The Commissar Vanishes
I got my undergraduate degree in Russian Studies, specializing in 20th Century Soviet history and politics. I actually did my senior thesis on the use of propaganda during the period of collectivization, which gives me an excellent background to talk about the 9/11 "truth" movement.
There is an interesting little coffee table book called "The Commissar Vanishes" that I have (on my coffee table ironically) which is about the Stalinist practice of "disappearing" your enemies. When a political opponent falls out of favor (also known as killed), you simply airbrush his face from the history books, and pretend he never existed.
What does this have to do with 9/11 "truth". Well, this is apparently what happened to the Loose Change forum. Some people spoke out, they were purged, the entire forum was erased, and now it is back, like nothing ever happened. Although now it appears you have to register just to view it.
Like it never happened at all...

For a bunch of geniuses who claim to have opened their eyes, they aren't very perceptive.
What I don't know yet whether it's funny or not is if he was able to carry over to the new board the dozens of IP his staff had established or if the first 200 members will be from JREF.
There are tumbleweeds blowing through that forum right now. I wonder how long it's been up.

I remember seeing a Weekly World news photo of the moon landing where they were like "You can see the lights hanging in the studio!"
As if everyone in history whom had seen this photo had missed all these lights hanging there. Hilarious.
And then afterwards you can watch video of Lenin and Stalin and whenever Stalin comes into frame, a soldier has been edited over him.

I wonder if they had their findings published in the WWN, would they claim the "mainstream" media is onboard with them?
I posted on that hilarious forum under an assumed name. When I deigned to question those fools about having actual proof of their allegations, I was tossed.

Awesome book! I "read" it (well, it's 75% pictures, so "read" seems like a wrong word to use) when I was a library assistance back at Westside High in Houston (lived there for three years). Awesome and pretty spooky title.
Are book recommendations a new feature of SLC, or is this just a single case;)?

OK, I'll explain this to you also Joan:
Getting one post deleted because it's inappropriate is quite different than getting everything you've ever posted deleted because someone suddenly decides that you should never have existed. One is censorship based on inappropriate comment. The other is an attempt to make an entire segment of history disappear.
