat. The clouds were not from H-bombs, they were too small, they had to be A-bombs. Of course they wouldn't have needed three H-bombs to destroy whatever city it was.

I am just now catching up on recent events. I was at the beach with the family for the weekend, so I haven't been posting. Many thanks to Pat for keeping up his prodigious work and keeping you all informed. I was reading through the idiocy over at the Loose Change Forum and came across these gems for you entertainment.

First, from a thread, rather optimistically titled, "The Bbc Hit Piece Was A Good Thing, For the 9/11 Truth Movement":

It was sloppy, it was unfair, it was baised, it was incorrect at times, but overall I think the BBC Hit Piece was a boost for our movement.

Many people in the UK have never even heard of Loose Change or Alex Jones or even the idea that some people don't buy the official story.

Sure, some will buy right into the movie's premise, that ALL conspiracy theories are wrong, and the official story must be the correct one. But MANY, especially those who are skeptical of the mainstream media anyway, will probably get online and start researching these things for themselves.

This is the same hilarious spin they put on the South Park episode. Yeah, OK, they spend the entire time saying you are idiots, but hey, all publicity is good publicity! Sorry guys, we are not laughing with you, we are laughing at you.

The second one is from a thread Dylan Avery started on a video clip of Mark Roberts AKA "Gravy" talking with Dan Wallace. Apparently Mark is a real jerk because he asked Dan whether he actually knows what is in the NIST report. One poster hilariously commented:
