Scott Fenstermaker on Hardfire
Scott Fenstermaker, the lawyer who has been representing one of the accused al Qaeda members who are scheduled to stand trial in New York, goes on Hardfire with Ron Wieck, who long time readers will know for his shows with Richard Gage, Jim Fetzer and others. I am still trying to figure out this guy. He is a strange character. It is an interesting show though.

One of the resident nutjobs over at 911 Blogger has posted, not one, but two, articles from none other than Christopher Story. This is the guy who came up with that whole Leo Wanta $27.5 trillion man thing. The guy who claimed that Alan Greenspan was arrested, and then that Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson was shot and killed.
Silverstein ‘just happens’ to be the name of Silverstein Properties, holders of the leases on the Twin Towers, which were demolished precisely 30 years to the day from the date that construction work on them began on 11th September 1971 after Silverstein had taken out a special catastrophe insurance policy. As we have recently reported, the number of people who were murdered when the Twin Towers were demolished is put at around 12,000 by legal sources serving the interests of the bereaved families – which accounted for the pungent stench of rotting flesh that the Editor noted in Midtown Manhattan in late October 2001 and again in February 2002.
The two operatives mentioned above have of course been engaged all along in CIA fraud, under cover of ‘working for’ the Bush Crime Family, which is integrated with the Intelligence Power – the Langley base of which is named the George Bush Center for Intelligence [= TERRORISM].
My favorite headline though, has to be:
Flight 253 passenger: Sharp-dressed man aided terror suspect Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab onto plane without passport
Another Post Highlighting the Worst of the Truth Movement
Further details on Charlie Sheen's Christmas morning escapades:
Charlie Sheen's wife made an emergency call saying she thought she was going to die during her alleged Christmas Day scuffle with the actor, it emerged yesterday.
Brooke Mueller later told police he pinned her on a bed, put a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her after she said she wanted a divorce.
An affidavit released yesterday quoted her as saying the actor told her: 'You better be in fear. If you tell anybody, I'll kill you.'
Insert obligatory statement about how this is not typical of the Truth Movement so that Jon Gold doesn't get his panties twisted.
Hang 'Em High Barrett suggests putting the FEMA Death Camps to use:
In "Bended Knees" Petras writes: "The key to the power of the Zionist Power Configuration is that it is a mass grassroots organization, bolstered by the financial support by scores of millionaires and dozens of billionaires and a complicit mass media." Maybe the FEMA camps, built to house opponents of the Zionist wars, should instead be filled with the roughly 500,000 hardcore members of this "grassroots organization" (Petras's estimate) as well as the scores of millionaires, dozens of billionaires, and hundreds of media decision-makers who should all be prosecuted as unregistered agents of a foreign power?
As we've remarked in the past, maybe the reason these fruitcakes believe in the FEMA Death Camps is because if they ever got into power, they would institute them against their enemies.
Meanwhile the NJ branch of the WAC-jobs says that Silverstein brought down the towers because they were a bad investment:
The South Path thread at 9-11 Flogger continues to provide chuckles, with over 120 comments so far. Someone named JimD3100 notes that despite Craig and Aldo's longstanding claim that they went to DC with no preconceived theory about what happened at the Pentagon, in fact they were accusing Lloyd England of complicity in early 2006 (well before their DC trip):

Plenty O' Crazy
Over at this post at Craig Murray's site, as mentioned by Angry Soba and Patrick from Cincinnati. Murray is a former British Ambassador to Uzbekistan, and something of a fruitcake, apparently. He does the classic "Boxcutters, ha ha," routine about the attempted Christmas bomber:
Silly Nigerian Man Sets Fire to Own Leg
Well, of course, he's just silly, because he didn't succeed. Never mind that ABC News is reporting that he was operating under orders of senior Al Qaeda leaders in Yemen, or that the New York Times reports that the explosive he was planning to use could have brought down the plane:
Had Mr. Abdulmutallab, sitting in seat 19A of Northwest Airlines Flight 253 on Friday from Amsterdam to Detroit, been able to set off the explosive, it might have blown a hole in the side of the airplane and caused it to crash, experts believe.
But as cracked as Murray's response is to the incident, check out the comments for the 151-proof insanity.
Update: More tawdry details on Murray here. Hat tip to Patrick from Cincinnati.

A Response to Jon Gold
We get dragged into another fight over at Flogger and used as a club to beat Jon Gold with. Loose Nuke posted a bit of Adam Larson's work at Frustrating Fraud and gives props to JREF forum member Mangoose, which sets off the battle. CIT-head Bruno writes:
"Props to Mangoose at JREF for a couple of these leads."
What the heck is that all about? Earlier this week loosenuke and Jon Gold were giving props to screwloosechange, and now they are giving props to the JREFfers.
As loose nuke correctly notes, Mangoose provided leads, that Adam Larson followed up on. The information stands on its own; either it is true or false. Bruno, and fellow nutter Adam Syed, are attempting to deny the information by casting aspersions on the person who provided links to the information elsewhere.
As you can imagine, giving props to Screw Loose Change and JREF is a mortal sin in the Troof Movement, and Jon Gold hastens to assure all that he's not doing that:
Really Bruno? Did I do that? I believe what I said was just because SLC posts a link, does not make the link illegitimate. On top of that, my name isn't anywhere in this post. Your statement is a falsehood. I despise ScrewLooseChange, and the people that run it. They are hideous individuals who cherry pick the worst the 9/11 Truth Movement has to offer, and do their very best to portray them as the whole. They lie, and omit crucial information from most of their arguments. Part of the reason I debated Pat Curley was because I wanted to discredit him, and people like him.
Well, you know how it is. Yes, at times we highlight the worst the 9-11 "Truth" Movement has to offer. But is there really any "best" to the movement? Back when we started, David Ray Griffin was considered the spokesman by many. It's safe to say that still more or less applies, even if Gold and the Truth Action folks have cottoned onto his tricks.
Richard Gage and Steven Jones? Oh, sorry, that's the Controlled Demolition Movement. Who, exactly, or what would you like us to focus our debunking efforts on?
Oh, that part about being despicable? It's despicable to accuse the Bush/Cheney administration of involvement in the 9-11 attacks, which Jon Gold still does, even though he never hangs his hat on any actual proof.

All Quiet on the Troofer Front
No comments yet about this story at any of the usual suspects.
The plot to blow up an American passenger jet over Detroit was organized and launched by al Qaeda leaders in Yemen who apparently sewed bomb materials into the suspect's underwear before sending him on his mission, federal authorities tell ABC News.
Underwear, ha ha! Here's a discussion of the guy who apprehended this Christmas turkey:
Jasper Schuringa, a video director and producer from Amsterdam, told CNN how he helped the cabin crew to subdue Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the 23-year-old who reportedly ignited a small explosive device on board the plane Friday as it prepared to land in Detroit.
Schuringa said he heard a sound that reminded him of a firecracker and someone yelling, “Fire! Fire!”
But he was only certain something was wrong when he saw smoke. He saw Abdulmutallab's pants open and he was holding a burning object between his legs.
"I pulled the object from him and tried to extinguish the fire with my hands and threw it away," Schuringa said.
Great job, Jasper!

Truther Hero Sheen Booked on Domestic Violence
Actor Charlie Sheen spoke to a Pitkin County judge and was released from jail on bond Friday night after he was arrested at an Aspen home on felony domestic violence charges on Christmas morning.
The 44-year-old star of of the CBS show "Two and Half Men" was arrested after police were called by a 9-1-1 call about 8:30 a.m. to a home at 320 West Hallam St. near downtown.
An ambulance was called, but the alleged victim did not require help, according to Aspen police.
Just another day in the life of "Wild Thing".
Over at Prison Planet, the speculation is mostly that Sheen was set up due to the power of his 20 Minutes With the President fantasy.
Harp must have been fired up all night long last night as I woke up in a state of panic a dozen times.
Gossip at the Daily News:
The actor and wife Brooke Mueller, married since May 2008, recently took a quiet trial separation, Radaronline.com reported.
They got together in Aspen - where Mueller rented a house - for the holidays and started arguing early Christmas morning, the gossip site said.
It got heated, and cops were called. Sheen, 44, was hauled off to jail and charged with assault and other crimes.

What's Worse Than Debating the CIT-Heads?
Debating the CIT-heads and losing. John Bursill takes on Craig Ranke in a 2-1/2 hour slug-fest (in the sense that both debaters are slugs), and admits that he lost.
This is a debate no one else would have, so once again I get left carrying the bag:) By the way Craig will be viewed the winner (congratulations)....but I hope all are benefited by this sometimes painful process. I do not represent any others in this debate, and strongly defend the work of Michael Wolsey and Jim Hoffman et al as important and valid although I accept it could of been done better.
Adam Syed, a CIT-head himself, engages in a little victory dance at 9-11 Flogger, and reveals himself as a pinhead. For instance:
Craig explains his line of reasoning and uses one of Richard Gage's lecture points as an analogy. This lecture point concerns statistics and probability. With the controlled demolition proof: There are 10 (or more) characteristics of the 'collapses' that are characteristic to only controlled demolition. Gage makes the point that: Let's just say that ONE of those characteristics MIGHT have a (generous) 1 in 100 chance of occurring in a "natural" collapse without explosives. Well, for TWO of those characteristics to occur without CD would already be a 1 in 10,000 chance, meaning quite low indeed. But for ALL TEN of these features to occur without CD is 1 in 100^10 (more correctly spelled 1 x 10^20). In other words, zero, for all practical purposes.
Similarly, at the Pentagon we have 13 eyewitnesses who independently corroborate each other in placing the plane on the north side of the gas station. Of these 13, let's say there's a 1/100 chance of one of them being wrong. But the odds of two of them both being wrong about the plane's location w/r to Citgo is 1/10,000, etc. The probably that all 13 witnesses are wrong about the plane being on the north side is, for all practical purposes, zero.
So much nonsense in those two little paragraphs! Gage always ignores that there are many, many characteristics of controlled demolition that were not present at the World Trade Center. For starters, there were no loud explosions.
Second, there is no way that saying there is only a 1 in 100 chance of any individual North of Citgo witness being wrong is generous. Eyewitnesses are notoriously unreliable, which is why the essential message of every episode of CSI is that when the physical evidence contradicts the eyewitnesses, go with the physical evidence.
And playing the "what are the odds" game cuts against the CIT-heads anyway, as I pointed out months ago. Let's really be generous and say that the odds are 70% that each witness is right and 30% that he is wrong. Adam and Craig would like us to focus on the idea that the odds of them all being wrong are vanishingly small; 30% to the 14th power, which works out to be about 1 in 20 million.
But let's flip that around and ask, what are the odds that they are all right? That's 70% to the 14th power, which may not be vanishingly small, but it's about 0.6% or about 1 in 150. And that's before we get into questions like whether Edward Paik's flight path is significantly different than the "official story" or whether Officer Legasse was playing games with the Troofers.
Note as well this key point in Bursill's post:
Even though it was my understanding that all 13/14 witnesses CIT site believe a plane hit the Pentagon, Craig also now disputes this but would not be drawn on the number...
Of course Ranke disputes that, because if he admits it, his whole "what are the odds" game can be played against him. What are the odds that the eyewitnesses were wrong about the plane hitting the Pentagon? Obviously an order of magnitude or more lower than whether they're wrong about the plane's position vis-a-vis the Citgo station.

I Will Call Your Offensive Theory and Raise You a Completely Idiotic One
The troofers, in a rare bit of honesty, are actually challenging David Ray Griffin's continued dishonesty over at 911 Blogger. True to form though, the idiots still come out of the woodwork in the comments to promote the missiles at the Pentagon theory, this time with amusing specificity.
I don't give a damn if American Airlines had airphones or not on September 11, 2001, because the large aircraft that flew over the Pentagon did not contain Barbara Olson. Any commercial aircraft approaching the Pentagon would have had its two engines blown off by the six (not five, six) anti-aircraft missile batteries protecting the Pentagon reservation on 9/11. Only military aircraft could fly over the Pentagon without incident.

Conspiracy Theories: History for Losers
Great article by David Aaronovitch:
These cyber-driven days, each new U.S. president has attracted theories of his own, assiduously spread mostly by partisans of the other side. So the saturnine Bill Clinton murdered Vince Foster and a whole lot of men in Arkansas (we won't discuss what he did with the women of Arkansas), the infernal George W. Bush brought down the twin towers, and the foreign Barack Obama isn't an American at all, and has plotted to cover it up. Interestingly out-of-power Democrats are far more likely to believe the theories about in-power Republicans, and powerless Republicans far more likely to believe them about powerful Democrats. One aspect of conspiracy theories is that they are history for losers.
Note particularly this paragraph on the features of conspiracy theories:
These include an appeal to precedent, self-heroization, contempt for the benighted masses, a claim to be only asking "disturbing questions," invariably exaggerating the status and expertise of supporters, the use of apparently scholarly ways of laying out arguments (or "death by footnote"), the appropriation of imagined Secret Service jargon, circularity in logic, hydra-headedness in growing new arguments as soon as old ones are chopped off, and, finally, the exciting suggestion of persecution. These characteristics help them to convince intelligent people of deeply unintelligent things.
Appeal to precedent? Loose Change II and AAC each started out with mentions of supposed precedents in Operation Northwoods and the Reichstag Fire. Self-heroization? Yep, the "Truthers" are the real heroes of 9-11. Contempt for the benighted masses? Sheeple. JAQing off? Yep. Exaggerating the status and expertise of supporters? Donald Meserlian, the forensic engineer who turned out to be a swimming pool engineer? Or Karl "nanotubes" Schwarz? Scholarly BS? JONES, anyone? Imagined jargon? Pull it. Etc.

I Will Call Your Dishonest Theory, and Raise You a Completely Offensive One
Our posts on David Ray Griffin lying about the phone calls from flight 77 have added to quite the spat over on 911 Blogger. Of course this would not be complete without the usual idiotic comments attacking us, as if we were the important ones in this issue, and this rather bizarre attack on the victims. Oddly enough Jon "just think of the family members" Gold doesn't object at all to this part of the comment. I guess he only cares about the family members who weren't in on the plot.
Now, what you say about the existence of airphones on Flight 77 I'd like to see from a source other than Screw Loose Change. You might be right, but I need something more substantial than Screw Loose Change's word for it. However, as I said earlier, it doesn't matter if there were no airphones. There are four unidentified calls supposedly made by passengers on Flight 77, therefore the FBI could say that two of those calls (cell) got through. And as you say, there are other witnesses who affirm Ted got a call from Barbara.
I'm coming to the conclusion that the passengers on Flights 93 and 77 were in on the operation. Since I know that Flight 93 landed at Cleveland, that affirms that those passengers said to have boarded Flight 93 at Newark, didn't! I believe that the voice morphing Griffin believes occurred was actually the real passengers, however those passengers were a part of the operation. In other words Flight 93 followed the Operation Northwoods scenario.

Truther Billboard Erected
Apparently this was put in in Winslow, Arizona. Note in particular that it promotes the flaky Patriots Question 9-11 website, which has been criticized by many Truthers. I doubt it will last long; billboards are regulated by law and I doubt a permit was obtained for this one's construction.
I do like the song, however.

More On Griffin
Pat touched on this, but I thought it deserved further discussion, just how dishonest and offensive David Ray Griffin continues to be. For a couple of years now he has argued that the phone calls on 9/11 were fake, although he continues to change his story on exactly why. Now he is back to the "there were no airfones on flight 77" a theory that he at one point backed away from, and which we have disproved at length. He continues to focus on Barbara Olson, because he insists that it was necessary to the plot since Olson was a minor celebrity, because apparently America would not have been upset that 3,000 people were killed if none of them were television personalities.
In 2004 when they sent their report to the 9/11 Commission, they still had their calls from Barbara Olson in the report. But in 2006 people in the 9/11 truth movement found out that flight 77 didn't have any on-board phones, no seatback phones of any sort. What are you going to do then? So call customers service, and talk to him. And he says "That's right, we didn't have any on-board phones." The Boeing 757s that were made for American, unlike those made for United, were not equipped with on-board phones. What does the FBI do then? The can't say she called on a cellphone, because it was too high. They can't say she called on an on-board phone because there weren't any, so they change the story again in 2007. And the new story is this, there were no calls from Barbara Olson. You can find this now on the graphic for the report that they turn in, excuse in 2006, for the Moussoui trial. And you find the graphic for Barbara Olson, here is what it says "Barbara Olson, one call attempted, unconnected. And they always say how long it lasted, zero seconds.
57.The records available for the phone calls from American 77 do not allow for a determination of which of four “connected calls to unknown numbers” represent the two between Barbara and Ted Olson, although the FBI and DOJ believe that all four represent communications between Barbara Olson and her husband’s office (all family members of the Flight 77 passengers and crew were canvassed to see if they had received any phone calls from the hijacked flight, and only Renee May’s parents and Ted Olson indicated that they had received such calls). The four calls were at 9:15:34 for 1 minute, 42 seconds; 9:20:15 for 4 minutes, 34 seconds; 9:25:48 for 2 minutes, 34 seconds; and 9:30:56 for 4 minutes, 20 seconds. FBI report,“American Airlines Airphone Usage,” Sept. 20, 2001; FBI report of investigation, interview of Theodore Olson, Sept. 11, 2001; FBI report of investigation, interview of Helen Voss, Sept. 14, 2001;AAL response to the Commission’s supplemental document request, Jan. 20, 2004.
Grifter: Still An Ass
And still pushing the Barbara Olsen phone calls.
One of the Troofers over at 9-11 Flogger has a good question:
Why does Griffin trust the FBI on the Olson calls but not on the ID'ing of the hijackers? How does he know when to trust the FBI and when they are lying?
And the answer is classic conspiracy theorizing:
Part of Griffin's reasoning for when to trust the FBI is probably that when they present evidence that harms the OCT that evidence is more trustworthy. Evidence ID-ing the hijackers came from info in Atta's suitcase, which mysteriously did not get put on his flight from Logan. That sort of evidence is very suspicious as someone could easily have planted the suitcase; in fact that is more likely, especially as it is hard to see why Atta would have brought it with him and not destroyed it. The passport in NYC and the visa and bandanna in PA are other examples of evidence that was almost certainly planted. Similarly, when NIST admits 2.28 seconds of free-fall during the collapse of WTC7, that is strong evidence because we have numerous sources and it devastates their story. Notice they refuse to admit molten metal.
When the FBI backs up his ridiculous conspiracy theory, they're telling the TRUTH. When the FBI debunks his ridiculous conspiracy theory they're telling a lie.
Note that on the fires, Grifter continues with the asinine bit about how fires have never... ignoring that they fireproof the steel in highrises. Once again, if I had a chance to ask one question of Box Boy Gage, it would be along the lines of why does he require fireproofing on steel in the buildings he designs, if fire can't make a building collapse? Is it just for fun?
And the interviewer makes one ridiculous claim. He says that architects and engineers who support the "official story" state that what propelled the steel out hundreds of feet was the air escaping. That's not the case; I think he's confusing what caused the so-called "squibs".

More Barrett Evidence
I hadn't noticed this one before, but in Hang 'Em High's brief for KSM, he includes this bit:
103. On or about July 8, 2001, Mohamed Atta (AA #11) purchased two Victorinox Swiss Army pocket knives in Zurich, Switzerland.
[This is legal, routine, and non-suspicious behavior. The only suspicious thing about this overt act is that "Victorinox" resembles the pseudonym of an apparent provocateur who posts at the discredited website truthaction.org]
Compelling evidence, indeed. For those needing an explanation, Victoria Ashley, the wife of Jim Hoffman, posts at Truth Action under the nickname Victronix. Victronix, Victorinox.... it must be an inside job!

Al Zawahiri Speaks Out
The truthers like to talk about Osama bin Laden a lot, David Ray Griffin dedicated an entire book merely to the subject of whether he was alive or not, but for some reason they all but ignore his #2 Egyptian doctor Ayman al Zawahiri. He released a statement recently, which among other things called for support of the 5 al Qaeda members facing trial in New York City. Don't think that helped their case much.
Ayman Al-Zawahri also vowed the terror network will not forget militants held in American prisons — including Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, al-Qaida's mastermind of the September 11 bombings.
Mohammed and four others, held for years at the military base in Guantanamo Bay, are due to stand trial on charges they plotted the September 2001 attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people.
Last month's announcement of the trial, which will be held just blocks from where the World Trade Center towers were destroyed, has sparked concerns about the security risks involved.
Al-Zawahri issued no threats in his new audio message, but singled out Mohammed and two others — Ramzi Youssef, convicted and serving a life sentence for the first World Trade Center attack in 1993, and Omar Abdel-Rahman, serving a life sentence for conspiracies to blow up New York City landmarks and assassinate Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.
"We are not forgetting our brothers ... and urge all Muslims not to forget them," al-Zawahri said. "We are not forgetting Omar Abdel-Rahman, Ramzi Youssef and Khalid Sheikh Mohammed."

Ventura's Show "Reviewed" at Raw Story
Actually they don't do much reviewing, just recapping. As usual, the real hilarity is in the comments:
...to anyone whose interest has been peaked by this tv program -- i urge you to google WTC 7 and simply watch that building's 6.5 second freefall into 100 percent structural failure; that footage defies explanation for anyone who has adopted the accepted chain of events.
Is it 6.5 seconds of freefall, or something less?
Even NIST admits in their final report on WTC 7 that the building fell for 105 ft, 2.25 seconds, at a rate indistinguishable from free fall

Beyond Parody: CNN Fantasizes Al Qaeda Apology to Innocent Victims
Here's the headline:
So is Al Qaeda apologizing for Mark Bingham, or Todd Beamer, or Betty Ong? Not on your life; seems CNN didn't look closely enough at the story:
"We express our condolences to the families of the Muslim men, women and children killed in these criminal acts and we ask Allah to have mercy on those killed and accept them as shohadaa (martyrs)," he says in the video.
"We also express the same in regard to the unintended Muslim victims of the mujahedeen's operations against the crusaders and their allies and puppets, and to the countless faceless and nameless Muslim victims of the murderous crusades" in Afghanistan, Pakistan's Waziristan regions and Swat Valley, and elsewhere, he said.
It is a rare example of al Qaeda offering condolences to the families of those killed in the group's own attacks.
Seriously, did they miss a little adjective in there? Begins with "Mu" and ends with "slim"?
Hat Tip to Ann Althouse and Memeorandum.

Play Six Degrees of Separation With Kevin Ryan
Kevin Ryan, or as we like to call him around here, Waterboy, continues to fancy himself some sort of academic, even though his education is limited to a BS in chemistry from Indiana. Oddly enough though, he doesn't concentrate on anything related to his field, like say trying to show how nanothermite is used in controlled demolition, but has been writing these bizarre "six degrees of separation" articles showing how people in science, industry or politics are (gasp) connected to other people in science, industry or politics.
Stratesec was at the WTC, and therefore, through Barry McDaniel and the Bush family, the influence of The Carlyle Group was present as well. In a sense, Rumsfeld and Cheney were also present at the WTC, because both of them were on the advisory board of Salomon Smith Barney. And SAIC was at the WTC on 9/11 too, as it was one of the first companies to show up at Ground Zero on that day. That fact will be discussed in the third installment of the essay series entitled Demolition Access to the WTC.
As for Kissinger, within hours of the events of 9/11 he was writing an opinion piece for the Washington Post. In it, he claimed to have thorough knowledge of what would be required to pull off such a coordinated set of attacks. Kissinger went on to inform the American public of what must happen next: “the destruction of the system that is responsible.” No one can argue with that sentiment. But to this day, no one can accurately describe the terrorist system that was responsible for the 9/11 attacks, let alone destroy it.
In anycase, in this spirit I think I have found the ultimate 9/11 connection. Beat this Kev!

Troy: Six Months
Sorry to report this, but it's a story we have covered in the past:
Troy Sexton, 36, of Hurricane received six months in jail for one count and a one year suspended sentence for the other. He also must pay a fine and court costs.
The entire sentence has been put on hold while Sexton appeals the ruling.
I am hoping that the appeal will result in a substantially reduced sentence. Six months seems too long and serves nobody, least of all his family.

Jesse Ventura's 9-11 Conspiracy Theory
That was an interesting, if stupifying hour of TV. One noticeable point was that there was almost no advertising during the episode, which presumably reflects the controversial nature of the show.
Jesse quickly clads himself in the old "I'm just asking questions for the family members," armor. Donna Marsh O'Connor appears and actually seems normal. Compare and contrast her appearance then with this from 2006:
One can feel sorry for her while at the same time recognizing like five years later she should not be appearing at a rally with the 9-11 fruitcake "Inside Job" banner behind her. Sorry, Donna, but you and Bob McIlvaine (who appears later) have sold your credibility as 9-11 family members for the adulation of the Troofers.
Next up, Willie Rodriguez. Hilariously, Jesse claims Willie worked in WTC-2. Wow, way to fact check your stuff, guys. We get W-Rod's claim that he felt the explosion from below him. Never mind that his initial reports were that he heard a big rumble, remember?
Then comes Steven Jones. This time his substance is "superthermite"; it's been nanothermite, thermite and thermate in the past. It's liquid and can be painted on the steel. So they show poor Van Romero painting superthermite on this beam. And we see that while the unpainted beam did not catch fire, the painted beam did seem to light up. But will it fail structurally?
Well, no kidding they skip right over that part. Apparently the idea that the steel caught on fire, however briefly, is enough to convince Jesse that this was how they did it. And nobody stops to mention that the claim is that they destroyed columns (vertical) not beams (horizontal), and that we haven't seen the beam actually destroyed in the video by any means. It's another TrutherBurn fiasco!
Jesse makes it real by claiming it could be everywhere, in every highrise in the country. Because, you know, there are never any fires in highrises which would (according to the theory) suddenly and bizarrely implode due to that painted-on superthermite.
We get a little bit of Manny Badillo, who has basically supplanted Luke in the hierarchy of the 9-11 Troofers although Rudkowski does get to be in the background of the shot. I guess being the nephew of a victim gives Manny a little more credibility than being the boyfriend of a girl who used to go out with a guy whose father died on 9-11.
Jesse decides to stride into Ground Zero and get some samples of steel. Uh, Jess, it's been eight years, we have no steel samples here. We get the usual BS about how the steel was shipped out immediately. No mention of the Fresh Kills dump where everything was examined.
And oh, does he step completely into the sewer, from here on in. I can't imagine how the supposedly responsible Truthers are going to take this.
Jesse goes north to Syracuse to talk to phony Bellone. We learn helpfully from Jesse that Flight Data Recorders (FDRs) are yellow-striped. And at this point you've got to wonder if somebody's really throwing us all a wink, because (as is shown several times during the show) actually FDRs are orange.
Anyway, Mike Bellone is a discredited witness, but you'd never know that from the extensive face time he gets in this episode. Let's let the NY Daily News give it to us straight:
FIRE MARSHALS ARRESTED a self-proclaimed "honorary firefighter" for allegedly touring the country with pilfered FDNY gear to promote a 9/11 book, officials said yesterday.
Michael Bellone, 51, of Brooklyn, who volunteered at Ground Zero and later collaborated on a book about the experience, showed off the equipment during speeches to schoolchildren, authorities said.
After fielding complaints, FDNY investigators questioned Bellone and discovered that a breathing mask, air tank and other gear he was using had been missing from the department since October 2001, officials said.
But do we hear any of this during the breathless passages of smirk-terviewing that follow? No, Mike's a hero of 9-11, and so what he says must be true. Never mind that Bellone also claimed in his speeches to schoolchildren that he was an honorary FDNY member, never mind this:
He was charged yesterday with grand larceny, criminal impersonation and possession of stolen property.
At any rate, Bellone claims that he personally saw one Flight Data Recorder, and that "Nick" (generally identified as Nicholas DeMasi) told him he found two others. As you would expect, Jesse grills him on his claims.
Uh, no, Jesse looks like he's amazed at this. Wow, you went all the way to Syracuse to interview this guy in a diner and you didn't have any idea what he was going to tell you? Jesse, I knew what he was going to say.
So now the 9-11 Truth Movement is the "what happened to the black boxes movement." Because fully half of the show becomes Jesse on the trail of the FDRs, and leads to the show's climactic moment, when we learn Jesse's new conspiracy theory about 9-11.
When one of the producers questions the value of the black boxes, an obviously scripted bit comes with the black British woman snapping about how it might explain how these lousy pilots could hit the buildings. Yawn, how many times do we have to go over the same points? The towers were 210 feet on a side, wider than an average runway.
After some forgettable bits with other idiots, we go back to Bellone. He's got secret people who want to meet with Jesse to give him important 9-11 information. But they don't show up for the meeting and Bellone says they feel threatened and shut off the camera. Then he tells them something confidential off-camera. Ooooh, mysterious! Do I detect foreshadowing? Then we get Jesse leaving a message on some supposed informant's voice mail about how the "Truth shall set you free". Gawd, this is getting thick!
Later, back at Conspiracy Central, the question comes up, is Mike telling the truth? And once again, they fail to mention Bellone's problems in that regard. Then we get some bit with Jesse talking to a NY FBI agent. Jesse tries the "no steel structure" argument. They get some sort of quote from the poor guy about how the feds indeed sometimes do things surreptitiously, just as Jesse did when he was in the SEALs. Of course Jesse nods at this part.
And now, back to phony Bellone! You didn't think we'd leave the show without one last revelation from him, did you? Well, I've been covering the 9-11 Truthers for about 3-1/2 years now, and I've never heard this one before. Bellone claims to have evidence that the "hijackers" had control of Flight 11 before it left Logan Airport.
Wow. I'm flabbergasted at the pathetic nature of this episode. Even the guy who's supposed to be the skeptic (Alex Piper) should be ashamed of his participation in this ridiculous fraud.
Update: Let me add here that while Bellone's claims are laughable, according to this NY Times piece, he really did work on the pile:
Mr. Bellone was a burly nightclub bouncer from Brooklyn with training as an emergency medical technician when he went down to the Pit (sic). Except for some Saturday nights back at the club where he worked, he said he spent virtually all of the next nine months at ground zero.
But he also claimed to have been an "honorary FDNY" which proved to be false, and his claims on Jesse's show were a joke.

Nico Busted in NYC
Not quite sure what this is all about; although given the date and context at YouTube, I assume that Nico was counter-protesting the protest by Debra Burlingame and others against AG Holder's decision to hold civilian trials for KSM and the four other 9-11 plotters.

Muslim Prayers Near Ground Zero
Don't tell Kevin Barrett about this, or for that matter the no-planers.
On that still-quiet Tuesday morning, the sales staff was in a basement room eating breakfast, waiting to open the doors to the first shoppers at 10 a.m.
There was no immediate sign of the fiery cataclysm that erupted overhead starting at 8:46. But out of a baby-blue sky suddenly stained with smoke, a plane’s landing-gear assembly the size of a World War II torpedo crashed through the roof and down through two empty selling floors of the Burlington Coat Factory.
The Sept. 11, 2001, attack killed 2,752 people downtown and doomed the five-story building at 45 Park Place, two blocks north of the World
Trade Center, keeping it abandoned for eight years.
But for months now, out of the public eye, an iron gate rises every Friday afternoon, and with the outside rumblings of construction at ground zero as a backdrop, hundreds of Muslims crowd inside, facing Mecca in prayer and listening to their imam read in Arabic from the Koran
Some may balk, but you have got to like the attitude of the imam:
The location was precisely a key selling point for the group of Muslims who bought the building in July. A presence so close to the World Trade Center, “where a piece of the wreckage fell,” said Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, the cleric leading the project, “sends the opposite statement to what happened on 9/11.”
“We want to push back against the extremists,” added Imam Feisal, 61.
One of the family members weighs in, unlike A.K. Dewdney, they manage to get her name right.
The F.B.I. said Imam Feisal had helped agents reach out to the Muslim population after Sept. 11. “We’ve had positive interactions with him in the past,” said an agency spokesman, Richard Kolk. Alice Hoagland of Las Gatos, Calif., whose son, Mark Bingham, was killed in the hijacked plane that crashed in Pennsylvania, said, “It’s quite a bold step buying a piece of land adjacent to ground zero,” but she said she considered plans for the site “a noble effort.”
More Success for the Troof Movement
At least according to John Bursill:
Huge Success, YES! 3rd 911 Truth International Conference in Tokyo
This Monday, I had sold only 120 tickets of the 500 available and prepared myself for a huge loss from this event. I was very anxious as the days moved towards Dec 5th, but 3rd 911 Truth International Conference in Tokyo turned out to be our best event ever.
There was so much dedication and love from so many people it is beyond my words. At the end of the reception, Richard said, "This room is full of love and I do 911 truth for love. I have been to so many events and I have never experienced this much dedication and love in my life. Thank you!!"
Yes, he does Troof for love. Note that Bursill does not provide an updated figure for attendance at the Tokyo event; for that we have to look elsewhere:
When I arrived at the lecture theatre I was a little surprised to see how many people there were (between 100 - 150 by my estimates).
Yes, the hall may have been relatively empty of paying customers, but it was full of love and dedication, so who cares if John Bursill took a bath? Update: After the jump, Bursill mentioned that the total attendance was about 330 (including 30 volunteers). My bad for not clicking on the "read more" part, but 9-11 Blogger requires me to use a proxy server and it gets irritating with all the popups.
Angry Soba, the blogger who attended does a great job of describing the event and the flaws in Box Boy's presentation. And he asks the perfect question:
He seemed amicable enough and shook my hand to introduce himself to the only person in the room who disagreed with him. "So, why is it that there were no sounds of explosions on the videos during the collapse of the buildings?" I asked. He thought about it and at first told me that he wasn't sure but that he had heard that the sounds of explosions had been scrubbed from the audio track. I was a bit confused about this, there were plenty of different videos which had the sounds of the buildings collapsing and the sounds of voices on them. I thought it would take quite a job to erase the sounds of just the explosions and to do that from all the videos of all the news channels from every country as well as all the fire and police cameras. Richard Gage smiled, a little nervously I thought, and said, "I know, it sounds like a conspiracy!"
Great job, Angry Soba!
Update: Apparently Gage wasn't alone on this phase of the tour; Benjamin Fulford joined in as well. Remember him? The guy who wrote:
For millennia the ancient Babylonian secret slave driving cults have used the Jews like a matadors’ cape, to distract people from the real source of their anger. When the Jews are attacked, they are forced to huddle around the slave drivers for protection. Later, the cultists appeal to good heart of the people by making them feel guilty about their attacks on the Jews. In Europe and North America, humanity’s natural kindness has been used to brainwash us into a knee-jerk reaction against anything that is labeled Anti-Semitism. The way to remove this brainwash is to compile a database of everything that is called Anti-Semitic and remove from that database anything that is anti-Jew. The remaining body of knowledge can be renamed anti-Satanism. It will be useful in identifying the real villains and the things they are trying to hide.
Yep, the guy who believes that the ancient Babylonian secret slave-driving cults are behind it all, pulling the strings.

Jesse The No-Planer Ventura
Listen to the descriptions of the experts coming up on his 9-11 show, and see if you can see the problem:
Featured Experts and Eyewitnesses: Physicist Steven Jones, who says he found evidence of thermite, a bomb material, in the residue from Ground Zero; explosives expert Van Romero, who performed a test purported to show that liquid thermite can make steel girders burn hotter and faster; demolition expert Brent Blanchard, who says that no inspection for explosive materials was done at the scene; former Air Force pilot Jeff Dahlstrom, who is convinced that 9-11 was a "false flag" operation carried out to push the country into war; Mike Bellone, a recovery worker at Ground Zero who says that he saw airline flight recorders recovered at the scene; Dave Lindorff, a journalist, who says that the recorders were recovered, inspected and turned over to the FBI; Dale Leppard, a former head of the Airline Pilots Association who insists recorders are always found; and former FBI investigator Jack Cloonan, who disputes claims the recorders were found.
Van Romero is presented as a 9-11 "Truth" supporter, but anybody with any experience knows that he's not. And Brent Blanchard says no inspection for explosive materials was done at the scene? Sheesh, Blanchard sounds like another Troof supporter, but we all know he's been quite vigorous about debunking the kooks. What he really says is that there was no evidence of explosive materials at the scene.
On top of that we get phony Bellone and Lindorff, who will presumably attest that he's got an (unnamed) source at the NTSB who told him that they did recover the flight data recorders at the WTC.
But even beyond that, what is the reason for focusing on the black boxes? Isn't it pretty obvious where Ventura's going with this? He's effectively denying that Flight 11 hit the North Tower, and that Flight 175 hit the South Tower. Yep, Jesse has just become a "No-Planer".
Oh, and Dahlstrom took an interesting route to 9-11 Truthiness:
"When 9/11 occurred I bought the entire government and mainstream media story line. I was a lifelong conservative Republican that voted for Bush/Cheney, twice. Curiosity about JFK's death, after a late night TV re-run of Oliver Stone's movie, got me started researching and digging for the truth about his assassins."
If you're stupid enough to fall for one conspiracy theory, you're probably stupid enough to fall for another.

Such a Deal!
Jon Gold promises to forgive the mainstream media for the way they've treated the 9-11 Troof Movement. All they have to do is put Troofers in primetime for two weeks solid. Personally I think he should ask the media to put Richard Gage on at halftime of the Super Bowl, instead of The Who.

Finally an Honest Truther
As I have said before, Kevin Barrett is nutty as a Christmas fruitcake, but he is actually one of the more honest members of the increasingly inaccurately named 9/11 truth movement. From his blog:
As for me, I agree with the vast majority of the world's Muslims in supporting the goals of al-Qaeda while not believing that they did 9/11, and not supporting attacks on civilians:
OK, well except for the attacks on civilians part.

What Is We Are Change?
They may be getting sudden attention on the right side of the blogosphere with this confrontation with Al Gore, which (I have to admit) is entertaining as hell:
But anybody endorsing this action should understand the story behind We Are Change. It's actually nothing more than a splinter group of 9-11 Truthers. Initially based in NYC, it has gained national notoriety due to confrontations like those with Gore, usually involving some sort of argument about nanothermite or the like. But apparently they are on a new kick, and one that might gain them some fans due to the current ClimateGate scandal (about which I take no side here).
We Are Change is made up of crazy people. An early member of We Are Change Colorado (WAC-CO) murdered his own father. Another We Are Change member is currently serving 20 years in federal prison for his role in the Ed Brown tax evasion case. Here's a pic of Brown and WAC founder and president for life Luke Rudkowski:

Are You Ready to Rumble?
My Calgary buddy Rob Breakenridge takes on Jesse "The Truther" Ventura in a steel-cage match, and emerges victorious:
When the subject of 9/11 first comes up, Ventura makes reference to someone with the last name 'Farmer' (Ventura apparently isn't sure about the name), the former senior counsel for the 9/11 commission. Ventura says Mr. Farmer:
"...came out publicly and stated unequivocally that at some point the government decided American citizens would not hear the truth about 9/11"
Well, indeed John Farmer may have said that or something close to it. As you can read here, Farmer believes a CYA mentality set in among several top Bush administration officials.
What Ventura doesn't mention is that Mr. Farmer believes that in the end, the truth was uncovered by the work of the 9/11 Commission.
Indeed, if you read the comments by the "high priest" of the 9-11 "Truth" movement on the Farmer book, you'll find that the Troofers who've actually read the book (and not the cover blurbs) are disappointed that Farmer doesn't back up their crackpot theories:
Even more serious than the book's misleading rhetoric is its one-sidedness. Rather than containing an impartial examination of various types of relevant evidence, this book by Farmer - a former prosecuting attorney - reads like a lawyer's brief: Besides citing a large number of facts that appear to support the Bush-Cheney conspiracy theory and trying to undermine some of the contrary evidence (which supports the alternative theory, according to which 9/11 was an inside job), it seeks to suppress, by simply ignoring, the enormous bulk of this contrary evidence.
Grifter posts a bunch of his "contrary evidence", including, hilariously:
6. Claiming that the alleged hijackers purchased tickets and boarded planes (62, 106), Farmer fails to mention that none of their names - indeed, no Arab names whatsoever - were on the passenger manifests of the flights released by the airlines or on the Pentagon autopsy report (NPHR Ch. 6).
For the 1,000th time, David, the lists released by the airlines were of the victims. By definition, the perpetrators are NOT victims, and thus were not on the lists.
Update: I watched the first episode of Ventura's new TV show, Conspiracy Theory, online here. The show covered HAARP, which crackpots claim is some weather-modifying, earthquake-causing, mind control device. It was definitely a trip. Ventura closes by claiming that as a former Navy SEAL he wouldn't be shut out from a Navy facility. Just for starters, the dolt forgets that he's talking about an Air Force facility:
And anyway, I doubt if Jesse's SEAL trident would get him into lots of naval installations no questions asked. What a maroon!
Next week's episode is on the 9-11 Conspiracy Theories, so I can guarantee I'll be tuning in.
Kudos to the president for not tap-dancing around the issue of 9-11:
To address these issues, it is important to recall why America and our allies were compelled to fight a war in Afghanistan in the first place. We did not ask for this fight. On September 11, 2001, nineteen men hijacked four airplanes and used them to murder nearly 3,000 people. They struck at our military and economic nerve centers. They took the lives of innocent men, women, and children without regard to their faith or race or station. Were it not for the heroic actions of the passengers on board one of those flights, they could have also struck at one of the great symbols of our democracy in Washington, and killed many more.
As we know, these men belonged to al Qaeda – a group of extremists who have distorted and defiled Islam, one of the world’s great religions, to justify the slaughter of innocents. Al Qaeda’s base of operations was in Afghanistan, where they were harbored by the Taliban – a ruthless, repressive and radical movement that seized control of that country after it was ravaged by years of Soviet occupation and civil war, and after the attention of America and our friends had turned elsewhere.
Just days after 9/11, Congress authorized the use of force against al Qaeda and those who harbored them – an authorization that continues to this day. The vote in the Senate was 98 to 0. The vote in the House was 420 to 1. For the first time in its history, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization invoked Article 5 – the commitment that says an attack on one member nation is an attack on all. And the United Nations Security Council endorsed the use of all necessary steps to respond to the 9/11 attacks. America, our allies and the world were acting as one to destroy al Qaeda’s terrorist network, and to protect our common security.
Under the banner of this domestic unity and international legitimacy – and only after the Taliban refused to turn over Osama bin Laden – we sent our troops into Afghanistan. Within a matter of months, al Qaeda was scattered and many of its operatives were killed.
So no – I do not make this decision lightly. I make this decision because I am convinced that our security is at stake in Afghanistan and Pakistan. This is the epicenter of the violent extremism practiced by al Qaeda. It is from here that we were attacked on 9/11, and it is from here that new attacks are being plotted as I speak. This is no idle danger; no hypothetical threat. In the last few months alone, we have apprehended extremists within our borders who were sent here from the border region of Afghanistan and Pakistan to commit new acts of terror. This danger will only grow if the region slides backwards, and al Qaeda can operate with impunity. We must keep the pressure on al Qaeda, and to do that, we must increase the stability and capacity of our partners in the region.
Of course, this burden is not ours alone to bear. This is not just America’s war. Since 9/11, al Qaeda’s safe-havens have been the source of attacks against London and Amman and Bali. The people and governments of both Afghanistan and Pakistan are endangered. And the stakes are even higher within a nuclear-armed Pakistan, because we know that al Qaeda and other extremists seek nuclear weapons, and we have every reason to believe that they would use them.
There has been surprisingly little pushback against this speech from Troofer HQ. Truth Action highlights an anti-escalation rally, featuring the usual suspects:
Speakers include: Cynthia McKinney, Sen. Mike Gravel, Kathy Kelly, Chris Hedges, David Swanson, Phyllis Bennis, Rev. Graylan Hagler, Coy McKinney, Debra Sweet, Brian Becker, Mathis Chiroux, Lynne Williams, Hon. Betty Hall, Elaine Brower, Marian Douglas, Michael Knox, Ralph Lopez, Ron Fisher, and statements from Col. Ann Wright, Stephen Zunes and Granny D (turning 100).
But there is only one mention of Obama invoking 9-11 to justify (rightly, in my view) the escalation of the troop levels in Afghanistan.
Over at Flogger, there is some anger:
Barrack Hussein Obama is a MASSIVE LIAR and is Complicit in Mass Murder and the coverups of 911.
OBAMA is now, certifiably, a shill for the military industrial complex and a tool for the globalist bankers. Continuing an illegal war based on the Big Lie of 9/11. The world knows it was a false-flag attack--and he is now an accessory after the fact.
One of the Troofers tries a little free verse:
abomination obama nation declares war
using false pretense too horrific to ignore
while tens of thousands (no longer people),
but troops, ordered to preserve poppy plants,
dark economies, energy resources, while law
takes order a foot, or two..
soldiers crawl under site - killing being killed,
and told that to justify such a decision to
invade and occupy 9/11 is implicated into
mind altering imagery, denial is its deadly
sound, as people are told to trust untruth,
or we will and can kill you.. or better yet,
don't think of it.. live day to day..
Predictably, the doggerel gets praise:
Deep words, brother.
For the most part it's minor leaguers making the comments, but Jon Gold chips in:
Last time he sent troops to Afghanistan, he did the same thing. Barrack OBusha.

Film "Critic" Compares Loose Change An America Coup to Plan 9 From Outer Space
And the funniest thing is he thinks that's a compliment:
Later he speculates on Loose Change Part VI versus Leonard Part VI. Hilarious.

Jesse On the Crazy Train
Sweet Jeebus, he sounds like somebody who watched Loose Change while smoking bong hits all night and then trying to explain it to somebody at the water cooler in the morning. Remember, this is now the most visible spokesman for 9-11 Truthiness, with his show (debuting tonight) on TruTV. Unfortunately tonight will focus on HAARP, which according to the TV listing is some sort of mind control (although I thought it was weather control).
Update: Jesse on Opie & Anthony today (profanity, NSFW):

Separated at Birth?
Osama bin Laden, from his famous 1996 fatwa:
Hence it is essential to hit the main enemy who divided the Ummah into small and little countries and pushed it, for the last few decades, into a state of confusion. The Zionist-Crusader alliance moves quickly to contain and abort any "corrective movement" appearing in the Islamic countries. Different means and methods are used to achieve their target; on occasion the "movement" is dragged into an armed struggle at a predetermined unfavourable time and place.
Kevin Barrett on his blog:
The answer is obvious: This war on Islam is being waged by a fanatical minority of Zionists who have used their power in finance, media, political money, and organized crime to essentially take over the US and turn it against its own interests, as well as the interests of the world's Muslims.
The Zionists know that if Muslims gain even a tiny fraction of the power they ought to have, relative to their proportion of the world's population, Israel as a Jewish apartheid state is finished.
That is why the heavily-Zionist-influenced media churns out Islamophobic fantasies 24/7/365. And that is why the Zionists have duped the U.S. into a war on Islam, disguised as a self-evidently-absurd "war on terror," launched by the 9/11 coup d'etat.
It is time for patriotic Americans to rise up and overthrow the Zionist facist regime that overthrew our government and burned our Constitution on September 11th, 2001. And it is time for Americans to demand a rational foreign policy that takes account of American interests, rather than being subservient to the interests of Zionism.
Your brothers in Palestine and in the land of the two Holy Places are calling upon your help and asking you to take part in fighting against the enemy --your enemy and their enemy-- the Americans and the Israelis. they are asking you to do whatever you can, with one own means and ability, to expel the enemy, humiliated and defeated, out of the sanctities of Islam.
Since when did YOU decide you were going to put up with all this, instead of doing what the people of Iraq and Afghanistan and Palestine are doing and actually fighting back?
Bob Kerrey Gets Truth-Squadded
Just keep in mind how long Jeremy goes on before actually getting to a "question". Hell, he's a minute and a half in and he's still rambling on about how JFK was going to deescalate the war in Vietnam. Of course, this is pure fantasyland; in fact, JFK increased the number of US troops from 800 to 16,500 in the final month before his assassination. Correction: This was the increase during the JFK administration.
There are two more parts to the video, and in the end the Troofers think they got him to admit a conspiracy that goes back over 30 years; of course sane people assume he's talking about folks like Zawahiri, not some murky CIA plot. I am pleased to hear the amusement in the crowd as Kerrey blows him off; clearly everybody there knew that a crackpot question was asked and got the kind of response it deserved.
