Alex and Charlie's Other Friend

This is only tangentially related to 9-11 Troof, but I thought it interesting enough to post anyway. In the rant that resulted in the shutting down of Two and a Half Men, Charlie Sheen and Alex Jones kept talking about this guy "Nails". Nails, of course, is the former major league baseball player Lenny Dykstra, and they bring him on the show with them during this segment:

Dykstra was a hard-nosed baseball player in the Pete Rose mold, which made him a fan favorite wherever he played (for the NY Mets in 1986-89 and the Philadelphia Phillies from 1989-96). Unfortunately, he did not have Rose's talent, brains or class (and yes, comparing him negatively to Charlie Hustle in those latter two qualities is very much an insult). He finally washed out of baseball and, astonishing everyone who knew him in his playing days, transformed himself into a successful businessman through buying and selling a chain of car washes for millions and becoming something of an investment guru. He ended up owning Wayne Gretzky's old $18.5 million house, was chauffeured around in his $400,000 automobile and was flown around the country in his Gulfstream jet.

Unfortunately, as you can probably guess from the fact that he's a buddy of Charlie Sheen, it was all a house of cards that has come crashing down around him. Here are two terrific articles on "Nails" and his post-playing career:

You Think Your Job Sucks? Try Working for Lenny Dykstra

Dykstra's business: a bed of 'Nails'

Some details from the latter:
Even members of Dykstra's family are lined up on the list of those to whom he owes money. His older brother, Brian, has yet to collect a $12,000 judgment awarded by the California Labor Relations Board. His younger brother, Kevin, alleges Dykstra cheated him out of $4 million on the sale of the family-run car washes, though Kevin hasn't filed suit.

On April 16, Terri, Dykstra's wife of more than 20 years and the mother of their three boys, filed for divorce. Through her attorney, she declined to comment for this story.

The family rift runs so deep that until recently, Dykstra had spoken to his mother only once in the past three years, according to his brothers, and wasn't allowing her any contact with his sons, her grand children.

Last month, though, on March 23, Dykstra picked up the phone and woke up his mother with a call at around 6 in the morning, according to Kevin Dykstra, his younger brother. Lenny was stranded in Cleveland. He wanted to charter a jet so he could get to a business meeting on the West Coast, and his credit cards were maxed out. He needed nearly $23,000 and asked his mother for it, Kevin says.

His mother agreed to let him use her credit card.

Kevin Dykstra says she has yet to be repaid.

And, yeah, he's got Sheen's taste for painted hussies (although Sheen at least pays them):

Porn star Monica Foster, who's accusing Lenny Dykstra of bouncing a $1,000 check to her for escort services, tells RadarOnline.com the baseball player-turned-businessman "is a coward" who "thinks he can just treat people like crap."

And other things:
Kevin Dykstra acknowledges that he briefed investigators for the Mitchell report as well as Major League Baseball security on what he describes as Lenny's use of recreational and performance-enhancing drugs during his playing days. Kevin says he was a source of the drugs for his brother, even after Lenny's baseball career ended.

Goodbye Bentham Open Chemical Physics Journal

Well, well, it looks like they do have some standards after all. Bentham Publishers has dropped the journal which published the Active Thermitic Materials paper by Harrit and Jones:

There is an Open Physical Chemistry Journal, but the Thermite paper is not located there. If you do a search for Harrit, the paper is shown on their site, but it's a ghost; clicking on the link gives you a 404 error.

But I'll let the Von Trapps have the final word:

Another Victim of the Troof

The world's most famous truther, well after Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at least, follows in the footsteps of Steven Jones and Kevin Ryan, and hits the unemployment line for the "troof". Somehow I don't think this will cut into his supply of hookers and blow though.

CBS has ended production of the hit comedy "Two and a Half Men" for the season, the network said late Thursday.

The move came after star actor Charlie Sheen took to the air waves Thursday to slam show creator Chuck Lorre in a rambling, erratic interview on syndicated radio's "The Alex Jones Show."

"Based on the totality of Charlie Sheen's statements, conduct and condition, CBS and Warner Bros. Television have decided to discontinue production of "Two and a Half Men" for the remainder of the season," CBS Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television said in a statement.

The show had been in hiatus since January when Sheen entered rehab after displaying erratic behavior.

I wonder if he will show up in Oneonta with Jason and Korey now.

Proof of Voice-Morphing BS by Ventura

Pay particular attention to the bit starting around 2:50 in where the expert used by Ventura, Kent Gibson, notes that he can take a tape of Obama's voice saying something, and then say those same words and using the program, make it conform to Obama's voice. But of course, that is absolutely useless for the voice-morphing claims of Grifter and Ventura, since if you had, for example, tape of Mark Bingham talking about hijackers on the plane, there would be no need for the morphing; just play the tape back.

Yes, You Are Wrong

The Troofers try to shame me:

Would you admit you were wrong? Would you apologize to all of the families you have disrespected? Would you apologize to all of the first responders you have disrespected? Would you apologize to all of the sincere members of the 9/11 Truth Movement you have slandered, harassed, and/or threatened? Either by directly taking part in these acts, or by promoting them? Would you apologize to the 9/11 Truth Movement for trying to paint us all as crazies by focusing on the fringiest of the fringe?

The families we have disrespected? You must have us confused with David L. Griscom, who believes that many of the passengers on the four flights are still alive and living it up, courtesy of a fat Swiss bank account. Or perhaps David Ray Griffin, who still cannot let go of "Mom, this is Mark Bingham?" Or Dylan Avery, who talked about how one of the parents of a Flight 77 victim "sent his son off to die?" Or Cosmos, who doesn't believe that his "Uncle" Mickey was a hero on a hero flight?

The first responders we have disrespected? Maybe he's talking about Jason Bermas, who said, "Absolutely the firemen have been paid off?" Maybe he's talking about the new Ed Asner motion picture "Confession of a 9-11 Conspirator", which opens with a (fictional) fire chief confessing that he helped cover up the controlled demolition at the World Trade Center?

The fringiest of the fringe? Let's see, is he talking about Patty Casazza, who thinks that the government knew the time, date and targets of the attacks?

Is he talking about Bob McIlvaine, who thinks his son was blown up before the planes hit the World Trade Center? (Start about 7:10):

Is he talking about David Ray Griffin, the "guru" of the 9-11 Troof Movement, who believes that the families of the victims on Flight 93 were duped by voice-morphed actors playing their loved ones? Is he talking about Troof Movement superstar Richard Gage, who believes Muslims had nothing to do with 9-11? Is he talking about Jim Hoffman, who thinks the thermite was located inside the ceiling tiles?

The problem here is the notion that once you strip away all the nonsense, that there's anything really worth arguing about. If you accept that the hijackers were 19 pissed-off Muslims under the command of Khalid Sheikh Mohamed and Osama Bin Laden, and that there was no controlled demolition and that Flight 93 was not shot down, what's left to debate? If you want to argue that the warnings should have been sufficient and that the attacks could have been prevented but weren't because of incompetence, go right ahead. I disagree, as does Lawrence Wright and virtually everybody else who's looked hard at the evidence, but it's not a completely "fringe" position.

Ah, but there's the rub. Even the supposed reasonable "Truthers" don't believe that; it's just a bit of camouflage. They want to argue incompetence so they can turn around and argue that nobody could be that incompetent, and therefore the government had to know and so we're right back in conspiracy cuckoo land. Pardon me for not accepting your premise; in my opinion that's every bit as crazy as TV fakery and voice-morphing.

Why, Yes, He Is A Nutty Conspiracy Theorist

A Truther profiles a pilot whom we've heard of before:

Meet another comrade in the fight for truth, Lt. Col. Guy Razer, member, Pilots for 9/11 Truth.

Besides being a decorated combat fighter pilot, Col. Razer also happens to know quite a bit about demolishing steel and concrete structures. As an Air Force weapons effects expert, he was responsible for wartime tasking of the most appropriate aircraft/munition combinations for target destruction, including steel and concrete superstructures. Col. Razer is also an expert on aeronautical structures, and has conducted advanced stress analysis on a variety of modern airframes.

Yep, it's our old buddy the retired colonel who lives in a tent and has HBO.

The Truther closes with this:
Is Col. Razer, too, another “nutty conspiracy theorist”?

Nuttier than a Blue Diamond warehouse:

12 Angry Morons

Ed Asner has sent out a casting call:

It's apparent that this is going to be a full-blown "TRUTH" film; Asner says that Al Qaeda didn't do it, which means that we're probably going to be treated to voice-morphed phone calls and the like.

My New Favorite Truther "Peer-Reviewed Paper"

At one time the Journal of 9/11 Studies announced it was no longer publishing, due to their supposed success at getting papers into mainstream journals, but now they are back with new works, albeit sporadically. This month a pair of papers, including what is basically a 21 page editorial on why Australia should not be involved in combat operations in Afghanistan. How exactly they "peer reviewed" this, who knows, but then again any journal which allowed 7 versions of a paper by Frank Legge arguing that no plane hit the Pentagon pretty much has given up any pretense of having standards anyway. In any case I was rather amused by this paper's start.

A Brief History.
The archaeological record shows that humans have occupied the area currently known as Afghanistan for more than 100,000 years. Strategically located at the crossroads of some of the ancient world’s greatest civilizations Afghanistan was crisscrossed by the Silk Road. This network of routes carried silk and spices from China to the west, and wool and gold to the east.

I couldn't help but flash back to an episode of the sitcom The Big Bang Theory where the socially dysfunctional Sheldon tries to teach the cute but dumb neighbor Penny physics. "It is there in ancient Greece that our story begins..."

Rove: Stomp on Birthers and "9-11 Deniers"

Amen. We don't cover the Birthers around here, but they're right up there with the Truthers in terms of brainpower. In fact, one of the original Birthers was also a major Troofer: Phil Berg. A recent poll indicated that as many as 51% of Republican primary voters believe Obama was not born in the United State. Now, as Rove indicates, that's probably about as likely as the polls from a couple years back that indicated something like half of all Democrats were 9-11 Troofers. But any number much over 10% is a cause for concern.

Jon Gold: I'm Bigger than Egypt!

Which of course is a slight exaggeration:
On January 31st, two acts of civil disobedience for 9/11 Justice were committed in front of the White House and 10 Downing Street respectively. Not one news outlet reported on it. Even a news outlet that promised me they would report on it, did not. The excuse given to me was that Egypt's revolution was more important.

I've got news for you, Jon. A mosquito bite is more newsworthy than a couple 9-11 Troofers getting their doltish butts thrown in jail.

Whole Lot of Shakin' Going On

Over at 9-11 Flogger, in the wake of Eric Larson's takedown of David Ray Griffin and his fantasy about cellphone fakery. That post is approaching 200 comments at this point.

Some of them understand the consequences of accepting that the phone calls were real:
I'm afraid that conceding the phone calls are real is would make the OCT true in many people's opinion, if not a whole lot harder to prove a conspiracy. Is there any plausible scenario how the hijackers could have been on the plane until the very last moment and it still be a conspiracy?

Aye, there's the rub. Remember, only last week we posted a video of Richard Gage, the reigning superstar of 9-11 Troof, saying that Muslims weren't behind 9-11. Now, it's probably true that the Troofers, like the three little pigs, can run to the next house in search of safety from the big, bad wolf. They'll say, well, okay there were hijackers but a) they weren't really Muslims and b) they didn't fly the planes:
Even if hijackers were on the planes, it is far from clear they were in control of those planes for the entire flights, or much beyond the point of hijacking.

No matter how many layers of the onion are peeled away, there's always a conspiracy theory left over.

It's amusing in a way, but also a little sad. We spend our time here poking fun at them, but reading the posts you can see that they really don't see how deluded they are. It's not an internet game to them. They've invested a great deal of time and effort in 9-11 Troof. Granted, some of them seem to have done it with half a brain. It's amazing how much hooey gets recycled in that post. One guy goes on and on about the length of some of the phone calls:

The phone call by Jeremy Glick would not have been interrupted by the crash of the aircraft. Phone call started at 9:37:41. line left open (7,565 seconds). So the call ends at 11:43:46. This conflicts with the official crash time of 10:03 AM.

There is no technical explanation that I know of and unless you can come up with one you should accept that these calls were not made from the plane. At very least this is evidence that the calls were not made from the plane.

Now, how deluded do you have to be to believe that the government would go to all the trouble of faking the phone calls, only to have it blown because somebody forgot to hang up the phone?

Calling David Ray Griffin...

Eric Larson, AKA Loose Nuke at 9-11 Blogger and Rancho Truth at Truth Action, takes on the guru of the movement over the phone calls. There's some solid debunking in the piece, like this:

In this section Griffin does not present evidence of faked calls. Instead, he cites a number of media reports and witness statements to the FBI regarding passengers and crew using cell phones, and argues, based on other reports, that cell phone calls from planes were impossible in 2001. From this, he argues the reported calls from the flights must have been faked, and the FBI and 9/11 Commission have covered this up. However, some of the reports of cell phones being used are contradicted by reports of air phones being used, as well as call records that show air phones being used. There’s also evidence that cell phone calls from planes were possible before 2001. In addition, Griffin doesn’t consider the possibility that cell phone repeaters could have been placed on the 9/11 flights.

And:

Certainly, ‘debunker’ websites such as 9/11 Myths have easily exposed flaws in the voice morphing theory: For instance, though the technology existed at the time, the inventor, George Papcun, has commented that voice-morphing a conversation in near real time would be more complex than fabricating a simple recorded statement, and would require an extensive recording as a sample. It would be even more difficult to fool the subject’s family members, who, in addition to being familiar with the person’s voice, would be familiar with their unique communication style and intimate details of their lives. One victim, Linda Gronlund, even left the combination to her safe on her sister’s voice mail.

However, he ruins it with the usual muttering about how they already have enough evidence of an inside job/coverup:

The truth is that the official 9/11 story quickly falls apart when examined from many different angles. For instance, it’s false that US, Saudi, Pakistani and Israeli intelligence agencies have not exploited terrorist organizations in proxy wars and operations, including Al Qaeda, and that there are no connections between them and the 9/11 plot. It's false that all of the alleged hijackers were Islamic radicals; some of them drank, used drugs, bought lap dances and prostitutes, and some activities were facilitated by FAA, INS and CIA actions and inactions. It’s false that no one in the US government imagined a planes-as-missiles attack on US cities, that there were no warning signs and intelligence pointing to the 9/11 plot, and that key people at State, NSA, CIA, INS, FBI, FAA, NMCC, NORAD, Secret Service and the White House were unaware of and/or incapable of preventing the 9/11 plot, as the public was originally told. Though it documented some new facts about what was known and not done prior to and on 9/11, the 9/11 Commission Report largely ignored, glossed over or explained away the issues raised by the links above. Things like the Project for the New American Century, PTech, pre-9/11 Afghanistan war planning, pre-9/11 Iraq war planning, unusual financial transactions, coincident military exercises and the 2001 Anthrax attack got similar treatment, as did suspicious behavior, strange decisions and false statements on the part of principals such George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Condoleezza Rice, George Tenet, John Ashcroft, Robert Mueller, Richard Myers, Ralph Eberhart and others.

Still it's nice to see the other side washing off least some of the garbage that David Ray Griffin flings against the wall, hoping it will stick.

Sticking It To Penn and Teller

A normal person, after humiliating himself so badly, would not post it on YouTube. Fortunately, Troofers are not normal people, and so we get the huge entertainment value out of this clip. Like all the dolts, he has to give a speech first, in lieu of asking an actual question. And he misstates the number of "Truther" architects and engineers as 4200; the correct number is of course 42 million.

Why They're 9-11 Deniers

Terrific post by Neighborhood Rationalist:

Organizations like al Qaeda leave their indelible mark wherever they go. 9/11 deniers are required to pretend that those marks are just Western operatives covering their own tracks – an obvious delusion to everyone who has seen it in action, knows its members, and knows those who are tempted by it and any other extremist organization. To me, this is the key – 9/11 deniers flatly deny virtually every relevant event in the lead-up to 9/11. They deny that centuries of geopolitical events ever occurred. To them, history begins at the Balfour Declaration, crescendos when Ronald Reagan begins supplying anti-Communist rebels in Afghanistan, and ends when George Bush plants bombs in the North Tower and scampers off in a black helicopter. Between these pockmarks on the historical landscape there are thousands of religious ideologues, millions of oppressed victims of colonialism, and countless strategic opportunists struggling to guide human affairs to their own ends. 9/11 denier history is the shallowest history of all, one that requires them to reject the needs, desires, machinations and schemes of billions of people across centuries. 9/11 denial is reality denial.

I would just add that his emailer said this:
As I'm sure you are aware, Holocaust Denial is the belief that the Holocaust simply did not take place, that the event did not occur.

Actually Nizkor notes that there are three main elements of Holocaust Denial:

1. Deny the number (five to six million Jews exterminated).
2. Deny the plan (Nazi attempt to destroy the Jews)
3. Deny the method (many by gassing, although plenty were shot or died of starvation/privation).

Now, impose that template on 9-11. Some Truthers deny the number (for example, David L. Griscom with his "all the passengers survived" hypothesis). Almost all of them deny the method (collapse of the buildings caused by fire and structural damage), and the plan (Al Qaeda and 19 hijackers).

Richard Gage Admits He Has Poor Judgment

There has been a bit of a troofer civil war going over the CIT promoted no-plane-at-the-Pentagon theory, where the opponents of this contend that anyone promoting this theory must be some sort of COINTEL disinfo operative. Richard Gage, one of the more prominent appeal to authority fallacy characters in the movement has caused quite a controversy by endorsing their viewpoint. Now, in response to this criticism he has now unendorsed, them.

In early 2009, I watched the “National Security Alert” video by the Citizen Investigation Team (CIT) where recollections of 10 eyewitness accounts of the attack on the Pentagon were presented (of many more that were interviewed). These accounts included the witnesses’ recollection of the path being taken by the plane prior to impact. The path that many of them recalled was to the north of the former CITGO gas station. Based on these few accounts CIT presented its case that the plane flew over the Pentagon since the damage trail was not consistent with the north path.

My main focus relative to 9/11 had been on the destruction of the three World Trade Center skyscrapers. I had not been able to spend much time on the Pentagon issue. I was initially impressed by CIT’s presentation and, more than a year and a half ago, provided a short statement of support for their efforts.

It took him nearly two years to figure out that they were a bunch of idiots? This is someone who by his own account studies 9/11 full-time? His excuse that he doesn't focus on the Pentagon is ridiculous. Hell, it took Pat and I about 10 minutes to figure out how idiotic this theory is, and we are just a couple of part-time bloggers. Gage considers himself one of the foremost authorities in the world on these issues, yet he still endorses theories which he himself admits are dishonestly created and not factually based. Pathetic.

The Many Looks of Sander Hicks

Sander did this vanity video to introduce himself and his "Truth Party", which is clearly headed towards major electoral success. Note how often his facial hair changes; this guy has more looks than Lady Gaga. Note as well his occupation (shown near the end). Maybe he, Brian and W-Rod could form another professional group: Mop-jockeys for 9-11 Truth!

Brit Troofer Busted In Gold-Inspired Stunt

The actual details aren't that interesting, but you gotta love that picture of them dragging him away. Typical Troofer story about friends and family:
The effect finding out about 9/11 had on my relationships with my friends and family was definitely a challenge. Initially I found talking about the issue a demoralising and mostly unsuccessful venture. Their rejection of the information hit me pretty hard but I knew I lacked a strong grasp of the subject matter.

So he took a three-month course in Troofology....

Box Boy: Cause of 9-11 Has Nothing To Do With Muslims

The rest of the interview is pretty much the usual yadda yadda--own footprint, freefall speed--but it is very interesting to hear Gage denying the Muslim hijackers.

Sherlock Holmes Would Be Rolling Over In His Grave

If he weren't a fictional character. Jon Cole, David Chandler's partner in Troofiness, has created a video:

I like to use a little metric called TFLOM, for Time to First Lie Or Mistake. This one probably sets the all-time speed record, as less than 3 seconds in, he shows this quote: "Condemnation before investigation, is the highest form of ignorance."-Albert Einstein. There are two problems with that quote: a) Einstein didn't say it, and b) that's not the proper quotation.

The actual quote goes something like this: "There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all argument, and which cannot fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance. This principle is, contempt prior to examination."

Cole's video doesn't get better. Thirteen seconds in he spews the "some of the hijackers were alive" meme. Then we get the Rex Tomb "quote" about no evidence tying Bin Laden to the attacks 26 seconds in. At this point, I was beginning to think this must be one of those "how many errors can you spot" contests, especially since the next bit is about the gas pipeline across Afghanistan.

And then, after establishing that he's a full-on kooky kook mckookster, Cole gets into the sort of "evidence" that we'd expect an engineer to present on buildings and collapses. The missing jolt, etc.

What's the term the Troofers like to use for this sort of video? Turd in the punchbowl is what Alex Jones calls it. See, you have this delicious punch (the controlled demolition "evidence") but in the middle of it, you place an enormous turd, so that nobody wants to drink the punch. The assumption here is that you discredit the good stuff with the bad, and that the person doing it must be a disinfo operative.

And I do have to wonder. What else would explain Cole starting off his video with all that zany stuff?

Oh, snap! He's a kooky kook mckookster!

Yes Cosmos Did Present Himself As A Family Member

Remember the whole bit a few months back about Cosmos claiming to be a nephew of Mickey Rothenberg? Well, after I called him out on it based on information developed by a pair of loathsome toads named Adam Syed and Hang 'Em High Kevin Barrett, Cosmos retorted hotly:
I have never referred to myself as a “9/11 family member”. During 2007 and 2008, I hosted a radio show called Truth Revolution Radio. I only mentioned Mickey a few times during the run of the show, but each time I did I noted the exact nature of my relationship to him. There are dozens of documented examples showing that I’ve frequently and publicly clarified my connection to Mark Rothenberg.

(Italics in original).

Syed had come up with a couple examples of Cosmos presenting himself as having lost an uncle on 9-11, like this one (starts about 6:30):

But you know how it is, some people do refer to a family friend as "my uncle", so it was hard to say that Cosmos was being completely untruthful. At least, until I remembered this clip (skip ahead to 8:00):

"I'm a family member. My uncle died on 9-11, what do you mean I'm spitting on his memory? I resent that. I really resent that."

Note in particular that Cosmos uses his supposed familial relationship in exactly the way I suggested:
IMHO, Cosmos just used "Uncle" Mickey as a shield. How dare anybody question him; his uncle was murdered in the attacks!

Oh Cosmoooooos! You got some 'splainin' to do!

Sarshar's Incredible Expanding Story

Sibel Edmonds gives us what Behrooz Sarshar supposedly told to the 9-11 Commission. Taken at face value it's a pretty explosive story:

1. Reasonably specific warnings of the terrorist attacks of 9-11, including mention of specific US cities:
‘According to my guys, Bin Laden’s group is planning a massive terrorist attack in the United States. The order has been issued. They are targeting major cities, big metropolitan cities; they think four or five cities; New York City, Chicago, Washington DC, and San Francisco; possibly Los Angeles or Las Vegas. They will use airplanes to carry out the attacks. They said that some of the individuals involved in carrying this out are already in the United States. They are here in the U.S.; living among us, and I believe some in US government already know about all of this (I assumed he meant the CIA or the White House).’

2. Mention of tall buildings possibly as targets:
‘I’ve been thinking about this; trying to make more sense out of it myself. The source mumbled something about tall buildings. Maybe they will blow up the plane over some tall buildings; I don’t know.

3. That the attack was imminent (as of the Spring of 2001):
‘No specific dates; not any that they were aware of. However, they said the general timeframe was characterized as ‘very soon.’ They think within the next two or three months.’

There's just one little problem with the above; Sarshar has already discussed much of what he had to say with the Chicago Tribune way back in 2004 (around the time of his testimony) and none of those allegations appeared in that story.

Specific US cities? Nope:
According to the law enforcement official, "there was talk about terrorists and planes," but no mention of when or where the attacks might take place.

It was the FBI agents' impression, the official said, that the target of the attacks could be "possibly here, but more probably overseas." The Asset also reported having heard a rumor that a plane would be hijacked to Afghanistan, the official said.

The FBI's translator, a former Iranian police colonel named Behrooz Sarshar, does not recall any mention of a hijacking to Afghanistan. But Sarshar, then a career FBI employee assigned to the translation section of the bureau's Washington field office, does remember the Asset saying the attacks might take place in the U.S. or Europe, and also that the terrorist-pilots were "under training."

Note that the current article does not mention Europe at all as a possible target; Texas sharpshooter fallacy, anybody? The 2004 article does not mention tall buildings at all, although obviously this would have been a spectacular revelation. And the specific time frame mentioned in the current article? The Tribune piece is quite adamant about that:
According to the law enforcement official, "there was talk about terrorists and planes," but no mention of when or where the attacks might take place.

Note as well the dramatic point in the piece on Sibel's site:
Now the informant had our full attention; the agents seemed very alarmed, since their main unit of operation was under the WFO Counterterrorism division. They asked the guy to stop, asked him to repeat that again, and ordered me to take verbatim notes as I translated.

But that's not what Sarshar himself reported in 2004
According to Sarshar, the two FBI agents who interviewed the Asset were not visibly surprised by his report. It was his impression, Sarshar said, that the agents weren't sure whether to believe their informant, and that even the Asset wasn't convinced his information was true.

Note as well that in the current article, Sarshar names the two FBI agents who were with him as "Tony and John". But in one of the few unredacted portions of Sarshar's interview:

He couldn't remember the name of one of the agents.

I would love to see Sarshar's testimony unredacted; based on what we already know there is no real good reason for keeping it secret. But I'm guessing that it bears little resemblance to the account at Sibel Edmonds' site.

Wikileaks Exposes 9/11 Related Suspects

Wikileaks has its first 9/11 related leak. Unfortunately for the troofers... uhh... it looks like Arabs did it. Via the UK Telegraph:

Secret documents reveal that the three Qatari men conducted surveillance on the targets, provided “support” to the plotters and had tickets for a flight to Washington on the eve of the atrocities.

The suspected terrorists flew from London to New York on a British Airways flight three weeks before the attacks.

They allegedly carried out surveillance at the World Trade Centre, the White House and in Virginia, the US state where the Pentagon and CIA headquarters are located.

Ten days later they flew to Los Angeles, where they stationed themselves in a hotel near the airport which the FBI has now established was paid for by a “convicted terrorist”, who also paid for their airline tickets.

Jon Gold Handcuffs Himself to Fence; World Yawns

Gotta love that he claims there is no justification for anything that happened as a result of 9-11; sort of puts the lie to his "just asking questions and demanding accountability" BS. What he means is that he's not going to be specific about his crackpot ideas.

Gold's rather breathless account here.

One of the police rode their bike up to where we were sitting, and parked. He stood there for a minute or two, and then said, “are you Mr. Gold?” I responded, “Yes, that’s me.” He asked, “are you still planning on chaining yourself to the fence?” I said, “that is my intention.” He said, “I wish you wouldn’t.” To me, it was clear intimidation, but lucky for me, I am one stubborn individual.

The fascist bastard! How dare he say, "I wish you wouldn't." How intimidating! Lucky for Jon, the stormtroopers let him give his little speech before taking him to Guantanamo Bay.
