Yes i suppose [the Wieck/Roberts debate with the Loosers] did help. Also the thread at jref by lyte trip on lloyd testimony convinced me what a truly deranged movement i was a part of.
I realised in the last few days that i wasnt just arguing with jrefers, I was arguing with the rational part of my mind.
I now only believe that warnings were ignored.
I think the CD hypothesis on reflection is absurd
BTW, I noted over a month ago on the JREF forum that PDoherty was quite capable of doing solid debunking work. Meanwhile, the folks at the Looser Forum are taking this with some dismay.

Yes I think PD is changing. I think he has just come to the realization that the entire movement he has been defending really has no solid evidence to back it up...and now he feels he must have said evidence to believe.
I find it odd that he still finds JREFers "disgusting", but I guess that is for personal reasons, not limited to the nasty insult hurling thrown his way, in response to the same he has thrown himself.
I think I will give him a chance, some time to watch his behavior, and if he seems legit, then I will hold no more against him...

That's probably a defense mechanism he's clinging to in order to keep some semblance of justification of his actions. This assumes his little conversion is an honest one.

Part of me suspects you never bought any of the CT arguements, you just liked trying to push buttons.
I smell some BS to.
PD did show signs of improvement at times (like when he admitted 'Al Qaeda did it') but then he'd follow it up with something so absurd ('Al Qaeda might have planted the demolition charges') that it just didn't seem like he were all there mentally.
Basically, I doubt his story because I simply refuse to believe that someone with the education he claims to have could possibly be suckered in by twoofer bullshit - even for just a little while.

I was raised as a member of the United Church before I "saw the light" and stopped believing. And since the loosers are so similar to a religious cult, I can understand how someone might need some time before preferring to see reality to whatever they were comfortable with believing before.
Why not just view PDoherty as you would any first time poster here? If he acts up after supposedly seeing our side, dismiss him then, but give them a chance to not screw up too. My 2ยข.

I was on a "Loose Change" forum under another name (who needs these nuts coming after me?), and got the worst invective and name-calling when I merely questioned them on getting actual demolition experts to agree that WTC 1 and 2 were brought down by demolition.

PD was/is worse. Frankly, I feel a bit uncomfortable having him on "our" side. There's definitely something wrong with that character, and I for one don't want anything to do with him.
