Los Angeles: They wore T-shirts asking "What Really Happened?," snapped up DVDs titled "9/11; The Great Illusion," and cheered as physicists, philosophers and terrorism experts decried the official version of the September 11 attacks that shook America to its core.
Some 1,200 people gathered at a Los Angeles hotel on the weekend for what organisers billed as the largest conference on the plethora of conspiracy theories that see the 2001 attacks on Washington and New York as, at best, official negligence, and at worst an orchestrated US attempt to incite world war.
"There are so many prominent people who are incredibly well-respected who have stated that the evidence is overwhelming that 9/11 was an inside job," syndicated radio talk show host Alex Jones told a news conference.
"There are hundreds of smoking guns that people need to be made aware of," said Jones, calling for the impeachment of President George W. Bush.

Osama bin Laden and the others higher-ups are American citizens? That's news to me.
Well, yeah, if Osama was on trial for treason I WOULD support him, since he'd be innocent of that particular crime. I'd much rather see him tried for conspiracy to murder.

Hey Roger, don't forget that the conspirators in this event, according to CTs, CONTROL THE GOVERNMENT AND THE MEDIA! Wouldn't that mean they CONTROL THE COURTS TOO? If they can somehow prevent every structural engineer and demolitions expert in the world from telling the "truth", how the hell do you expect them to bring themselves to trial?
Seriously, that has got to be the most retarded thing about the 9-11 conspiracy theory. They tell us about this omnipotent government that can control all possible leaks about the conspiracy, yet somehow they insist that these people will one day be "tried for treason" in the courts that they run.
Let me ask you CTs this; if the government does NOT put members of the administration on trial for organizing and executing 9-11, will you admit that this is due to a lack of credible evidence of their involvement- or will you blame it on their control of congress, the courts, etc?
