Mancow Update

Okay, if you didn't stay tuned you probably thought I was on for ten seconds, but Mancow brought me back on a little later to talk about WTC-7. I pointed out that WTC-7 is the gateway drug to 9-11 Denial, that it seems safe because nobody died in that building, and for a change, the Deniers aren't taking a leak on somebody's grave. But really, it's not harmless; if you buy Rosie's argument that WTC-7 came down because of controlled demolition, then you have to buy that the Twin Towers were also demolished, because otherwise there would be no excuse for WTC-7 collapsing. So you've gotta bite off the whole enchilada, not just a little nibble.

He also asked what I found most offensive about Loose Change, and I immediately responded that it's the argument about the cellphone calls being voice morphing technology. As longtime readers of this blog know, that's the section of Loose Change that set me off and caused me to agree when James B. suggested we set up a blog to combat the Loosers.

Thanks again to Mancow for having me on the show and to his producer, Marissa, for setting things up!

Geez, Pat, you lied to Mancow??

No victims at WTC 7? Does Mancow know about this:
"...I'm on top of building 7 just pulling out rubbish. Pulled out a Port Authority cop at about 11 o'clock in the morning..."
http://www.whatreallyhappened.com/IMAGES/wtc7_cop.wmv

“The New York Field Office lost their office, and a colleague, on September 11th. But
they never lost their focus or their determination to do what they could to help their
fellow employees, and the citizens of New York,” Director Stafford said. “I am honored
that Congress has recognized the exceptional efforts of the New York Field Office.”
The Secret Service New York Field Office was located in 7 World Trade Center, which,
along with Towers 1 and 2, collapsed following the terrorist attacks. One employee,
Master Special Officer Craig Miller, died during the rescue efforts. Miller was
temporarily assigned to New York in preparation for the United Nations General
Assembly.

Maybe the guy pulled out a manican and was 'confused because of the chaotic events of the day'.

No suprise you can't even get the OS straight.

Just like with our Attorney General Gonzales, the more lies you tell the harder it is to give a straight story.

"Taking a leak on somebody's grave"?

Hey, how about using the victims names to kill 650,000 people?

September 11, 2001.

The Secret Service New York Field Office is its largest field operation, employing over 200 personnel. An additional 100 employees were in New York to plan, implement and staff the foreign dignitary details for the upcoming United Nations General Assembly.

Once the first plane hit, we implemented emergency evacuation plans for our field office located in World Trade Center #7. All these individuals were in the process of being evacuated when the second plane hit. While the Secret Service law enforcement personnel assisted NYPD and NYFD evacuate the towers, the administrative staff and temporary personnel were escorted to safety. Secret Service Special Officer Craig Miller was killed while assisting in the evacuation of one of the towers. Later that day, the USSS New York Field Office was lost as World Trade Center #7 collapsed.

H1497
HONORING UNITED STATES SECRET SERVICE NEW YORK FIELD OFFICE FOR EXTRAORDINARY PERFORMANCE DURING AND IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 -- (House of Representatives - April 23, 2002)

Mr. OTTER. Madam Speaker, I yield myself such time that I may consume.

Madam Speaker, I am pleased to have the House consider House Resolution 384 introduced by my distinguished colleague, the gentleman from Oklahoma (Mr. Istook). I commend him for sponsoring this important resolution.

This resolution honors the men and the women of the United States Secret Service New York field office for their extraordinary performance and commitment to service during and following the September 11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.

Madam Speaker, Building 7 of the World Trade Center housed a number of Federal Government offices, including the IRS, the EEOC, the Defense Department, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the New York field office of the United States Secret Service. The field office was destroyed on September 11 and, tragically, Master Special Officer Craig Miller lost his life when the building collapsed.

Here is some more from Mr. Otter.

On September 11, the Secret Service New York field office, which was located in 7 World Trade Center, was destroyed by these terrorist attacks. Throughout that day, throughout that night, there were countless examples, as we have heard, of Secret Service employees placing themselves at great risk to be of aid to others. Just one example of heroism and dedication is Master Special Officer Craig Miller, who was lost in the collapse of the World Trade Towers. It is important that Craig Miller be remembered as an example of what is truly important about this country.

We may never know exactly how Craig Miller died that day, but his life provided many examples of the sterling character which characterizes the people in the Secret Service of which we speak. That day his sacrifice, and the sacrifice of others who were lost beside him in serving others, inspires all of us as Americans to move ahead on the course of freedom; to know that through dedication to duty, through strength of character, and through selfless service to others freedom will prevail.

Some parts of the transcripts can be found here.

I think we will never know what really happened to Craig Miller it seems. They found his equipment in the Marriot hotel.

Tragically, as the gentleman from Idaho (Mr. Otter) has said, the Secret Service lost an employee, Master Special Officer Craig Miller. Officer Miller was on a temporary assignment in New York for the United Nations General Assembly and was nearby at the Marriott Hotel when the first plane hit the World Trade Center. Although the hotel was evacuated, it appears that Officer Miller stayed behind to help.

Because of his military background and extensive emergency medical training, those who knew Officer Miller believe his life was taken while trying to assist the wounded. In fact, some of the medical equipment was later found in the lobby of the Marriott Hotel that that particular officer had in his possession.

n September 2001 Special Officer Miller was detailed to the Special Assignments Unit at the World Trade Center, New York City, providing advanced security work for President Bush's upcoming visit to the United Nations General Assembly. His bravery on September 11th was above and beyond the call of duty. Craig Miller died as he was providing critical assistance to those present as the twin towers collapsed. At a memorial service in November 2001, at St. Patrick's Cathedral, Master Special Officer Craig Miller was awarded the United States Secret Service Award for Valor. Craig was an American Patriot, and his sacrifice and service to this country will never be forgotten. He left behind a wife and four young children. His award was received by his parents, George and Linda Miller of East Bridgewater.

Here.

Pretty pathetic that Swing pretends to respect the victims, but can't even get their story straight on where they died.

Hey, how about using the victims names to kill 650,000 people?

650,000 people have not died in Iraq.

Hey, spoonfed, the left's nonsensical lie about 650,000 dead Iraqis has been thoroughly debunked...oh, wait. I forgot--you're a conspiracy liar. You don't care that it's been debunked. Silly me.

Jay, I already pointed those things out to him several months ago. He's just using the usual twoofer tactic of burying the topic for a while, and then bringing it up again hoping that nobody will remember that he got his ass handed to him the last time.

Eh, never hurts to cover it again. To give credit where it's due, you deffinitely went into more detail than I did :)

Hehehe, well i got the first link from ScottS, then SD came with that story so i looked it up and found the other parts from that story he left out, or didn't even know existed. I bet some truther "forgot" to look at the rest of that congressional record.
