Brian Good Chickens Out On Debate With Willie Rodriguez

It was only two weeks ago that Brian Good issued this challenge:

Willie doesn't have the guts to debate me--not here, not in person, not anywhere on the internet, and not on Carol's program. That's because he knows better than anyone that he's a liar and a fraud.

As I wrote last week, Willie offered to debate Brian right here at Screw Loose Change (allegedly part of the internet the last time I checked). And suddenly Brian started making clucking noises and pecking at the ground. I guess we all know who's the liar and the fraud, eh?

Brian's most disgusting trick has been to request that the debate take place on Carol Brouillet's radio show. Brian wrote:

I offered a debate taking place on Carol's radio program. The reason for this is that Willie lies, and he hides behind Carol's skirts, and he would surely raise untrue ad hominem attacks on me with no regard for the potential damage to Carol. So she needs to have edit power over the debate.

Of course, Carol wants nothing to do with Brian, who exhibited typical stalker behavior by claiming that she was having sex with everybody but him. Here's a quote from an email she wrote:

Sadly, Brian is totally obsessed with attacking Kevin Barrett and William (and indirectly- me). It started when he came to the erroneous conclusion that I was in love with Kevin and had a sexual affair with him (and possibly others- including John Wright- he even insinuated that William shared my bed when William was out for the event we did in 2007). He blames William and Barrett for ending our friendship- when his mistrust of me and Brian's bad judgement and jealous attacks of Kevin and William were the main catalysts for my cutting all contact with him.

When caught on this, Brian shifted to demanding a debate on Visibility 911. Willie contacted Michael Wolsey, who hosts that program and the response was pretty simple. "We'd love to have you on the show, Willie, but why would we include Brian? He's a nobody."

Which is probably the response we all should have. Brian's certainly given us some amusement over the years, with his rakeonrake and meatball on a fork meanderings, but in the end he's just a footsoldier in the idiot brigade.

It kind of reminds me of Sibel Edmonds' demand that she get live airtime on a major network to tell us all that she knows; as you can imagine the networks have laughed at that suggestion. Of course, Brian Good is 1/1000000th as important as Sibel, so he can't even get on a conspiracy theory podcast.

Screw Loose Change to Host Debate Between Brian Good and Willie Rodriguez

Brian wrote in the post on Steven Jones' earthquake machines:

Somebody must have informed W-Rod of Brian's challenge because today I received an email from Willie offering to debate Brian live, right here on Screw Loose Change. Obviously we have to work out the details, but I am sure that Brian will agree to the debate in principle, given what he wrote on that thread.

In related news, Jones is not backing away from his latest research. In a post over at Flogger on Jesse's new infatuation with space beams, Jones writes:

Those who go with wild theories such as no-planes-hit-the-Towers and space-beam knocked the Towers and WTC7 down (both promoted by Fetzer/Wood) OR mini-nuke destroyed the Towers. Destruction starts at the top, since the energy-beam is from space -- totally ignoring facts and publications to the contrary. No experiments. But entertaining. They fight against the science group, too.

On Coast-to-coast radio, Judy Wood said that WTC 7 was "dustified" -- what a load of bull manure, flying totally in the face of facts that the rubble piled rather neatly on the WTC 7 footprint -- Observed! She also argued that the falling buildings could have produced the observed thermitic material, from iron-dustified- turns to rust on the way down, combining with aluminum from the building. Unbelievable crap.

But he got some pushback:

Earthquake inducing devices Prof. Jones? Sounds like a wild unsupported theory to me that will certainly do a good job of making us sound and look crazy.

Jones replied:

The evidence supporting the existence of Earthquake inducing devices is considerable and growing, along with statements by Sec'y of Defense Cohen (and Z. Brzezinski) of their existence.

You would do well to attend my talk, or get a copy of the DVD of it. After you have seen the hard evidence presented, you may wish to withdraw your statement that this view is "unsupported."

However -- I hasten to add that this is not something that I can do direct experiments on. This is not on a par, in this sense, with my 9/11 research. I have to wait for the grid-patterns and cluster-patterns to appear where there are no known earthquake faults, and gather and analyze the data. This I have done.

Fascinating CBS Footage from 9-11

We can see the smoke pouring out of WTC-7 during some early footage, and the building collapses starting around 1:50 (when the penthouse disappears). Note in particular that although the woman is clearly frightened when the building collapses, there are no sounds of ear-splitting explosions prior to the collapse, as happens in controlled demolitions.

Around 20:00 in, there is some very scary footage of somebody walking around after the South Tower collapsed, but before the fall of the North Tower. Starting around 31:00 in, one of the CBS reporters and his cameraman go up close and personal to WTC-7; it's quite gripping footage. I had seen the part where the guy talks about this being as close as he's ever come to a war zone, but not the bit before with the views of WTC-7 as the flames roar.

And who's that who pops up at 43:54? Why, it's Brian Good's bete noir, Willie Rodriguez. For those who missed it, Brian commented in the last post:

Maybe Willie evacuated Felipe David (and maybe not) but I'd hardly call that heroic. Then he went into a burning building. Big deal--the fire was 90 floors above, and everybody knows modern buildings don't fall from fire. Not one person will verify his claim that he climbed to the 39th floor opening doors. David Lim is named in Willie's account six times at least, and Willie is named not once in Lim's account.

By Willie's account, as soon as he learned there was any danger at all, he abandoned his quest to rescue his friends at Windows on the World and he took his allegedly-life-saving "Key of Hope" with him and went to evacuate one man on the 27th floor.
If his claim that he saved hundreds of lives by opening doors up to 39 was correct, then by turning back he was abandoning hundreds of people to die. He covers this over by claiming that floors 65 to 43 fell down so they were already dead. It's total baloney. Hundreds of people did not die on floors 65 to 43.

But as you can hear, Willie's story was the same that day. He mentions Lim by name, and talks about a collapse of floor 65. You know what this makes me think of? Way back when, there was a History Channel documentary on the Troofers where a college professor remarked that they want to remake the story so that they're the heroes. Brian Good would have saved everybody in Windows on the World had he been there. And if he'd been at the Pentagon he would have shot down AA77 before it crashed.

But as it is, he can only be a hero on the internet by denying the heroism of others.

Update: Brian tries to rescue his point in the comments (ignoring his being corrected on prior mistakes):

Pat, Willie went into a burning building when the fire was 90 floors away. The only thing that makes his action heroic is if you believe his claims that there were bombs going off--and there's no reason to believe it. As soon as he understood that there was actual danger to himself, he started to leave--and lied about his reason for leaving, claiming a 22-story collapse that never happened.

But what's this:

Lim:
"I literally had to kick him out. This guy wanted to stay--"

Of course, Brian Good, the real hero janitor of 9-11 would not have submitted to being kicked out. He would have informed Lim that there was no chance the tower could collapse, and he would have saved everybody in the building. Because that's the kind of guy Brian Good is.

And Farther Down the Rabbit Hole....

Phil Jayhan (who financed the first Loose Change movie) dares to think the unthinkable:

We have more then a few things we have discovered about Mr. William Rodriguez, alleged last man out of the world trade center on 9/11 which are extremely suspicious, but none as suspicious as when one draws a simple gracious time-line of William Rodriguez's very own tale of the events and compares it to probability verses possibility verses impossibility. . Unfortunately, no matter how one does the equation of William Rodriguez's tale of events of September the 11th, 2001, last man out, there is no available possibility that his story is true. There is literally no other possibility then that his tale of events is a staggering national hoax and at the crux of an international conspiracy.

Now I have been pretty critical of Willie's changing story over the years, and Mark Roberts compiled an excellent analysis of the evolution. So you might think that I'd applaud Jayhan for this piece. But he does not attack W-Rod from a standpoint of common sense; rather he does the typical paranoid nutbar routine:

8:30 Willie punches in - alleges 14 people in office with him; Did he count them all? The story gets off to a bad start with that. But lets continue.

And no kidding, the "timeline" part of the post continues like that, with Jayhan snarking all the way. But it gets much, much crazier:

It should be pointed out here that Willies story about Felipe David having 32% of his skin blown off his body from the explosion and then getting severely burned in the process, and THEN walking or taking the elevator up to the offices is a lie. He would have been unconcious and in shock. This is where Willies story simply starts falls apart. Look now for embellishments which make the super hero look even more heroic.

Of course, Jayhan apparently disagrees with Felipe David himself about the first part:

God answered Felipe David's prayer the morning of Sept. 11. The member of Transfiguration Lutheran Church, Bronx, N.Y., suffered severe burns to most of his body in the World Trade Center explosion.

When the first plane crashed, David was taking inventory of the vending machines in the center's basement. "I asked God to give me strength. And I was able to get up and run six blocks to find an exit," he says.

But it gets much, muck wackier:

2. Where are the 16 miles of staircase that you cleaned on a daily basis Willy? They are totally and completely absent from the debris pile. "Where did those 16 miles of missing staircases go to Willy? And why aren't those 16 miles of missing staircases at the world trade center part of your international crusade?

What? The staircases are all missing? Oh, but Jayhan has an explanation for that. Hold onto your hats:

9. The truth is you never once cleaned the stairwells at the world trade center and that your entire story is a fraud, and you are a total fraud Willy. There was no stairwells at the world trade center. 16 miles of missing staircase is an impossibility under every circumstance but one. That they were never there to begin with.

!!!! Now I think we can all agree on a scale of 1-10, Jayhan's nutbar-o-meter just hit 27. But... is he really any more crazy than Box Boy Richard Gage, who thinks that all the floors are missing?

Rep Tries to Rescue W-Rod

Over at 9-11 Flogger (no link), Reprehensor attempts to claim that Rodriguez' testimony to the 9-11 Commission actually comports with his current version of events.

Clearly, Rodriguez was indeed talking about "explosions" from the very start.

It ain't going to fly. From the notes:

"Rodriguez said on September 11, 2001 he reported late to work which was unusual for him. He said he was in the B1 sublevel ABM office speaking to Anthony Saltamachia when the plane struck the North Tower (WTC 1). He immediately thought the explosion was caused by a generator. Shortly after the first explosion a second explosion rocked the building and caused the office's false ceiling to collapse. Following these explosions Felipe David, who was severely burned, ran into the office. Rodriguez said there was a third explosion and he believed then the explosions were caused by an earthquake."

Sequence of events then:

1. Plane hits tower.
2. Explosion.

Sequence of events now:
1. Explosion.
2. Plane hits tower.

Later, during a question-and-answer session, Dr Mahathir said he had doubts that the collapse of the World Trade Centre in New York was actually caused by terrorists crashing planes into the towers.

He said the buildings had collapsed in an orderly manner with such military precision that it all seemed well planned.

“I can believe that they (the United States) would kill 3,000 of their own to have an excuse to kill 650,000 Iraqis. These are the kind of people we are dealing with. Please don't think this is fiction.”

Of course the folks at 9-11 Blogger are happy to welcome him aboard uncritically. No looking into his past to see if this is the kind of guy you want inside your tent. And as you can probably guess, the past is pretty ugly:

Meanwhile, Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad told the leaders of the 57 member states that make up the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) during a summit in Malaysia on 16 October that Muslims have been outmaneuvered by Jews, who cleverly devise ways to manipulate powerful countries.

He's also something of a homophobe:

Former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad recruited Anwar for Malaysia's ruling United Malays National Organization more than two decades ago and groomed him to take over until the Asian financial crisis. Anwar, who called for reform then, was dismissed by his boss and imprisoned for almost six years on corruption and sodomy charges.

Malaysia's Federal Court, the highest court of appeal, quashed the sodomy conviction in 2004, although it upheld the corruption charge, which means Anwar cannot run for public office until 2008.

The charges against Anwar constituted a "show trial" according to Al Gore. The Wikipedia entry notes (but does not cite):

Al Gore and the United States were critical of the trial of Mahathir's former deputy Anwar Ibrahim, going as far to label it as a "show trial". The trial itself was a tawdry spectacle. The government included the statements of the purported "victims" of Anwar's sodomy attacks, evidence that was widely considered to be tainted. Furthermore, the prosecution was unable to accurately decide on a date that the alleged acts of anal sex had occurred - the government originally alleged that a sodomy had occurred inside a building that had not been constructed at the time of the alleged event. In response to widespread condemnation of the trail from human rights groups and the Malaysia bar association, he ordered a crackdown on the media and opposition parties who protested the trial.

"We want him (Dr Mahathir who is chairman of Perdana Global Peace Organisation) to help us set up an international commission to reopen the investigation," said Jimmy Walter, who has brought together individuals under the Reopen 911 organisation dedicated to opening a real investigation into the tragic attacks.

Joining him were American Free Press journalist Michael Collins Piper, Yvonne Ridley who is the political editor of Islam Channel United Kingdom and William Rodriguez, the last man to run out of the WTC before it collapsed.

They claimed to have evidence that the towers came down in a controlled demolition, and that a much bigger agenda lurked behind the war on terror, unleashed soon after with the attack on Afghanistan and Iraq by United States-led forces.

The Troofer Wars: Dylan Avery vs. William Rodriguez

The splits in the troofer ranks continues, this time in this incredible thread on the Loose Change Forum, where Dylan Avery blames William Rodriguez for the Mark Cuban theater deal falling through.

Nobody was supposed to know about that until the time was right. Thanks to William Rodriguez telling the NY Post all about it, the deal with Cuban was sunk within a week, and Charlie still hasn't gotten back to us with feedback on the cut we sent him. He just got syndication of Two and a Half Men, so maybe that's what's more important. It's his life, not mine.

Rodriguez then responds saying that it was not his fault, and that he would have appeared in Loose Change: The Final Cut, but Dylan would not share the money. Apparently Rodriguez was even trying to sell the testimony of other witnesses for money. Amazing.

I did know about Charlie Sheen because they told me as they did many other people in the conference, in fact by the end of the conference, everyone was talking about it. Specially very impressed girls that were there. Cuban? I did not know who he was or that he was involved at all. The first time I heard his name was on the post article, never even followed sports before-except for boxing . Now I gather you are either Jason or Korey - because you have been quiet since april-so I will address this directly. You were bragging about the money and budget to "certain" people. I was very happy for all of you and even facilitated many interviews. In my case, I told them ( you ) that if this was going to be a movie release and not an internet effort, the rules of the game changes and that I, my organization should be compensated, in exchange I will give you the rights to the testimony and also unique exclusive videos of my 20 years working on the Towers. Finally, access to many of the eyewitnesses that are waiting to testify that were never interviewed before. Not a bad deal, isn't? I helped broker your interview with April Gallup asking you to set up some kind of Scholarship or help fund for her as well. You agreed. I had the calls from Erick still saved talking about the need for the interview and agreement on basic terms. we also agreed that a porcentage of the proceeds should go to help first responders. Very loable.

Ron & Mark on Schroeder, Rodriguez

This is a fascinating discussion about the John Schroeder interview tying it in with Willie Rodriguez's claims. The only negative is that the show is only a half-hour long.

Is Willie Rodriguez the Lindbergh Baby?

Charles Lindbergh was an American hero, the first man to fly the Atlantic Ocean. Years later his baby was kidnapped and held for ransom, and apparently killed even though the ransom money was paid. A German-American named Bruno Hauptmann was eventually convicted of the crime, although conspiracy theories have raged for decades about the matter, and for a time it was fashionable for the tabloids to claim sensationally that one or the other new Hollywood celebrity was secretly the Lindbergh baby.

Of course, given that the Lindbergh baby would now be 77 years old, it seems highly unlikely that Willie Rodriguez could be that former infant, barring some medical miracle from Bill Deagle's pharmacopia. But the Feathered Bastard notes some distinct similarities between the Keymaster and Lucky Lindy.

No-Planers Go After Willie Rodriguez

It's been awhile since we've checked in with Nico, but he did mention this post in the comments, and I thought it was worth mentioning:

William Rodriguez confirmed in his own bio, that he was actually working as an "assistant" for MindOP specialist James Randi.

Rodriguez used the stage name "Roudy", still part of his email handle.

Randi's JREF Forum is meanwhile organizing 'flagwaver' attacks against the 9/11 Truthlings, mostly influenced by 911truth.org, 911blogger.com and LooseChange.

Nico does bring up Mark Roberts' paper on Rodriguez, which puzzles him for a moment, but he comes to the 100% right conclusion:

Pushing the argument aside, that Mark Roberts would spread this analysis to 'harm the movement' because of *being a shill*, this string of logic doesn't make sense at all. Why would a 'shill' sacrifice the most important manipulator [Rodriguez] of the 9/11 Truth Movement?

Fact is, Roberts didn't make anything up and is actually just a regular "patriot" (though blindsided on the general evidence of Controlled Demolition), but his detailed timeline analysis of Rodriguez reveals factually a fraud which everyone can figure easily by himself.

Nico comes to the conclusion that Rodriguez may have been planted as a disinformation tool prior to 9-11, which of course is absurd. I agreed with him on the infiltration of the movement by cults and cultists and I stand by that opinion. But I don't buy that it's been infiltrated by agents of the government.

While reading this, though, remember that infiltration of the group by the feds is taken as a given by most "Truthers". Nico may be out on the edge with his No-Planes theories but almost all of the 9-11 Deniers agree that the Feds have agents inside the movement. This kind of paranoia is normal for them, and Nico's position here is no more extreme that that of Dylan Avery or Barrie Zwicker.
